I admit only you and one Egyptian who gave complete tutorial about Client mode. All other videos speak about Client mood don't mentioned to add Virtual interface as Access Point mode. EXCELLENT👏

So I had to change the existing settings to a new method to use it as the extender. Your method is working well so far. I appreciate it.

The moment I got to the end where you tell us to reboot router. the router is no longer accessible. when I pull up ipconfig /all it shows the new ip address but it just doesn't connect. I had this setup working years ago but cant seem to get it working again.
With client mode, the link speed is really unpredictable!! It's more like a solution to bring Internet to dead spots with no regards to speed... :D, you'll need a better hardware solution for that..

I had same issue and had to use an earlier dd-wrt version to get the other options..

This method has never failed me or had any issues, I'm still using it to this day..

I have the same issue - 192.168.2.1 after reboot unreachable
My only question is if can connect the client router to a wifi that has a captive portal. Hope you can reply!
Well, You'll have to try, and also let us know the results :D, but I don't think, the dd-wrt will redirect you to the portal's page...
