I installed the D5S 45W version on my stock 16 Sierra SLE. Firstly, the color is not matching the LED lights and looks ugly. Secondly, I noticed sometimes when Engine started bulbs are blinking and stop working. I have to off and turn it on again few times till it works fine. Did anyone face this issue? Do I need to fix a converter or reprogram the computer?
35w D5S's are doing it too. I contacted Morimoto and discovered that there is a "Note" under "Compatibility" that states that they won't work properly in automatic mode. We must turn the lights on manually. For that reason I am returning mine for a full refund.

Hello, I have a Jeep Compass and it has Philips Xenon headlight the same as the Silverado. I would like to trade it for a Super Led D5S, do you think it might present some problem using Super Led in the car that comes with factory xenon?
Bro...i have the same in my Scross 1.6...but sadly there is no upgrade in the D5S 25W from Philips. There are various options available in Auxbeam brand, but these stock Philips D5S goes along with which 'H' pattern...its very difficult to find out. If u find any solution...plz do inform Me too...✌
Do you have factory HIDs? If you do, then these will totally work, if not, you will need something else! Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!
@RandomVids519 because it may be introducing extra load on the wire or relays leading up to the ballast. If we could just run a small wire and install a ballast before the lamp to avoid extra load, buildings would not need multiple lighting circuits. But as it is we can only install up to 20 amps on a 12-wire circuit. I'm guessing cars are a similar idea
Hi guys, should it not say 50% brighter HID D5S bulbs? If LUX at 20 feet is 550 (factory HID) and 820 (Morimoto HID), then I don't see how you can say Morimoto is 150% brighter. Morimoto LUX would have to be at 1375 for the bulbs to be 150% brighter than stock D5S. You won't get 150% more light with an extra 10W of power (the difference between factory 25W D5S and Morimoto 35W D5S). Please explain.
Can I replace them with LED light bulbs on my truck 2018 Silverado I don’t like HIDS LEDS are much brighter but I can really replace them with LED so my truck will be fully LED because I thought these trucks were fully led not hids it has led fog lights which is weird because it should be fully led im going to replace them anyway with LEDs
Hey Lester! In most scenarios, HID is actually a lot brighter than LED. However, LEDs have a lot of great benefits like no warm up time, reliability, installation, and less components. We unfortunately don't have a D5S LED bulb. Let us know if you have any other questions at all!

On the Website Morimoto states that these bulbs have a lifespan of 2500 hours, is that correct or a typo? That would be 104 or so days not straight obviously but still for $350!
Thanks for watching! The life span on these these bulbs is 2500 hours of running light. Keep in mind that these bulbs do come with a two year warranty.

Question. Would you ever do a video on a 2016 to 2018 LTZ with full LED headlights tutorial. Is there a LED plug and play upgrade for "factory" LEDs in the LTZ, High Country level Silverados or GMC Denali. Not talking about replacing the whole headlamp assembly.
Headlight Revolution so why wouldnt morimoto make them with the pwm so that more people would buy them, pretty dumb I think! If Im paying $350 for HID bulbs they better have that feature included!

Just purchased these for a 2018 Silverado. Dumb question: anybody know how to access the headlight bulb? I’ve got no rubber dust cover behind the bulb housing, as shown in this video - only a hard plastic shroud fully containing the entire head light assembly. Remove entire headlight assembly perhaps?

Hey Martin, You're correct. It looks like we made a mistake there, Thank you for catching that!
Yeah thanks Martin, thanks to you we are NOT going to change the title 😎💪🏻🤣🤣
Is an LED conversion the best lighting option at this point in time? Rather than this D5S upgrade. Just seems the leds nowadays are brighter
Not for HIDs, we still recommend using HIDs with HID projectors.
Are there d5s led bulbs and if so, can we install them just as easy as these?
Unfortunately there are not. :( If you have HID bulbs already, we recommend upgrading to another HID bulb.

@@thisguy23 there are led conversion of D5S, but no one tried guess. Check it on ali express thanks.
Why on earth would you want to downgrade from OEM HID to aftermarket LED? Never makes any sense when people want to downgrade.

You don't have to disconnect the battery.

Why does the auto light feature in your truck not work with these?
the auto light system uses a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal to turn on the lights and will not ignite the aftermarket bulbs properly.
Headlight Revolution so why wouldnt morimoto make them with the pwm so that more people would buy them, pretty dumb I think! If Im paying $350 for HID bulbs they better have that feature included!
