@@gushale3306 He is one of my Greatest music heroes, just for speaking the REAL TRUTH of the music industry, not in the same way that other musicians speak about the industry because they are too worried about their own record contracts and the worry that they will be dropped by their record labels if they are exposing the realities of truth of the industry, that mentions their managers, other musicians, and the working relationships of just being a music artist.
John Lydon is not worried about exposing any of these areas of being a musician and in the long run… that is very healthy for established musicians to hear, because it enables them to understand and manoeuvre their music careers in a more educated and healthy way.

When John Lydon was seven years old, he contracted spinal meningitis which put him in hospital for a year, left him in a coma that totally wiped his memory and damaged his vision, leaving him with his trademark stare. When he was well enough to go home, the doctor told his parents that he should not be allowed to relax or become lethargic and that they should constantly annoy him and make him angry all the time. When they questioned the reasoning behind this advice, the doctor replied, "Anger is an energy."

The Pistols were great, PiL less great .. but this song was maybe the best thing Lydon ever recorded. As a record it was more accessible to most people. Ginger Baker played the percussion, Steve Vai did the guitar parts (worth noting 'cos it's such a great sounding record). Terrific production too.

Rude and irreverent they called him, truthful and genuine, I'd say. Just look into his eyes during the lines "I could be right I could be wrong" He was always right, roflmao, he's just humble and clever enough to offer the possibility of an alternate opinion. So make your own minds up...arrogant or moral, anti-establishment or pro democracy? I love him now as much as back then in a Tom MacDonald vibe. I'd much rather they were schooling our kids than any politician you could name alive today, cos they'd learn morals good ethics, open-minded thought and decent values instead of greed, number one first and selfish "I'm all right Jack" doctrine.

Effortlessly brilliant song from one of my all time heroes John Lydon and PIL, hard to believe it's 37 years old!!! You know there's never any bullshit with John, and RIP his wife.

There is NOBODY in the historic performance of music video, that can act Angry in the artistic performance of music video, as much as John Lydon can do.
He makes looking angry in a music video a REAL MASTERCLASS in how to portray angry properly, in the artistic performance of music video.

I always remember hearing this on a school trip and fell in love with it but I was too young to remember who even sang it, I recently found out and heard it for the first time in decades, it's exactly how I remembered it, and brings back so much memories, great tune 👍
