Hello everyone! Thanks for the feedback on this video. Looking at it again, I agree that the ratings scale for the reviews are a bit flawed, so I’ll explain my thought process at the time. All reviews on the Atrocious gacha review series will likely never get anything below a 6, since if I tried to play a game like this one, I’ll likely just drop it and a review will never get made, since I don’t see a point of playing a game I don’t enjoy. Even if I forced myself to play it for a month, I would be just reviewing it out of spite. For now, I can’t take back the video entirely, but I have trimmed the part where I mention the lowest rating would be a 5/10, and also edited the thumbnail to remove the numbers. The overall meaning of the video shouldn’t change, and this is just a one-off thing, but I will definitely reconsider the rating scale going forward
Just wanna say that I appreciate your gacha reviews that take a thorough look into the parts of the game that matter for this particular genre, I think it's a valuable resource.👍 That said, it is tough to understand a grading system that will only ever use 5-8 out of a 10-point scale that won't lead to misinterpretation. It's better to make a grading scale custom to how you want to convey your experience/recommendation, whether that be a more limited number range or a worded ranking (bad, OK, great, etc.). Since you were you already using essentially a 4-point system you could start there, but whatever you decide is up to you.

Between the cut portion explaining the 5/10 being the minimum and the portion from iirc your limbus review saying that 8/10 was the maximum, I think a reevaluation would be useful. Even considering this comment, we can then expect that any future atrocious gacha reviews will be between 6 and 8, right? General rule of thumb: don't give Crunchyroll ANY of your money. They're gonna waste it on awful original productions, then dish out low-effort subs and dubs and insult their customers.

well he said in the end how his ratings are to be interpreted. his rating scale only goes from 0 to 5 and then he just adds 5 for whatever reason. so yea this is not a 5/10 this is a good ol 0/5
Maybe that's how you interpret the 1-10 scale, but that's not how the vast majority of people use it. Games that get a 5/10 average reviews are always just really bad games that are barely playable. Any game that's average will typically garner around a 7.5. Even unplayable messes of abandonware without a story to speak of will get at least a 2 or 3.

A "functional" game still can be very bad and usually are, mid can be more than functional and have things to like or a lot goin on. Mid just usually is either very polarizing, has a lot of flaws pullin its good aspects down, or its just average and not bad not good usually. Functional just means it physically works. Most games are "functional". The movie the room is "functional" like it physically works as intended but I sure aint callin that movie a 5/10. What isnt functional is something like sonic 06 where its absolutely broken and does not even work or a movie that feels is unfinished or kinda broke from their production. A movie that Id consider actually not functioning is the movie Cats. Its a bad idea that does not work, has blatently unfinished and bad visuals because the director had no idea how any of that worked and tried directing animation like live action, and it fundimentally is not a good adaptation of its much better source material.

"Hey I went to this restaurant and they served me rotten food that made me sick but I'll still give them a 5/10 because they technically still served me food."
In that example you'd go below 5/10 because food isn't supposed to make you sick. It's like if the game hade game breaking bugs and could barely get past the start up screen.

The point of using a 10 point scale is because some games are fundamentally broken or nonfunctional in some way. 5 is literally average, meaning its functional but nothing else, how the fuck do people not understand this?
@@matrix3509 The point of using a rating system is when multiple people rate it averages out the score. They use it for things like reviews though because people will whine if they don't. Moving the average down to 2/10 just gives a new problem. how are you supposed to decide how a game is good enough whether it falls for 3 to 10 on the scale? A lot of opinions on games are arbitrary as is. Not to mention if you like something there is pressure to not give it too low a score which can lead to scores being inflated.
This is missing the context of how bad other games are. The level of atrocious some of these gacha games get is just embarrassing. Like for all of this game's flaws, it doesn't look awful on the surface, just looks like a generic anime tie-in game. Whereas other games definitely reach further into varying degrees of unplayability that make it hard to just lump them all at a 1-2/10. So realistically you could look at it as a -5 to +5 scale because a 5 in this case is the bare minimum of playability.
Tbh 5/10 for an “atrocious” gacha feels generous. Yes they made a game, but you might well make it a 1-5 scoring system instead of a 1-10 where have the score numbers dont exist. Personally I think there are good IP based gacha games out there (Tales of the Rays on the Japanese server is one and had a very healthy 7.5 years of life). But as you said, most of them are not great and are red flags since they just coast on the IP.

