you dont gotta explain yourself man, as long as you like your car it doesn't matter what people say if you dont got a V8 who cares they don't pay for your car
Josh Harrison I have a v8 dodge and my son a v8 challenger and I don’t see nothing wrong in getting a v6 I even told him to get a v6 but he didn’t want to but I love them
Nothing wrong with V6, everyone has their needs and budget. 305 was big horsepower just a few years ago so it is plenty. If you want and drive a V8 good for you... but to rag on someone for having a V6 probably means you got a V8 to compensate for your other shortcomings.
One of my coworkers makes 80k a year and he has a v6. He got it because it fits his needs. He drives 100 miles a day. Just get a car that fits YOUR needs and drive it. Not everyone needs a hemi living in a city full of traffic tho I will say they are fun.
freedomwtruth Honda's definitely aren't known for their speed, but those are the last motors that are going to be filling up with sludge. Whether you like them or not they are likely the most reliable cars they sell.
Devin Goodson would be smarter to get a 4 door 4 banger if he drives that much, a weak little engine won’t have to haul over two tons of mopar crap, so clearly he bought it because of the “charger and mopar” factory or else he would’ve been soar and bought an accord or something much, much more economic, and the rts when cruising shut off 4 of the cylinders so they actually are more eco friendly on drive where you’d need to drive 100 miles a day so your coworker is a moron and a trans LMAO
Rachael Russell but how are the back seats Rachael are they comfortable and spacious enough for extra curricular activities? Asking for research purposes :p
hell i got a v6 2017 charger. could have got a v8 but i already got a suv with a hemi. 90% of the people on here saying something about a v8 dont own a v8 themselves
Even if it’s a V6 man it’s still a BEAST of a car and I absolutely LOVE that 8 speed transmission with 21-23 in the city and 30 hwy. Don’t pay attention to the haters, most of us still pushing an Acura to school like the drake song lol 😂
I have 2019 challenger GT . I installed Borla Atak exhaust and sounds amazing. Still got the compliments all the time and break peoples neck. And yes I have a V6 .
I think you did great buying the v6, its a great car and 305hp isn't chump change you are only 1 second behind the R/T's 0-60. For being so young you should be proud of owning that car!! its a beautiful car and I'm sure you get a lot of stares when you drive down the street and people see how young you are. I'm 20 and I just recently got my 17 challenger R/T base however my parents helped me out with the downpayment. And you did it all by yourself!!! I do get compliments every now and then from my friends and other people and this car sure Does turn heads left and right. Most people our age drive hand me downs or Honda civics and here we are driving 2017 cars!!!
agreed, I traded a 2015 mazda 3 I grand touring which I was the owner of since new for a challenger which had 10k miles more but lets be honest challenger is also worth a lot more and a better car. I had 15k miles on my mazda. Looked like new, just wanted something more age appropriate and it dropped from the $27k I paid new to 13k trade value in 3 years so it was bleeding like 3k a year. THe challenger holds value so well a 2015 with 100k miles sells for 14k all day long. It was just a better deal and a better car.
The Finder 305hp is chump change now a days, Nissan was getting that out of their v6 NA 3.5L engines 10+ years ago and dodge is just now putting that out lol that shows you how little they care about the v6 models and how nonperformance they are, 305hp is especially chummy when it has to haul 4300 pounds on a car as aero dynamic as a giant brick, the rts are pathetic too, my Genesis would gap the fuck out of them STOCK lmao
PilsPlease you could’ve bought so many better cars with $27k lmao, holy fuck you people are morons, the only mopars worth even thinking about are the scat packs and the hellcats LMAO nothing else
I have no problems with a v6, but a challenger is not just a challenger, by any means. Ive riden in a sxt plus, and ive riden in a hellcat, the v6 is like a Chihuahua, seem calm, but jesus, it will bite the shit out of you if youre not careful. Hellcat is like a giant ass pitbull, they can be tamed, but theyll kill youre ass if theyre not careful. No reason to compare a sxt to a hellcat. Basically totally different cars.
i have a 16 v6 challenger too. i simply cant afford a v8 yet but once i cant i will upgrade to a scat pack i got the v6 still because i love the car itself and its look.
Well considering you'll be overshadowed by all the other v6 mustangs and camaros i wouldnt be going around tryna race and stuff youll still be faster than the average car tho dont get me wrong its not a slouch. my favorite part about this car tho is that i can take my whole fam out and theyll fit with the back seats 3 people can fit in the back no problem ! its honestly a really good car comfy af and most bitches dont care about what cylinder size you got xD you tryna get one or what ?
Prozac † you have a point , yeah I wouldn't want to race a mustang / Cameron v6 , but true it's quicker then done older generation cars , but also it still doesn't compete with German v6 like an e class , or a q50 , shit like those , but yeah bitches dig the Chargers , and I was thinking about you , gotta know how much insurance will be , gotta test drive in the highway , wanna see if the v6 power is cool with me ...
