Hello i have a question. I took 3g of phenibut because i didn't felt anything from less. My question is how long does the substance stay in my body? Its been 13 hours since i took it. Is it out yet? Because i would like to take dextromethorphan and i am worried to get a serotonin syndrome? Is it out? Please answer. 🙂👍♥️
Magtein was so powerful at strengthening my memory that it gave me lucid dreams and made sleep a bit agitated, I took a lower dose and it was ideal. I wish it wasn't that expensive though.
During menopause I had twitching legs when trying to sleep. My sleep was very disrupted due to sweats. I tried magnesium malate and that first night I slept like a baby., better than I can remember. Within two nights my twitching legs stopped. I was lucky to straight away find the one that worked for me. I now use the threonine some days too.
Thanks Mr. Tomen, I have a question not related with this video but with a specific racetam. I couldn't find any information about the possible use of levetiracetam (Keppra) as a nootropic. What are your thoughts about this? I understand it's a prescription drug but it's still a racetam, so I wonder if it has nootropic effects. Thanks for all your work and the valuable information you provide freely. Kind regards
Is it possible to have adequate levels of folate and b12 and still be low in SAM-e? Also, will you make any videos about liposomal technology? Thankyou sir
It is possible but this varies from person to person. And BTW, if you have adequate levels of folate and B12 and not Vitamin B6 you will have excess homocysteine. Which can cause heart problems.
If you are talking about melatonin then no, I do not use it nor do I recommend melatonin. I recommend using L-Tryptophan instead because it helps make serotonin which goes not to naturally produce melatonin in your brain.
Use Magnesium Glycinate but reduce your dose or take it earlier in the day. That form usually helps with sleep. But it sounds like it is the opposite with you.
You can use either form of magnesium. But what supplements your body and brain need depends on your age. If you are over 50 then see this video: ruclips.net/video/s2OBsI4qtxo/видео.html
Been taking magnesium now faithfully for one full year. I’ve heard and read about just how important it is for cognitive health. At 65 years of age , cognitive function is extremely important to me. But I can say I have not noticed any benefits or improvement of cognitive function. Doctor’s Best : magnesium glycinate - 2 tablets every morning magnesium l-theronate - 2 tablets at bedtime 2 tablets equivalent to 200 mg of elemental magnesium. Both types are chelated . I’ll continue to take it as the literature says it’s vital for good health. I’m not looking to have the cognitive ability of my younger years, but I am disappointed. On a positive note, it does help with sleep. I’ll continue taking it for that reason , if not for anything else.
Nellis, there is no "one pill" solution. Please see my video or read my article on Best Nootropics for the Aging Brain. You need 1 - 2 supplements from each category and you'll notice a difference within 2 - 3 weeks of consistent use. Here is that video: ruclips.net/video/s2OBsI4qtxo/видео.html
We've been using Colloidal Magnesium and Magnesium L- Threonate to be sure. I'm thinking the Nano sized Colloidal Mag should pass the blood brain barrier? Also Using Colloidal Zinc in the stack, Iodine, Taurine, Choline, Lion's Mane, a few others, especially trying to help my wife. I never hear of anyone else who knows anything about these minerals in the Colloidal form. I'm hoping it's ok.
Wondering what you think of the latest Berg video about Melatonin. Seems that high doses help prevent Alzheimers. but even the smallest amount makes me foggy the next day.
I do not recommend using melatonin as a supplement period. No matter what Berg says. Your brain uses 0.5 - 0,8 mg melatonin during the night. I do not know of the supplement with that small of a dosage. And I would not trust the label anyway. The easiest safest way to increase melatonin is to first increase serotonin by using L-Tryptophan. Serotonin goes on the naturally make melatonin in your brain.
Triquetra "Ionic Magnesium" Liquid it is the only magnesium supplement that puts a stop to my leg cramping I have tried several different brands of tablets none of them worked.
Magnesium Malate is another form of magnesium chelate that works and will get into your brain. All minerals need to be in their "chelated" form for your system to recognize it as "food".

Phenibut has a half-life of 5.3 hours. So should be completely cleared from your system within 12 - 24 hours.

Curious as to what Mag. in various foods is bound to. Thanks
Thank you for your great video - always so informative and helpful!
Glad it was helpful!

Lynn, thanks for your report. This stuff works!
i use magnesium glycinate and experience increase in focus , should i move to magnesium threonate ?
Not necessary to change if you found a form that works for you.
Can magnesium be ok with people with hearth problems ?
As long as stay within the recommended dosage.
I am glad I just found you - Thank You!
Welcome!
Which type of magnesium?
Any chelated form will work.
Thank you
Thanks
Welcome
You mean the studies do not test for magnesium to start with? What tests do we need to ascertain deficiency?
A blood test can be ordered to check your magnesium level. Normal range is 1.3 to 2.1 mEq/L (0.65 to 1.05 mmol/L).
what is best for 60 to 70 yo to focus better.

I could not find any human clinical studies for Keppra so dropped my research into it.
I didn’t hear you mention magnesium malate… any thoughts on it?
Magnesium malate is a chelated form and will get into your brain.
Is malate a good form?
Yes

Got a hair test done and found out I have very high magnesium and calcium…I was told my body isn’t absorbing the two minerals. Not sure how to fix it.
Try adding 5,000 IU Vitamin D3 because if you are not supplementing with Vitamin D you are likely deficient.
@@NootropicsExpert thank you! I will try that.
Hair test is bad
How mutch Phosphatidylcholin is in Eggs? And is there?
Approx. 100 - 150 mg per egg but it depends on the egg and what the hen was fed.
How did they test adhd/children magesium levels in study? Thought blood mag is not reliable? Did they use as baseline?
Cynthia, the used atomic absorption spectroscopy and here is the study I was referencing: europepmc.org/article/MED/9368235
Have you heard of sucrosomial magnesium or clarimax, is it a good choice.
I'm not familiar with either. Maybe some else reading this thread has more information on those forms.
Hey David. Do you take melanotan 2?
If you are talking about melatonin then no, I do not use it nor do I recommend melatonin. I recommend using L-Tryptophan instead because it helps make serotonin which goes not to naturally produce melatonin in your brain.
Thank You so much! Can I take MB in am and at noon then take the Performance Lab Sleep at 10pm? ( L-tryptophan interaction concerns)
It should not be a problem with that dose of L-Tryptophan. "Should" is the keyword because it depends on how sensitive your are to these supplements.
Thank you for the video!
What would you recommend for me, top 3 must have nootropics for enhance memory and learning new. I'm student at college.

Magnesium glycinate gives me insomnia and magnesium citrate gives me diarrhea. What shall I do?
Use Magnesium Glycinate but reduce your dose or take it earlier in the day. That form usually helps with sleep. But it sounds like it is the opposite with you.
David, did you ever talked about MSM or Shilajit? Or are they no Nootropics?
Both are considered "nootropics" but I have not gotten to them yet. They are on my "to do" list.
Magnesium L-Threonate?
Not Magnesium bysglicinate?
Ya´ll..how many more supps do i need to try to notice they´re not making me healthy???

Why does magnesium glycinate cause muscle maintenance for me? It's like cramps.. I don't have these problems when I don't take it.
Sounds like you are using too much magnesium. Cut back on your dose.
Wow.
Triquetra "Ionic Magnesium" Liquid it is the only magnesium supplement that puts a stop to my leg cramping I have tried several different brands of tablets none of them worked.
Magnesium
Did you forget Magnesium Malate? "Magnesium malate is believed to be better absorbed than other forms of magnesium supplements."