I think you restricted yoursef too much with score for the game, you said that gacha games doesn't deserve score more, than 8/10, and now "bad" score for you is already 5/10, so scores of next reviewed games will be 5 (bad), 6-8 (good) not much use of the score system in general at this point.
Since a acore of 5/10 is usually average then i think what is trying to be said is that this game is average (which is bad because gacha games are generally bad)

Dude you're way too generous with your ratings. 5 in theory should be "Average". You could give this game a 3 and that'd likely still be generous. The intro was likely the only good thing about the game whatsoever.
Im sorry but your rating makes no sense. It is generaly assumed that a 5/10 rating, means that the thing that youre rating is average and not that the thing simply exists (in this case, claming that they get a 5/10 because the game simply exists and was made). This is the equivalent of me having to do an exam, writing my name and a bunch of answers that make no sense and the teacher still passing me, because I went through the process of actually making the exam... If the thing youre reviewing is lackluster, bad, or underwhelming, then that thing should receive a lackluster, bad, or underhwhelming score, that matches it, and not a score that makes it seem like the product is average or acceptable in general

The usual price for an SSR selector in gacha games is $25 for a standard banner character or $50 for a limited one, $99 for a standard banner selector is just a ripoff

@@ZeroakaKiraTo answer your question, no of course the $1000 price tag is fake because the play store and app store only allow purchases for up to $110 give or take. That said, those fake discounts are also illegal (at least in the EU where I live) because they're fraudulent by nature, the only reason the discounts exist is because video games with micro transactions in general are largely unregulated beyond the age rating system.
I can understand not wanting to put any game below, maybe a 3/10? But having 5/10 be an "atrocious" game is, frankly, an atrocious system. Personally, I feel like a 5/10 would be something like, "Fun to play, but doesn't do anything particularly well or unique. You'd be better off playing other similar games instead", rather than having, like, 2 positive comments the entire video. Also, I really wonder what that 6/10 is...

Almost any gacha game that is created using an existing popular IP tends to be trash. They are usually just poorly made cash grabs The devs want to put in just enough effort to get people to download, spend a little money, then cash out and leave it to die
Shoutout to Project Sekai/Colorful Stage for being a good Hatsune Miku rythm game and having nice story (at the cost of very expensive microtransactions tho).
Pseychie I’ve absolutely been enjoying this series and I’m super glad to have found your channel! Everything has been informative, well researched, and it’s nice to see gameplay of these gacha games that I personally would not otherwise play myself, but I enjoy learning about and seeing the different designs, unique gameplay, game mechanics, and art. But I have to agree with some of these comments that you might want to edit your rating system a bit. Having ranges within it that will never exist makes things confusing.. Like others said a 5/10 universally everyone will think is average and this game is.. definitely not average. I understand the system and all but you might want to tweak your rating system it a bit so your opinion is better understood visually as well :) Probably by either making the range smaller (others have suggested 5/5 instead), or just including the 1-4 by expanding the point distribution in your current system. The last thing any predatory, money-grubbing gacha games needs is undue praise (that and your money) Also the philosophy behind a gacha game never getting a perfect score tho I think is fine; It keeps things in perspective that these games only really want your money even if some of them do it better than others. Anyway, I’m very excited for the next video! I’m always glad to see a notification from your channel 😄
Thanks for the good points! I took a look at the comments here, and I would agree that the range is a bit weird. The majority of the games reviewed will likely be in the 7 or 8 range, since if I took a look at a game that’s truly godawful, I would just stop playing, since there would be no point in continuing it; it wouldn’t even end up with a review. It’s obviously too late to change it now for this video, but I will keep it in mind going forward
The main issue isn't the grading system, it's that the game is dead. You can't rate a live service game when it is not live. Also I don't know if you've tried the game but pseychie is absolutely valid in that there is a game here. You can really see it when you play it, but then realize the devs abandoned it, so it will never be what it was supposed to be.
The second season of One Punch Man is also pretty good (not as good, of course). There was unwarranted doomposting about its quality just because Madhouse wasn't involved anymore, but it ended up fine. Also it introduces Garou, who is the strongest (i.e. best written) character in OPM.
Please review Another Eden! Love the game, truly high-quality albeit it does have numerous flaws, gacha included, so I'm curious how it'll do on your series. 💚
Another Eden is one of those gacha games that depending on when you joined, could be one of those mobages that stay on your phone forever or you dip out immediately because the grind is actually for insane people oh my god
I saw gameplays of him seemingly fighting but it was saitama doing the job at high speed, which part of the story or event lets you play as that king? It honestly could work as a broken unit with that approach to justify him being playable