I know how you feel I just got a 2017 Challenger SXT and alot of guys were like, You should have got a V8 and I was like why? What the hell am I going to do with all that HP? Drive faster in a straight line lol. I love my new car that's that lol. Enjoy and great vid.
I'm seriously considering buying a Challenger GT since living in Michigan I'd like a vehicle with AWD. Can't decide between Octane red and F8 green. I'm no street racer so the v6 with 305 hp is more than enough power. Haven't test driven one yet, but I heard the driver position is very comfortable in the challengers.
V6 are better than V8 if you live in the city with a lot of traffic. like LA. why waste 40% more of gas more to hear the engine roar better to waste $50-60 a week on gas than $90-110 I'm 20 I bought the 2017 V6 sxt plus for 23k at Huntington Beach, CA I gave 4k down and pay 340 a month 3.8 APR
Eddie Daugherty Just. Cause you have a challenger doesn’t mean you need to race wtf that’s kid stuff a challenger is just a dope car so your getting the look without the price who wants to walk around racing people😭
People kill me with the whole "Why didn't you buy a V8?" - Will you be there when the payments are due? Will you be there when it's time for maintenance? I know I'm late, but great video!
No kidding! Especially cause most of these guys are driving mini vans... He's 18 in this video or something like that and driving a Challenger. Most 18yr olds are driving old ass hand me downs or a Prius their Daddy bought em 🤦🏼♂️
Im not really sure why you care what people say about your v6 and u not having a v8 at the end of the day you worked your ass off to save money and buy your first car on your own. You should be very proud of that
I have a '15 Charger SXT Rallye AWD. Yeah, I wanted a Hemi, but I wanted AWD and the new body style more, so I bought a V-6. Not regretting it one bit. The Rallye has good power (300hp) and gets great gas mileage (around 29mpg hwy). The AWD is great in the snow here in Michigan. I ended up paying around $29,000 new after rebates and discounts. The Challenger is next on my list after my kids go off to college...Cool car you have there!
Just bought a 2017 challenger r/t with the 5.7. Nothing wrong with getting a v6 though. However get ready for the constant "does it have the hemi in it" questions.
I just bought a Dodge Challenger V6 all black two days ago and I’m telling you this I love it and a couple of years I’m going to Upgrade to a RT scat pack White body shaker and that one will be also all black that’s all I drive all black everything you can’t see me but be damn sure I can see you😎😎😎 so I am a prime example of if you want to go get it and don’t let nobody else tell you not to get it if you really want it Because 4 1/2 years ago this was my dream car and I stayed focus and made sacrifices blood sweat and tears and I didn’t settle it drives amazing and is better on gas than any other challenger🙏🙏🙏God is good
Nice looking Ride man..I have a 13' Challenger which is also a V6. I initially bought it for the look and the color. It's also my daily driver. I hardly ever get the "does it have the hemi?" Question, Most ppl just say nice car and keep it moving. I think I'd buy another V6 just to piss V8 lovers off though lol
Mopar 4 Life you stupid the new maximas and even slightly older ones will have no problem beating a v6 Charger ,, I love Chargers but it's not that quick , even the new impala v6 are quick it's facts it has nothing to do with FWD , it has slightly more power and lighter that's it .. but Charger Fashoo pull bitches ..
That car you got its best option for your situation, specially if it is your daily, affording a v8 is not everything you also have to afford the gas. Maintance and insurance, etc. also you can pay that off and if you want in the future you can get bigger engine car or even the next gen challenger/charger and you can use the v6 as your daily and the other one for fun 😉you still young man just be careful dont rush so you don't get upside down in case you trade and really search your options 😊 great video man👍
Sounds good! Nice car! Dodge Challenger! Rides great, comfortable seats, looks great, good gas mileage (30 mpg Hwy), good power (305 HP), and a lot of fun to drive! Nothing to apologize about! Enjoy!
I hear ya, you gotta stick with a budget. But still, at your age buying a brand new car is pretty nuts. I was 28 before I bought a car new... because then I could afford it and had decent credit. I'm seeing lots of RTs selling for 20k these days. You obviously like the V8s so keep your mileage low, and keep your payments higher than the minimum required and may be a trade in will be an option. If you're being quoted a 24% interest rate, dude.. you've got to either clean up your credit big time or just get older. In any case, buying the car you really want generally takes time. No worries, just accept it. I'm seeing lots of young cats buying brand new cars paying crazy interest and its so silly. You sound like a smart young man and a decent dude. You got your whole life to buy cars and get what you want. Best of luck to you.
