I've been saying this since CPM Magnacut came out. Probably one of the best knife steels on the market! Absolutely perfect for a survival knife due to its high corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening while holding a great edge. A great time to be alive as a knife lover! I have a Chris Reeves Green Beret made in Magnacut, and it's such a beast!
LC200N is great steel. I almost bought a Native 5 Salt made with it. But just before I ordered, I found the Para 3 Salt in Magnacut. To be fair, had the Para 3 Salt been LC200N, I would have bought it over the Native, as I wanted the compression lock.
I have several Spyderco knives in LC200N and I really like it! I won't be selling those knives. They are truly corrosion resistant, even a bit more than magnacut. The only equivalents is H1/H2 and Vanax Superclean! 🤔
Yep, vanax and lc200n are rust PROOF, MagnaCut is fully stainless. But ocean water over a long time might give MagnaCut a little staining over time. H1/2 is.. barely steel. It's not magnetic, it's work hardened austenitic steel.@@johnruiz6743
Eric bugs me for some reason. Luckily for him it doesn’t make me want to stop paying for their knives. that being said… they need to stop putting out the same knives and just changing steel… come out w some new designs guys.
I feel like spyderco is losing touch with the market. No one wants FOMO exclusives. No one really cares about the salt series. Everyone wants a magnacut shaman, pm2, para3, manix. Throw some g10 on it and call it a day. And how about button locks...? Why does this seems so obvious?
@@johnruiz6743yeah, I have a button lock Civivi and it's not nearly as confidence inspiring as even a simple liner lock. Then again it's not a Spiderco, but still it's not as good a design.
Eric, why don't you explain why I can't get a set of bushings for my Domino? You know the knife with the paper thin cheap bushings that fail and make opening the then $150 knife feel like the bearings are made of sand paper. Your crappy service department wants me to spend $30 in shipping and service fees to replace poorly designed bushings. You would not take responsibility for your crappy design back when I bought it. A company with crappy service is one to be avoided.

Come on, Spyderco! Release that black & yellow PM2 Salt! I’ve been impatiently waiting over 7 months for my pre-order!
Eric's been wearing the same exact watch for literally years lol gotta love em.
You'd think he'd be able to afford an adults watch, rather than a plastic one,,,
Great family. Spyderco needs more knives in MagnaCut and more knives with their ball bearing lock!
Hate the ball bearing lock
That ball bearing lock is the best thing to happen to pocket knives in the last 60 years.
I’m looking forward to Spyderco knives with Magnacut coming back in stock online at House of Knives.
pm2 magnacut ordered and looking forward to it...
Have a few Spyderco knives in MagnaCut and the Native lw serrated has been fantastic 🤙🏻
Yes it is and so is the Para 3 Lightweight in magnacut...
Where does Spyderco heat treat their Magnacut?
Golden, Colorado
What hrc though?
@@shamitoson supposedly around 62 hrc.
Eric. Do the lightweight PM2. I’m waiting damn it lol
What about the stretch xl? That pretty close.
Rex 45 or Magnacut?
Depends on the use case. Rex has much better edge retention, but is chippy. Better for box cutting were toughness doesn’t matter.
@@shamitosonthanks
Spyderco is the best period
My H1 Aqua Salt rusted from daily scrotum carry… get it together Spyderco
Sounds more like a vag carry to me? 🤔🤣
Poor lc200n. Disposable hero

Oh boo hoo, that S30v and S45vn just falls apart 😂
They have made the pm2 in magnacut I'm holding it in my hand now.
Button locks suck and are weak! Spine whack them and many of them flat out fail! 👎

Eric, until you resolve my problem I will be spreading the bad news far and wide.