in their first 2 weeks, they started a false ban issue and im one of victom of that😂, they have poor customer support service and there's no compensation and apologies after being banned for 48 hrs, after that I quit. it is also worth to mention that in the first month of the game (i'm not quite sure abt the time frame) the pity doesn't carry over other banners, in this case, the tatsumaki banner(1st banner) the pity spent there won't transfer to the next other banner saitama dreamworld(2nd banner), now idk if they finally change it or not. nevertheless it is fun for FEW days.
When I heard about this game coming out AND it's release by CR Games, I knew the game wouldn't survive even a year. But the game exceeded even my low expectations. In how atrocious it was.
From the standpoint of someone who has played the game since launch (148+ days), I do think your opinions on the game really resonate with (what's left of) the game's community. Even of the state of the game, I think the game is really good (fundamentals wise), but I think the game is really lacking in content and things for players to do. The social media teams are very unorganized and I think the management and the drama that is happening with the companies behind the scenes is really hindering the game and preventing it from progressing any further.
As an avid fan of One Punch Man who's played every one of the games made for this so far including the other two app games and the fighting game I have to say... this shit is unplayable. It's repulsive. It's like playing fragments of a possibly fun game that never get put together. Shit is loveless.
As a One Punch Man fan, let me tell you how this game could've been made. You could have King as the main character and he wouldn't be playable, much like Zenless Zone Zero 2 main characters. King in the series is this guy with godly luck, he is always in most events and goes through them unscathed. So he's the perfect character to situate the story around, they could then present the actual playable characters as the ones you actually get to play during events. And with King as the main character, that would've made the story have a lot of funny moments as well as naturally showcase each hero as you progress, more importantly it would also have Saitama, Genos and other characters show up pretty often.

Maybe this is my hot take, but you're really limiting yourself for the rating system if your overall range is from 5 to 8 for gacha games. It is a flawed system that rewards sloppy games because as much damage the game can inflict, the lowest score they can get is 5 which is "mediocre" on 10 points rating system.
Apparently i'm the most generous gamer ever because i genuinely love this game. But i will literally never spend money on a game unless it's BUYING the game. Especially gacha games.

Hope I get atleast 3 copies At 150th or so pull I got my first ssr of that pulling session. 277 a single copy of hokusai FGO is kinda fucked up in that department, atleast before the pity got implemented which was really late. And watching this guy's previous vids. He played fgo for a long time
next game i recommend you review is Sdorica, this is a pretty interesting gacha game. It made by Rayark, a game company famous for making rhythm game like Cytus and Deemo so the great have some really good music/ost. In term of story is really great it go deep into the char and there r even side story of each char as well. Unique thing of Sdorica is beside the "daily" farming there is no stamina system to do anything else, another great thing is how Sdorica tend to balance char directly or release a skill book that can be easily buy that change a char entire kit, rarity in sdorica don't mean much as every char can be raise to ssr status, many char in years 1 is still being top tier and use a lot even nowadays. And the gacha of the game is only worse part about it but i will let you exp as you play
One of the main reasons, I ditch this game is that the character's kit feels off, Like Fubuki, for example, you'd think she's a long range nuke type, but no, She's actually short range Sekiro type that expect you to go up close and personal.
5/10 is an okayish rating for this game. It has decent but not good gameplay, there is content to explore. Only the monetization is very bad. Nice video once again!