Exactly. I(a 27 yr old dude with NO kids) work with a young man(21) who has a 2 yr old daughter(with baby momma problems) and as soon as we got hired on permanently, he buys a 2016 Charger. 😰 Granted it's a based model V6, but he talking about trading it in for a 2018 R/T V8. And I'm over here listening to him complain about his payments is $538 a month for 5 years and his insurance is $185 a month. 😔 While I was driving a 96 Honda Accord that was passed down to me. Luckily I saved enough to buy a "savage" 2014 Challenger.
Nice looking car. I like the fact that you got the upgraded package with the 20 inch wheels, fog lights and rear spoiler. The V6 Challengers with the 17 inch wheels, no rear spoiler and fog lights just look so plain. Heck, they almost don't look like Challengers.
I bought My first car in 1999, it was a used 1983 z28, i worked my ass off and spent every dime I made on it. I had it repainted red and since the original red paint was fading, then I bought a used set of ROH Snyper rims( I loved those rims!!!) I installed a 350 engine and a th350 tranny with a shift kit, holly carb, intake, cam, headers, and a 3” exhaust with no caliconverter and a flowmaster muffler and 2 magnaflo chrome exhaust tips. Man it looked amazing and I felt like a king when I pulled into school with it the first time lol. One of my favourite memories I have in high school next to loosing my virginity lol. It’s funny how times seems to go so slow when your younger and speeds up the older you get lol.
Recently bought a '19 Sublime SXT + AWD and no regrets. Perfect daily driver for me with northeast weather. Sure a V8 would have been lots of fun but knowing there's a supercharger for the V6 is something to look forward to at some point. It's still one of the best looking sports car on the road so you should only get what you can comfortably afford and as long as you're happy with it who cares what anyone else thinks.
You did good man, specially for a first car hell I wish I had a current year model car as my first when I was young. Love and enjoy that car, don't have no thoughts of what if an I should of, bad ass car. Hell 1 second slower then the RT isn't crap or something around that. Welcome to the mopar fam
I earn over 100k and drive a 2017 v6 AWD 300. Before this I drove a Toyota. Buy what fits your needs and your budget. Don't listen to people giving you crap about the engine. Had to upgrade the family car this month, walked on the lot looking at Durango RTs and ended up with a 17 Pacifica.
I earn a pretty big amount of cash yearly but I’m not going to say because that’s kinda offsetting but I own a V6 mustang eco boost premium. Nothing wrong with having a cheap car because at the end of the day my pockets are fatter rather than if I owned a 2018 BMW 750i.
Only problem with the v6 is that it doesn't hold its value as well due to rarity especially for the scat pack, srt8 392 versions. And even more if you get options like the granite gray, with the optional factory sunroof increases the end value. I was sold when seeing the scat pack with factory sunroof. holding values above 30k for a 3-5 year old car. The v6 is below 22k.
I have a v6 2016 challenger, not gonna lie I hated it for a while. it eventually grew on me, and I love it now. I'm eventually going to add some of the features that weren't installed at factory, like cooled seats and the 8.4in nav
We got the same taste in vehicles mate. In fact I initially had - Ram 1500 then I traded it in and bought the 2017 Jeep Cherokee didn't like it so much then.. the next day came back for the 2017 Dodge Challenger V6. And that's my vehicle now love it mate. I don't regret it.
I owned a v6 Challenger for 7 months. Wife hated it. I got her a 2018 R/T Durango. She didn't want to let me drive so I upgraded to and 2018 R/T charger. Not a huge difference, but I feel like it was worth it. More fun to drive
No need to apologize for buying what you know you can afford. It's still an awesome car. I have a 2018 SXT Plus and love it. I'm a Baby Boomer and bought this particular car because I loved the era I grew up in and the Challenger still has that 70's look. I couldn't afford the Hemi either. Sure I'd like to upgrade someday if the opportunity presents itself, but for now I have a gorgeous car and have NO problem with available "muscle". No one shames me for having a V6..on the contrary I get so many stares and compliments on my car. I have the granite color with crystal granite rims and it's a looker! Every time I walk up to my car in a parking lot (which of course I park at the waaaaay faaaaaar end) I can't believe I get to own and drive this car!
honestly I had been torn between a 2017 challenger sxt and a 2017 mustang with the 3.7 liter v6 but then ford discontinued that engine so I got the challenger as I know the engine will be around for a long time. 30k miles on it but I didn't get that bad of a deal on the car. 1 owner which was a CEO at a company who used it as a vehicle when he flew in to go visit locations and stuff. Probably the nicest used car I have ever seen, couldn't tell it was used except for the miles
I bought a 2019 Challenger R/T. I first did a test drive on a GT which is V6, I thought it was fine. But then I drove the R/T and it felt like night and day. I can just imagine what a Hellcat feels like.
