manix is a great knife.
I have the same manix 2 , I didn't like the yellow. So I rid dye it green , my 1st time dyeing anything. It turned out awesome.
Do you know if flytanium scales fits this? Or is it special LW model scales like the para 3?

Aluminum scales for this knife and you have an amazing edc knife that will oast forever. Like a 940 but so much better.

Thanks for the video! I really looking forward to getting mine. Most of my older knifes are black, but after dropping several in the woods and spending hours plus a metal detector to find them, I have switched to bright colors. They are much easier to find or see when I put it down when I'm working.

Nice review bud. I just ordered mine a few minutes ago to go with my standard Manix 2. The Manix is one of my faves out of about 20 great folders. The XL version in Cruwear is a badass as well. Keep up the good work man. Definitely a one and done type of knife.

I have a Delica with FRN, but I think that's how they come typically. I haven't tried a lightweight version yet . I'm sure I will change shortly. I'm with you on the yellow and that modding plan you had sounds like a great idea.
Just put the scales in some boiling blue synthetic rite dye and it will turn the knife green. I’ve done to two salts so far and they came out good.

Manix 2 is very wide in the pocket.
I've been eyeing up the pm2 salt because of the black scales but because of the screws in the manix 2 ill be grabbing one instead
did you know that you can get replacement screws in any color, and in titanium which is also rustproof for both models
plus the pm2 uses standard pm2 scales so you don't have to wait to customize it
I bought a manix 2 lw all black in May of 2022 that came with screw construction. Just saying 👍🏻

@@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg2343 I’m gonna wait for the testers to put it through its paces and some hrc results first. Hopefully they don’t run it soft but cold steel usually does a good job.

eric said h1/h2 serrations are best thing they ever tested as far as edge retention goes.. so i dont think what you said about that steel is accurate.
Yea I will have to refer you to Cedric and adas testing video of h2. He found it to be terrible with edge retention. And the serrations "might' be better but typically when I talk about edge retention it will not include serrated blades, because I have zero experience with them. Also I am referring to fine edge, and not long working edge. I guess I need to be much more detailed in my videos about what I mean. Thanks for watching!
I would think that the ball is not ceramic and coated. But, I’ve been wrong before 😅
Black on black with the g10 would have been perfect because of the sheer volume of scales for it. Me personally I want to try out some black ultem RGT scales, but since it's lw we're limited to AWT scales

It has dropped at a few websites but they sell out extremely fast. But yes, it has dropped. They will sell out quickly for the first couple months. I got lucky.

Had a regular and a lightweight and I really liked the quality but didn't love the knife.
What is the hrc at ?
Not sure but Spyderco is well known for excellence when it comes to heat treatment. (Not perfect but better than most and consistent )So I would say in the optimal range.
Have you noticed any rusting or corrosion in the locking mechanism?