This instantly clears any max0r gacha review, the person actually cares about who watches the video and gives proper advice to help them avoid predatory gachas that are not worth the investment while also studying each aspect of the game in a non-biased way.
Thank god Bleach Brave Souls exist to perfectly demonstrate how goated Gacha games can be if they are actually consumer friendly to all players, fairly monetized, have purchases mostly made optional, offer nutty rewards that other mobile games WISHED they could offer, have fantastic communication with the community, is updated with new characters costantly and is so much fun to play.
I think, I mentioned this somewhere but Tatsumaki's ultimate in this game highly resembles Luna:Laurel's from PGR. I think the game takes heavy reference or copies from other medias too, so I'm keeping an eye out for the funny Ctrl C+V moment
NGL, if not for the monetization and the game just being pretty bare in places, probably would have checked it out. Smile Man - aka Japanese Chapulin - did seem cool enough to me (plus I like the concept of being either a guy in the Hero Association or one of it's main members having to recruit your team members in order to fight villains. That's basically what you do in other games, but with a different flavor).
I rarely ever play a gacha game, the only one I have been playing constantly is Mario kart tour, which stopped being gacha a long time ago lmao, so learning about how people sees 90 dollars prices as acceptable is stupid crazy to me, at that point I would be investing in a Switch or a Switch clone that can emulate higher quality games sold for 40 dollars. I honestly want to play Genshin, looking at the gameplay it looks like a fun game I wouldn't even remember I have to pay for new characters, I feel it could be different from everything else in the gameplay department.
Hey psy. Could you review Eversoul? I regard it as the good casual idle gacha game as its the only idle game that could hook me longer than Nikke. I think it deserved more recognition than it currently have (altho i can understand mostly because troubling optimization). I really want to know what new player or outsider think about the game (hopefully you can get into the game lol). Altho their 1.5 Anniv is coming at 4th July so i think it will skew your opinion alot.
I think there has only been one gacha game based on an existing IP that has done well so far, and that's "Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator". It's based off the JRPG Atelier series, and has characters from across the series history. It's also co-developed by Gust who are the original developers of the series. The gacha can be brutal at times, but you can select any current and existing limited character you want after you do 150 pulls, and the points towards that guarantee is permanent and never goes away. It also has great production values, an original world with an original story/characters, and all that has been very well executed so far. They recently wrapped up "Part 1" of the game's main story and a part 2 is planned in the near future, so I think the game is still going strong.
amazing video as always pseychie. its a shame what they did to one punch man as nothing more as a name you can cash in for. but i want to know how did 5 become the low standard. i would asigned 2 or 3 as the low standard. where 1 is the game gets you in, 2 the game moves around nicely and 3 is the game as some replaying or intriguing features. or 4. being the game is on par to those game ads you have on other free mobile games. but you really are putting that phycology major to work

Smile doesnt appear a lot in the main series coz is just a reference i think is very similar to "el chapulin colorado" a comedic Mexican superhero that uses red clothes with a heart yellow logo in his chest and his primary weapon is a squeaky hammer

Just an FYI, Limited Banner Pity does carry over from banner to banner. It wasn't in the game at launch, then after they released atomic samurai they updated it afterwards... then it was bugged and people had to put tickets in to get Amai Mask when they should have gotten him... After that they finally fixed it

I feel like every single one of these existing anime IP with character action type of gacha all look and plays the same. Every single one of them tries to emulate Genshin or Zenless Zone. Even without the predatory microtransactions, I see little reason to play these type of games, even if you're a superfan of the series.
As someone whose first gacha is Limbus, a $90 selector seems insane to me. The $11 limbus battle pass gets you enough weekly shards through mirror dungeons to select a 000 unit or EGO around once every 2-3 weeks.