Listen brother. I have your answer. You didn't choose your car, cars like this choose you! My car bullet chose me and she's everything to me. When a car like my 2017 dodge challenger makes me so happy everytime I see her or drive her, that's something special. That feeling was alot more visible back in the 50s, 60, 70s. Cars of today are great for comfort, but have less sexy and character. These dodge challenger cars have everything and are the real deal bottom line.
I got a v8 challenger RT with 6MT, I like the rumble and manual, so that is why I got it. However, V6 is great and auto is even better. enjoy the ride :)
Nothing wrong with the V6. I daily a V6 monte carlo and it holds its own pretty decently with just 242hp so 305hp isn't bad at all. I have a 15 5.7L challenger and had a 14 5.7L ram. Definitely fun and fuel efficient. My R/T gets about 29mpg highway going 65mph. The ram was awesome and was an express blackout edition but it had the the old 6spd auto which was mostly the reason I got rid of it. So I traded it in for the 15 R/T and I bought an 04 ram for winter. Already rusty so its perfect. I have 2 other vehicles on top of those 2 so I'm actually in them more often then the challenger and ram. Both of the other 2 are V6s(06 monte carlo and 08 uplander cargo van). They both move just fine and both are way better than the 04 ram, which has a 4.7L V8.
There's nothing wrong to buy a V6 if you just can't afford a V8 right now. I had a 2015 SXT PLUS, I bought it right after Dodge released the new generation Challenger in 2015. The car was loaded with all the features, it was a great car for daily driving, I got very good gas mileage on that SXT PLUS. I traded it for a 2017 Challenger T/A(Manual) two weeks ago, cuz a V8 is what I always wanted. I'm not about to race anyone or anything, I just like how the V8 sounds, the deep rumble. The gas mileage that I got on the T/A though.... It's just a different story, LOL.... I got 14-15 MPG in the city drive to work and come home every day. I have put 600 miles on the T/A already since I got it. The SRT Exhaust that Dogde put on the 5.7 T/As just sounds great! I'm not gonna do anything to my car since Dodge really gave T/A package a lot good stuff already. I'm gonna try 0-60 when I get the chance though.
I hear you. My dad brought a gmc surburban in 96 he had it for 22 years and 7 months ago he had to sell it was really sad that he sold it i will never forget i spend so many memories on that surburban but i know i have a dodge charger 10 i had it for 2 years and i love it my next car will be a challenger.
how many miles did he put on it, I'm thinking ill have 300k on my challenger by the time I get a new car in 5 years or so. I'm intending to keep it all the way through college.
not bad :) what challenger are you thinking about getting since I see that you plan to get one for your next car. I like mine, I got a 17 for the sake of newness and the warranty. I also really like white challengers.
yeah good choice :) I don't like hemis where I live just due to the fact that I have seen gas 2x hit $5.40 in my life. So it is possible that hemis would literally be too expensive to fuel up. I prefer v6 cars for that fact, but I do like v8 cars. we have 3 v8 vehicles. so its not like by buying a v6 I'm missing out.
I love the sxt challenger...rented a 2019 and it had paddle shifters...my Jeep Grand Cherokee has them and I must say they are very fun. I am going to buy a 2019 SXT Plus and RIPP Supercharge it to 425hp to the wheel. :)
I just purchased a brand new 2019 granite color challenger with both the plus and blacktop packages, I’ll have it for a year or so then trade in and go scat pack with all the same extras, love the vented seats and such, but yeah I agree the v6 is a great car and as long as you’re happy then fuck everyone else, they don’t pay your bills and run your life
I started with an SXT, traded up for a Scat Pack. If you even have the slightest thought about wanting a V8, buy it first, upgrading to the Scat Pack cost me $$$. But for me, I have a lot more fun with the 6.4 hemi than the Pentastar V6. But those Pentastars are good motors, can be supercharged or turbo-d if you have the cash, and surprise people on the street.
Have a v8 as a daily and I respect any challenger on the street. We all look better than any other vehicle out there ... besides super cars. Beautiful challenger bro.
I had my 2009 Dodge Challenger SE for almost year now and it's honestly the best $10,000 I have ever purchased. Everyone wanted me to get the R/T or the SRT for $25,000 to $30,000 when I can buy a brand new SXT for that same price. I am a 21 year old college student that works in a hotel restaurant so affordably was a big concern when buying cars. For anyone wanting to buy their first Challenger or muscle car, buy a v6 first before jumping to a v8 unless if you have experience in driving sports cars.
my f20b 99 Civic sedan smoked a v6 Challenger on I 75 coming home from Clearwater to Orlando and by the time I hit a hundred fifty miles an hour I look back he was about 6 7 cars behind. he thought he was going to catch me slipping little did he know I had a surprise under the hood send a mild tune and intake, two and a half inch exhaust
I have a 5.7. If Mopar would (and they can) squeeze 30+ more ponies and a 6m it would kill the 5.7 sales. Chevy did it. Imagine an awd 340 hp v-6 with a 6 speed manual. I’d buy that in a heartbeat.
