I find it incredible to think that we lost Joe 20 years ago this year, I take time out every December to reflect on his music and it ht me quite hard when he died, I don't why, but I was shellshocked.

It's a definite staple in my constant rotation and always gives me a sense of happiness to whenever I hear it. Strummer, along with the remaining three were just the best. Clash had the. Chops to seriously play, style for miles , & really were the most important band in the world, for a good run. I miss strummer. He was a good man, and great musician. I'll never forget the day I learned of his passing away. A sad day indeed

Always loved the Clash Still do. I grew up on the Stones ( I’m 59) I read in an interview Joe said when he heard ‘Not Fade Away’ ( Stones version) he knew he wanted to be in a band. Also as a fan of both the Stones turned me on to Blues and the Clash onto Reggae. Stones were influenced by American blues and the Clash by Brixton Reggae what could be better.

I grew up in two households, my father was British, step-father American. Both big music fans. My father was a songwriter/guitarist. I grew up hearing all sorts of music. I love the Clash. I see/hear a lot of Johnny Cash influence lyrically and in theme). The Clash definitely get underrated as far as their own influence and stamp on music that followed.

I grew up in two households, my father was British, step-father American. Both big music fans. My father was a songwriter/guitarist. I grew up hearing all sorts of music. I love the Clash. I see/hear a lot of Johnny Cash influence lyrically and in theme). The Clash definitely get underrated as far as their own influence and stamp on music that followed.