Food Fantasy was my first Gacha game, and I didn't realize how predatory it was until I touched Genshin Impact. The amount of content and how they offer top-ups is night and day.
As someone who plays lots of gachas, the low rates for existing IPs will never not break my heart. Like Fate is a 0.8% chance for the rate up max rarity unit. It always feels so stingy.
For IP based gatcha games, I'm curious what he would make of Warhammer 40k: Tacitus. Though it seems to have some IP based weakness, (lack of story, very expensive to whale) but I would argue is quite f2p friendly, has lots of free content, and frequent events. As a strategy game it is also different genre then alot of these other games.
Hey man, This is the first video I watch from you I gotta say I'm liking what I'm seeing here. Although I long quit playing Gacha, there're still some game that I really enjoy back in the day. Could you please review "Fist Of The North Star Legend ReVive" Next ? It's another game depend on an IP that's probably long forgotten by people yet it's about to have it's 6 years anniversity soon. It's one of the Iast game I played before quiting the genre, and I remember throughly enjoy it.
FYI the reason the game is in a bda shape is cause the developers had bad development problem. During the remote work during the pandemic a lot of staff were not doing their work and were later fired once found out. They are understaff so they outsourced development to other studios. There are several leaks both codes and footage of content that will be added invluding guilds and pvp. They dont really care for global atm cause the main investors are the chinese who dont have their version of the game out yet. We expect something in july since its will be half anniversary. They already paid server space for a year so dont expect it to get shutdown anytime soon.

if crunchy roll is invole then it will not have a long life span cause look at their history with publishing game they tend to close down in 2 or 1 year
I used to play GBF a lot and until one of our guild leaders lost his mind over guild wars, at that moment I started playing Arknights (on release) and now I'm not touching a gacha game with lower than 6% drop rates and weapon gacha. Weapon gacha and rates below 6% are an automatic no-no for me. I did like Brown Dust 2 tho, but yeah, I dropped it very fast.
The funny thing is, I played the previous 3 of the 2 games (one had 2 versions) and neither was THAT bad. Though there's a reason I only played version 1 of game 1 until I got Tatsumaki and only played version 2 for like a day, and played game 2 for less than a week before bailing...
As someone who has played opmw almost every day since launch, f2p, max level, I do think this is the best official opm game ever released, but in comparison to any other game made, that doesnt mean its fortunately any special. I do think its a good game but its just, average, and sadly average is what i think is the best opm game we have

Maybe that's how you interpret the 1-10 scale, but that's not how the vast majority of people use it. Games that get a 5/10 average reviews are always just really bad games that are barely playable. Any game that's average will typically garner around a 7.5. Even unplayable messes of abandonware without a story to speak of will get at least a 2 or 3.

A "functional" game still can be very bad and usually are, mid can be more than functional and have things to like or a lot goin on. Mid just usually is either very polarizing, has a lot of flaws pullin its good aspects down, or its just average and not bad not good usually. Functional just means it physically works. Most games are "functional". The movie the room is "functional" like it physically works as intended but I sure aint callin that movie a 5/10. What isnt functional is something like sonic 06 where its absolutely broken and does not even work or a movie that feels is unfinished or kinda broke from their production. A movie that Id consider actually not functioning is the movie Cats. Its a bad idea that does not work, has blatently unfinished and bad visuals because the director had no idea how any of that worked and tried directing animation like live action, and it fundimentally is not a good adaptation of its much better source material.

Moving the average down to 2/10 just gives a new problem. how are you supposed to decide how a game is good enough whether it falls for 3 to 10 on the scale? A lot of opinions on games are arbitrary as is. Not to mention if you like something there is pressure to not give it too low a score which can lead to scores being inflated.
This is missing the context of how bad other games are. The level of atrocious some of these gacha games get is just embarrassing. Like for all of this game's flaws, it doesn't look awful on the surface, just looks like a generic anime tie-in game. Whereas other games definitely reach further into varying degrees of unplayability that make it hard to just lump them all at a 1-2/10. So realistically you could look at it as a -5 to +5 scale because a 5 in this case is the bare minimum of playability.

Personally I think there are good IP based gacha games out there (Tales of the Rays on the Japanese server is one and had a very healthy 7.5 years of life). But as you said, most of them are not great and are red flags since they just coast on the IP.