I understand, we all want something but can’t get it. My friend just got a v6 challenger, he drives 60miles a day for work so the fuel economy is something he was looking for, plus he likes the muscle car look a lot.
You don't have to explain yourself buddy I have a 2017 Challenger SXT as well and I was in the same position as you I really wanted a V8 Hellcat Challenger and I actually came really close to getting one but because of that MSRP I couldn't. You will upgrade someday don't worry about it as I know I will too, you can still upgrade a V6 to make it the best V6 ever in my V6 actually grew on me and the V6 I have now which is the same one you have has more horsepower than my old 2009 RT Hemi Challenger.
How you liking the gas for this car?? I know I'm pretty much answering my own question because I got to drive a SXT when my girl and I went to San Francisco. We drove all around SF for two days, and we only used a quarter tank. I was really impressed with the gas for being a bigger car. So how is it for a daily driver?? My future job I may have to commute about and hour or so, so I don't think I would want to drive a v8 as a daily
Paolo Fonseca I think it's a great daily driver, very comfortable and fun to drive. As for MPG I drive fast and I get 17-19 city and with the little highway I've done I got 25-28 highway MPG.
bro you couldve easylie bought yourself a hemi if u wanted. your v6 has 2k miles in this video, so its basically new - you couldve bought a used hemi. but nvm its your money and your decision :)
I just bought my 2018 rt (used of course). Who cares if you got a v6 or v8 it’s still a Challenger and looks great. I love your car man! It looks awesome! Mines the same octane red but I love your rims and blacked out grill. I’m also from Arizona! Come out to chandler
Really late here but no need to explain yourself. I've had people make fun of me for owning an 02 WRX and now my 07 Mini Cooper S. You drive what you like and at the end of the day you're the one who paid for it. Gonna pick up an SXT tomorrow. Could have got the V8 but the V6 suits my needs, has lower insurance and payments and it ain't a Mini or BMW. If anything that's the car to hate haha.
I own a Mustang V-6 3.7L 305 HP a Dodge Journey 3.6L and a brand new Grand Cherokee with 3.6L with an 8 speed automatic. People who mouth off about V-6's probably have never driven a modern V-6s within the 300 HP range. I had a 1976 Firebird with a stock 400 Cubic inch V-8 with a 3 Speed that put out around only about 200HP with a 4 barrel and a Turbohydramatic which was no where near as fast as any of my current V-6's and got about 5-10mpg less in fuel economy. The original Shelby 350 mustang was 306HP and the zero to sixty time on the original stock Shelby was slower than my stock 2013 V-6 mustang @ 0-60 in 6 seconds. A lot of people have faulty or selective memories of how fast stock muscle cars of the 1960's/70's really were, most of them could not break a 14 second quarter mile and got terrible gas millage. PS a stock Road Runner 383 was about 335 HP if I recall.
When one is young , one thinks economic after a few years one starts to knock themselves of why didn’t I get the V8 . Then one starts to think of getting a V8 , but why when one has a perfect v6 and no car payment. But still want the V8.
I just subscribed and a lot of these new V6 cars are faster than most older V8's... We can argue this back and forth because I know people in the comments may like to. But, I'm looking at Challengers and Chargers too. I have to decide if I want a Challenger or a V6 Charger with the Super Trac Pack... Because that's my budget! Anyone who wants you or me to have a V8, I'm sure you will take their donations and will too!
I got a 2021 v6 awd dodge charger, Love it but the big talk is the tork that im missing out on lol. v8 are terrible on gas and currently well im all good on that haha .
The very first muscle cars came out with straight 6 motors. It’s your money and your car get what I️ need. I️ have a 5.4 f-350 and I️ love that truck. It fits my needs.
I really really want to pick up and SXT Plus or GT one day, maybe in the future I can get an orange T/A, like the classic ones. The Hemi orange '70 T/A is gorgeous, hopefully I can get a modern one of the same color if I get enough.
I had a 2016 v6 for 3 years I upgraded to a v8 2 months ago I loved my v6 it’s absolutely nothing wrong with it I love my v8 also but people still tell me how they miss my v6 I do too
you dont gotta explain yourself man, as long as you like your car it doesn't matter what people say if you dont got a V8 who cares they don't pay for your car
Josh Harrison yup
Josh Harrison I have a v8 dodge and my son a v8 challenger and I don’t see nothing wrong in getting a v6 I even told him to get a v6 but he didn’t want to but I love them
Horacio Salinas what year and price is ur sons car if you don’t mind
Lmfaoo gay get a honda if you don't care lol not a muscle car
Eddie Daugherty why would you get a “gay” honda
Nothing wrong with V6, everyone has their needs and budget. 305 was big horsepower just a few years ago so it is plenty. If you want and drive a V8 good for you... but to rag on someone for having a V6 probably means you got a V8 to compensate for your other shortcomings.
