    Just think you got more horsepower and performance in your V6 Challenger than 90% of the muscle cars of the past! Technology is king!

    • @ronaldk3904
      @ronaldk3904 7 лет назад +40

      Absolutely! Not too interested in doing this with my own Challenger V6, but it's potent evidence of just what does sit under the hood. Pay attention everybody who says "you should of gotten the V8". A V6 Challenger has more than enough giddy up to have a bushel of fun without draining your wallet.

    • @sandwich3558
      @sandwich3558 6 лет назад +8

      Yeah it makes decent power but hopefully dodge's new chassis for the Challenger is less than two tons so that poor v6 can actually do it's thing. If you can have fun in the v6 challenger, I applaud you, just don't ever get in the R/T or scatpack like I did. Once you go V8 you'll never look back.

    Lol it took a minute to get going, but actually did it and surprised me. Didn't know that the V6 cars had limited slip, and thought it would be a one tire fire if anything. I've got a zauto burnbox in my Challenger SRT8, and love it for doing huge smokey burnouts

    Nice Burnout! Why V8 owners getting buttburn about V6? If it can do what I want it to do and looks the same and its much more than enough for US streets speed limits.... Unless you go to tracks with it I dont see the point of a V8 actually, am even bored with my V6 stuck behind Civic and Prius every time I take it out! If we have some highways like Germany with no speed limit then maybe I will get a V8 if am willing to race there..

    Quick tip tho, if u have the select shift (should be left of Drive) use it. If u just have it in drive while doing it, you’ll mess up your transmission. Just keep it in 1st and do what u just did. All in all, pretty good for your first burnout.

    Keep practicing your 0-60 time. Best time I’ve gotten in my ‘18 Chally SXT is 5.4 seconds. Car had been driven for about 30 minutes, it was only 42° outside, early morning. I haven’t been able to get that time again, but close. Usually 5.6 seconds. My vehicle is stock at the moment but I do put it into sport mode when doing the 0-60 track.

    Nice car. Holding the breaks and gas at the same time is not good for the breaks or the transmission. I'm sure this once didn't break anything but you probably don't want to make a habbitt of that. I have an SXT and you can do a nice burn out without holding the break if you turn the front wheels.

    Hi guys, i gotta ask. I have similar car,only little older (2015) and non-Plus version. I always wonder how to do burnout,cause i have button for traction control which i cant turn off,and also sport mode same as in vid, but i dont have stability control button and i am pretty sure my car dosnt have line lock. When he punched the gas pedal,his front wheels stayed at same spot. How does that work? I mean,you obviously cant stand on the brakes cause then rear wheels wouldnt spin at all, but i imagine that when you put it in 1st gear and hit the gas,it would go forward.

      Octane red but I find the coat on it is so thin it gets scratches so easy. I’m actually disappointed in Dodge paint jobs. I have the exact same challenger as this one, same color everything and but a 2018 and it’s got 4000 Kms on it and already just from washing it it’s got a few scratches that are so light but you can see the primer. You can’t even feel them with your fingernails but seeing primer. That’s a super thin coat of paint. I’m thinking of getting it clear coated to protect it a lot more.

      1. turn off stability control if you have it
      2. put car in lowest gear.
      3. press brakes all the way down.
      4. Press gas all the way down.
      5. slowly release brakes

      Yep, pretty easy. I just need to get to know the car a little better to do a better burnout.