Pseychie I’ve absolutely been enjoying this series and I’m super glad to have found your channel! Everything has been informative, well researched, and it’s nice to see gameplay of these gacha games that I personally would not otherwise play myself, but I enjoy learning about and seeing the different designs, unique gameplay, game mechanics, and art. But I have to agree with some of these comments that you might want to edit your rating system a bit. Having ranges within it that will never exist makes things confusing.. Like others said a 5/10 universally everyone will think is average and this game is.. definitely not average. I understand the system and all but you might want to tweak your rating system it a bit so your opinion is better understood visually as well :) Probably by either making the range smaller (others have suggested 5/5 instead), or just including the 1-4 by expanding the point distribution in your current system. The last thing any predatory, money-grubbing gacha games needs is undue praise (that and your money) Also the philosophy behind a gacha game never getting a perfect score tho I think is fine; It keeps things in perspective that these games only really want your money even if some of them do it better than others.

Thanks for the good points! I took a look at the comments here, and I would agree that the range is a bit weird. The majority of the games reviewed will likely be in the 7 or 8 range, since if I took a look at a game that’s truly godawful, I would just stop playing, since there would be no point in continuing it; it wouldn’t even end up with a review. It’s obviously too late to change it now for this video, but I will keep it in mind going forward
The main issue isn't the grading system, it's that the game is dead. You can't rate a live service game when it is not live. Also I don't know if you've tried the game but pseychie is absolutely valid in that there is a game here. You can really see it when you play it, but then realize the devs abandoned it, so it will never be what it was supposed to be.

The second season of One Punch Man is also pretty good (not as good, of course). There was unwarranted doomposting about its quality just because Madhouse wasn't involved anymore, but it ended up fine. Also it introduces Garou, who is the strongest (i.e. best written) character in OPM.
Just a shame the manga writing hasn't kept up too. Garou is great, too bad about the retconned chapter.

in their first 2 weeks, they started a false ban issue and im one of victom of that😂, they have poor customer support service and there's no compensation and apologies after being banned for 48 hrs, after that I quit. it is also worth to mention that in the first month of the game (i'm not quite sure abt the time frame) the pity doesn't carry over other banners, in this case, the tatsumaki banner(1st banner) the pity spent there won't transfer to the next other banner saitama dreamworld(2nd banner), now idk if they finally change it or not. nevertheless it is fun for FEW days.
When I heard about this game coming out AND it's release by CR Games, I knew the game wouldn't survive even a year. But the game exceeded even my low expectations. In how atrocious it was.
From the standpoint of someone who has played the game since launch (148+ days), I do think your opinions on the game really resonate with (what's left of) the game's community. Even of the state of the game, I think the game is really good (fundamentals wise), but I think the game is really lacking in content and things for players to do. The social media teams are very unorganized and I think the management and the drama that is happening with the companies behind the scenes is really hindering the game and preventing it from progressing any further.

As an avid fan of One Punch Man who's played every one of the games made for this so far including the other two app games and the fighting game I have to say... this shit is unplayable. As a One Punch Man fan, let me tell you how this game could've been made. You could have King as the main character and he wouldn't be playable, much like Zenless Zone Zero 2 main characters. King in the series is this guy with godly luck, he is always in most events and goes through them unscathed. So he's the perfect character to situate the story around, they could then present the actual playable characters as the ones you actually get to play during events. And with King as the main character, that would've made the story have a lot of funny moments as well as naturally showcase each hero as you progress, more importantly it would also have Saitama, Genos and other characters show up pretty often.

next game i recommend you review is Sdorica, this is a pretty interesting gacha game. It made by Rayark, a game company famous for making rhythm game like Cytus and Deemo so the great have some really good music/ost. In term of story is really great it go deep into the char and there r even side story of each char as well. Unique thing of Sdorica is beside the "daily" farming there is no stamina system to do anything else, another great thing is how Sdorica tend to balance char directly or release a skill book that can be easily buy that change a char entire kit, rarity in sdorica don't mean much as every char can be raise to ssr status, many char in years 1 is still being top tier and use a lot even nowadays. And the gacha of the game is only worse part about it but i will let you exp as you play
One of the main reasons, I ditch this game is that the character's kit feels off, Like Fubuki, for example, you'd think she's a long range nuke type, but no, She's actually short range Sekiro type that expect you to go up close and personal.
5/10 is an okayish rating for this game. It has decent but not good gameplay, there is content to explore. Only the monetization is very bad.