Cardz & Sharps 🤭
Lol the comments from you two lol are like the women that explain to there kid why 2nd place isn't that bad lmfaoo
One of my coworkers makes 80k a year and he has a v6. He got it because it fits his needs. He drives 100 miles a day. Just get a car that fits YOUR needs and drive it. Not everyone needs a hemi living in a city full of traffic tho I will say they are fun.
Did you know they sell other cars?
Ricardo Cornejo Honda is just Plain Boring . My granny drives a honda. Maybe she can sell it to you when the motor fills up with sludge
freedomwtruth Honda's definitely aren't known for their speed, but those are the last motors that are going to be filling up with sludge. Whether you like them or not they are likely the most reliable cars they sell.
Devin Goodson ecoboost mustang is my daily
Devin Goodson would be smarter to get a 4 door 4 banger if he drives that much, a weak little engine won’t have to haul over two tons of mopar crap, so clearly he bought it because of the “charger and mopar” factory or else he would’ve been soar and bought an accord or something much, much more economic, and the rts when cruising shut off 4 of the cylinders so they actually are more eco friendly on drive where you’d need to drive 100 miles a day so your coworker is a moron and a trans LMAO
You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone my boy . A lot of people wish to be in ya position .
Samantha anderson YEP👍
Nah my v8 sounds like a challenger
I love my V6 challenger. I have no need for a V8, especially for a daily driver when I work downtown in the city.
Same here I drive 40 miles a day.
Quit lying to yourself.
PRO DOS wat u drive tho??
Rachael Russell but how are the back seats Rachael are they comfortable and spacious enough for extra curricular activities? Asking for research purposes :p
Shut up meg...
hell i got a v6 2017 charger. could have got a v8 but i already got a suv with a hemi. 90% of the people on here saying something about a v8 dont own a v8 themselves
tyrone c. How quick HONESTLY is the v6 Charger to you ? In terms of acceleration all that
Pretty quick. I got a supercharger installed.
tyrone c. How was it stock wise
Miko it was good. Trust me it moves with the v6
Marciel Industries ironically nope videos though huh
Even if it’s a V6 man it’s still a BEAST of a car and I absolutely LOVE that 8 speed transmission with 21-23 in the city and 30 hwy. Don’t pay attention to the haters, most of us still pushing an Acura to school like the drake song lol 😂
No matter what you have, there will always be a hater. It's about your happiness!👍
I have 2019 challenger GT . I installed Borla Atak exhaust and sounds amazing. Still got the compliments all the time and break peoples neck. And yes I have a V6 .
Theres no Problem with a v6 With a couple mods that thing can smoke a v8
How much did fte yours at?
Hell yea I got a 2017 sxt in bright white and Im only 20 !
Your parents are going to regret helping you buy that 375hp Hemi, especially if you're still on their insurance!! LOL
Let’s be honest even if we drive a sxt or a hellcat at least we’re not driving Honda civics
Nothing wrong with v6
nope nothing
he just mad that these supercharged 6’s are lighter AND faster 😂😂🏁
Goldblooded fan, faster than what? V6 muscle cars are fucking gay.
Seaside Strangler I will destroy you in a supercharged V6, unless you roll up in an italian supercar. Your heavy ass 8 will get its doors blown off.
Seaside Strangler and you still gonna get smoked like the heavy easy to break v8 that rick sold you for well above MSRP.
I'm just here for the comments. Lol, a Challenger is a Challenger.
True dat
Yea. It’s a piece of shit
add a public reply...
Andrey Paliy It’s better than what you drive lmao.
Prozac † are you really happy with the performance ? Or just it's alright to you
Well considering you'll be overshadowed by all the other v6 mustangs and camaros i wouldnt be going around tryna race and stuff youll still be faster than the average car tho dont get me wrong its not a slouch. my favorite part about this car tho is that i can take my whole fam out and theyll fit with the back seats 3 people can fit in the back no problem ! its honestly a really good car comfy af and most bitches dont care about what cylinder size you got xD you tryna get one or what ?
Prozac † you have a point , yeah I wouldn't want to race a mustang / Cameron v6 , but true it's quicker then done older generation cars , but also it still doesn't compete with German v6 like an e class , or a q50 , shit like those , but yeah bitches dig the Chargers , and I was thinking about you , gotta know how much insurance will be , gotta test drive in the highway , wanna see if the v6 power is cool with me ...
you do know that the chassis for the challenger is german built right? haha.