NGL, if not for the monetization and the game just being pretty bare in places, probably would have checked it out. Smile Man - aka Japanese Chapulin - did seem cool enough to me (plus I like the concept of being either a guy in the Hero Association or one of it's main members having to recruit your team members in order to fight villains. That's basically what you do in other games, but with a different flavor).
I rarely ever play a gacha game, the only one I have been playing constantly is Mario kart tour, which stopped being gacha a long time ago lmao, so learning about how people sees 90 dollars prices as acceptable is stupid crazy to me, at that point I would be investing in a Switch or a Switch clone that can emulate higher quality games sold for 40 dollars.
I honestly want to play Genshin, looking at the gameplay it looks like a fun game I wouldn't even remember I have to pay for new characters, I feel it could be different from everything else in the gameplay department.

I think there has only been one gacha game based on an existing IP that has done well so far, and that's "Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator".
It's based off the JRPG Atelier series, and has characters from across the series history. It's also co-developed by Gust who are the original developers of the series. The gacha can be brutal at times, but you can select any current and existing limited character you want after you do 150 pulls, and the points towards that guarantee is permanent and never goes away. It also has great production values, an original world with an original story/characters, and all that has been very well executed so far. They recently wrapped up "Part 1" of the game's main story and a part 2 is planned in the near future, so I think the game is still going strong.

Just an FYI, Limited Banner Pity does carry over from banner to banner. It wasn't in the game at launch, then after they released atomic samurai they updated it afterwards... then it was bugged and people had to put tickets in to get Amai Mask when they should have gotten him... After that they finally fixed it

As someone whose first gacha is Limbus, a $90 selector seems insane to me. The $11 limbus battle pass gets you enough weekly shards through mirror dungeons to select a 000 unit or EGO around once every 2-3 weeks.

Food Fantasy was my first Gacha game, and I didn't realize how predatory it was until I touched Genshin Impact. The amount of content and how they offer top-ups is night and day.

For IP based gatcha games, I'm curious what he would make of Warhammer 40k: Tacitus. Though it seems to have some IP based weakness, (lack of story, very expensive to whale) but I would argue is quite f2p friendly, has lots of free content, and frequent events. As a strategy game it is also different genre then alot of these other games.

Hey man, This is the first video I watch from you I gotta say I'm liking what I'm seeing here. Although I long quit playing Gacha, there're still some game that I really enjoy back in the day. Could you please review "Fist Of The North Star Legend ReVive" Next ? It's another game depend on an IP that's probably long forgotten by people yet it's about to have it's 6 years anniversity soon. It's one of the Iast game I played before quiting the genre, and I remember throughly enjoy it.
FYI the reason the game is in a bda shape is cause the developers had bad development problem. During the remote work during the pandemic a lot of staff were not doing their work and were later fired once found out. They are understaff so they outsourced development to other studios. There are several leaks both codes and footage of content that will be added invluding guilds and pvp. They dont really care for global atm cause the main investors are the chinese who dont have their version of the game out yet. We expect something in july since its will be half anniversary. They already paid server space for a year so dont expect it to get shutdown anytime soon.

if crunchy roll is invole then it will not have a long life span cause look at their history with publishing game they tend to close down in 2 or 1 year
I used to play GBF a lot and until one of our guild leaders lost his mind over guild wars, at that moment I started playing Arknights (on release) and now I'm not touching a gacha game with lower than 6% drop rates and weapon gacha.
Weapon gacha and rates below 6% are an automatic no-no for me. I did like Brown Dust 2 tho, but yeah, I dropped it very fast.

The funny thing is, I played the previous 3 of the 2 games (one had 2 versions) and neither was THAT bad. Though there's a reason I only played version 1 of game 1 until I got Tatsumaki and only played version 2 for like a day, and played game 2 for less than a week before bailing...
As someone who has played opmw almost every day since launch, f2p, max level, I do think this is the best official opm game ever released, but in comparison to any other game made, that doesnt mean its fortunately any special. I do think its a good game but its just, average, and sadly average is what i think is the best opm game we have