:)
Miko are u fucking dumb, he said he cant afford the v8 so he bought the v6 and hes happy with it, mind ur fucking business tf
dude your car is awesome. don't listen to the keyboard haters.
Nobody here hates keyboards, just v6 challengers.
Seaside Strangler Nobody cares 😂😂.
x Frieza x lol right tho 👍
@@underground5682 this guy has a v6 challenger
V6 are better than V8 if you live in the city with a lot of traffic. like LA. why waste 40% more of gas more to hear the engine roar better to waste $50-60 a week on gas than $90-110
I'm 20 I bought the 2017 V6 sxt plus for 23k at Huntington Beach, CA
I gave 4k down and pay 340 a month 3.8 APR
David Hernandez also with the v8 you can sell it for twice what the same year v6 will go for in 5years
@@International_Dmilla yeah but you paid more for the V8 to begin with.... You'll have definitely paid more for the V8 + Gas over a 5yr period too
Jake Webb totally worth it 🤤
Jake Webb yeah true I will but my car will hold value. Yours is probably already worth less than you owe 🤔
@@International_Dmilla this is definitely true^ assuming you are planning on not keeping it for an extended amount of time
V6 version are underrated. Its still a great car. Everyone who owns a v6 challenger never once said they regret getting one
Because they didnt want to regret it lmfaoo once a v8 pulls up to you and you race for shits and giggles the lil person inside say should got a v8lol
Eddie Daugherty Just. Cause you have a challenger doesn’t mean you need to race wtf that’s kid stuff a challenger is just a dope car so your getting the look without the price who wants to walk around racing people😭
@@camerondior1756 lol if you say so lol man that's nice does it have a hemi no bgg it's a v6 I'm not a racer lmfaoo
@@SuddyDoesStuff no ones sporting mini Van's wtf
Never let anyone bring you down, get what you can afford and what makes you happy
Answer to title question at 7:00
Im not really sure why you care what people say about your v6 and u not having a v8 at the end of the day you worked your ass off to save money and buy your first car on your own.
From MI too!
For a V6 and its weight, this car shows power. It will push you back on your seat. All my cars were all V6 and never felt it like this.
plus the brakes and the chassis are german built, which makes them better.
Just bought a 2017 challenger r/t with the 5.7. Nothing wrong with getting a v6 though. However get ready for the constant "does it have the hemi in it" questions.
@Star Wars 2018 lmfaoo because you were around girls men ask those questions
Miko lol, I don't engage in racing Bro.I could really care less how fast the next persons car or truck is honestly, but to each its own..
Sube4Real your not pissing off v8 drivers, myself included, we're not the ones driving a v6
Mopar 4 Life I have a v8. I don't care what v6 drivers say or think
Mopar 4 Life gawd? Who's the idiot?lol
Best of luck to you.
mikebythesun .....the best comment her....by a long shot👍
While I was driving a 96 Honda Accord that was passed down to me. Luckily I saved enough to buy a "savage" 2014 Challenger.
Sweet ride bro, I recently got my sxt plus. I freaking love it
Most people commenting can’t even afford or can’t get a Challenger due to other reasons so let people hate be proud of your V6
Nice looking car. I like the fact that you got the upgraded package with the 20 inch wheels, fog lights and rear spoiler. The V6 Challengers with the 17 inch wheels, no rear spoiler and fog lights just look so plain. Heck, they almost don't look like Challengers.
Hey i got a 2016 challenger V6 Im happy with it... svaed 5 grand and able to go to school...👍👍👍👍👍👍
Keep up the videos my man! V6 or not, you’re a part of the Mopar Fam!
It’s funny how times seems to go so slow when your younger and speeds up the older you get lol.
lol
Recently bought a '19 Sublime SXT + AWD and no regrets. Perfect daily driver for me with northeast weather. Sure a V8 would have been lots of fun but knowing there's a supercharger for the V6 is something to look forward to at some point. It's still one of the best looking sports car on the road so you should only get what you can comfortably afford and as long as you're happy with it who cares what anyone else thinks.
My respect goes out to you man, hopefully one day you can get your dream scat pack
My dads Porsche928s had the same hp and was plenty of fun back in the 90s. Your car sounds and looks amazing.
I have a v6 daily driver. No need for v8. I love my v6 and more than happy with it. V8 owners (not all) need to grow up.
You did good man, specially for a first car hell I wish I had a current year model car as my first when I was young. Love and enjoy that car, don't have no thoughts of what if an I should of, bad ass car. Hell 1 second slower then the RT isn't crap or something around that. Welcome to the mopar fam
Buddy of mine told me you should not have got a v6 challenger. I then told him you should not have gotten a Ford focus
Host Disorder exactly, i know a guy that makes 130k and drives a base mustang
I earn over 500k a year and I drive a rascal scooter.
I’m bill gates and I’m homeless
Vuhsach _ this doesn’t count , because the ecoboost is actually a good car lol
Just an amazing car period. I got myself a 2015 Challenger V6 and I'm proud of it 😎
I think any sport car should a v8

We got the same taste in vehicles mate. In fact I initially had - Ram 1500 then I traded it in and bought the 2017 Jeep Cherokee didn't like it so much then.. the next day came back for the 2017 Dodge Challenger V6. And that's my vehicle now love it mate. I don't regret it.
Drive what you want, I had to have the v8 hemi with a manual. I got it and love it
I owned a v6 Challenger for 7 months.
I just bought my sxt challenger that looks just like it and i love my v6
I also had an 05 chevy silverado duramax too.
I love my v6 challenger
I have a 2009 V6 Challenger. I like it. Drive what you like!
My V-6 get 32.8 mpg going 80 mph at 2k rpms I love it, and it will go 100 mph in a heartbeat.
V6 challenger here keep doing yo thang ppl complaining bout get a v8 most ppl who hv em cnt drive anyways lol
PilsPlease about 278K miles
not bad :) what challenger are you thinking about getting since I see that you plan to get one for your next car.
I like mine, I got a 17 for the sake of newness and the warranty.
I also really like white challengers.
PilsPlease since man im jeoulos lol i really want a R/T Hemi V8 color black in 2015 i have it plan out
yeah good choice :) I don't like hemis where I live just due to the fact that I have seen gas 2x hit $5.40 in my life.
V6 has 300hp and RWD...works and rides nice! I had to rent one and love it! Great car!
Nun of these nikkas probably won’t even have the chance to own a challenger or Charger 🤣🤣🤣
Things I'm considering: Older vs Newer body style, V6 Vs V8 Overall, Older V6 vs Newer V6,etc Love challengers.
Got me a SXT plus and it is awesome!
Do you have Little to No Credit to get a Rate of 24%???
I bought what I could afford in December. a 17 Cruze RS. but as long as they don't get rid of the v6 the challenger WILL be my next car
yea bro v6 are good 305 hp stock is great honestly. it just won’t give you the deep aggressive sound most search for in the v8s .
I mean good for you rolling in a brand new 2017. But V6 is a no no for me. Would rather buy something else and wait until I could afford the V8
my f20b 99 Civic sedan smoked a v6 Challenger on I 75 coming home from Clearwater to Orlando and by the time I hit a hundred fifty miles an hour I look back he was about 6 7 cars behind. he thought he was going to catch me slipping little did he know I had a surprise under the hood send a mild tune and intake, two and a half inch exhaust
That Sublime Green Charger was sweet, but you made the right choice on not financing at that ridiculous rate.
As for MPG I drive fast and I get 17-19 city and with the little highway I've done I got 25-28 highway MPG.
don’t worry man i’m 19 too and i bought my first car 2018 v6 challenger too
bro you couldve easylie bought yourself a hemi if u wanted.
your v6 has 2k miles in this video, so its basically new - you couldve bought a used hemi.
but nvm its your money and your decision :)
I bought mine V6 as there were no V8 all- wheel drive available anywhere in my state. I had to drive 2 hrs to the city it was in.
One of my friends has a 17 Challenger Gt with a muffler and resonator delete it didn't sound that bad I really recommend it
dylan saroki Challenger GT? What?
salvador lopez have you never heard of the gt?
its the new v6 line instead of sxt
Challenger GT is an AWD car, you can still get an SXT.
oh, the new 2017 AWD Challenger GT. sorry about that i completely forgot of that new line up of challengers lol. i have heard about it just forgot. XD
Screw the haters dude. Nice car! I traded my 16 Scat for a 16 fatcat. There is nothing wrong with your car or the regular RT.
I respect this so much dude, blessings to you and yours
The very first muscle cars came out with straight 6 motors. It’s your money and your car get what I️ need. I️ have a 5.4 f-350 and I️ love that truck. It fits my needs.
I really really want to pick up and SXT Plus or GT one day, maybe in the future I can get an orange T/A, like the classic ones. The Hemi orange '70 T/A is gorgeous, hopefully I can get a modern one of the same color if I get enough.
I had a 2016 v6 for 3 years I upgraded to a v8 2 months ago I loved my v6 it’s absolutely nothing wrong with it I love my v8 also but people still tell me how they miss my v6 I do too
Said no one ever lop
@@eddiedaugherty7063 bro you commenting under every person hating on v6’s.. Ik you are a child with no car
Just supercharge it, you can get another 150hp with the supercharger. 3.6 pentastar is a damn good engine with the 8 spd.
Not really the 8 speed just a second faster then the 5 speed.
We love our challenger gt it's good on gas and when we want that little kick it has the power
Nice video and nice vehicle too. Take care now.
