Some of my all time favorite KISS songs are precisely on your list, hahaha: I do love Kissin' Time, Getaway, Flaming Youth, Then She Kissed Me, Dirty Livin', Torpedo Girl, Odyssey and We Are One. My favorite KISS studio albums, in order, are: 1. Destroyer (I love Great Expectations too!), 2. Love Gun, 3. Unmasked, 4. Dynasty, 5. KISS. Been a fan since 75’…a real fan takes the good with the bad and doesn’t trash their work. 200+ songs that we know of for sure and about 10 or so are lackluster…I am sure they can live with that. I enjoyed the post but disagree on about half of the songs, especially “Let Me Go Rock n Roll” and “Flaming Youth”, I agree the chorus in Flaming Youth needed something but it was still a great song.
I was with you until the early 80s. I Love It Loud is the worst on Creatures.I’m Alive is worse than Trial By Fire. Bang Bang You is worse than. My Way.HITS is easier to say what is a good song, but Read My Body is the worst. And I’ve always loved Torpedo Girl.
I stopped buying KISS albums, yes albums, after Love Gun. Not because I didn’t like them anymore, just kinda outgrew them for awhile. “Let me go rock n roll” was an awesome RnR “throwback “ that I always turned up on the stereo !
We only differ in two choices: On "Hotter Than Hell" it should be "Mainline" ("Mainline... baby, give it to me one time"). On "Animalize" it is definitely "Burn, Bitch, Burn" ("Oh babe, I wanna put my log in your fireplace"). "Burn, Bitch, Burn" isn't just the worst KISS song on that album, it is their worst, period. Maybe the worst song in rock. Ever.

Odyssey (but love it) 10 Keep me Comin‘ 11. Lick it up 12. Heavens on Fire 13. Tears are Falling Later Albums I never had until Psycho Circus : 18. I finally find my way My List ends here !
@@billycain9890 me too, I love We Are One.. and I still agree I Finally Found My Way was fcking hot garbage (coming from someone who always enjoyed Peter in his prime- even own his mid 90s solo album that almost no one remembers)
Let Me Go Rock and Roll is great and Get Away is cool too. The Destroyer and Rock and Roll Over quotes I agree with. On Love Gun I never liked Christine Sixteen because I thought it was so corny when he talks in the middle of the song. Like a do wop song from 1962.
Almost Human from Love Gun is even worse, despite having a pretty cool groove, it just is a squashed under the burden of its cheesy lyrics and it just stagnates early. The guitar work almost saves it though!
Haven't started watching the video yet but I love that this exists. Once I became a teenager back in 05-07 and started getting into music for the first time, I fell down the KISS rabbithole since they were my Dad's favourite band. I ripped a lot of the Kissology audio and uploaded it as bootlegs on Guitars 101. Fun times. The back catalog of KISS is a sort of boomer rock purgatory; what happens when very wealthy people have very bad song ideas yet can afford infinite studio time to ensure that these are packaged and sold as commercial products on a yearly basis. There is no set pattern to this chaos but it generally alternates between Gene the narcissistic sex pest, and Stanley Eisen being a more articulate and nuanced sex pest. There is a difference I promise and KISS fans will know what I'm talking about. The result is KISS' library being split effectively in two; there are songs the band was proud to play live (even if for a single tour, common with them) and are worth listening to over and over again, and the other half - close to ten whole album's worth - of the worst, most soulless and contrived boomer rock imaginable. Their work ethic is admirable for the sole reason that they wrote and sold as many brutal, soul-crushingly bad songs shoehorned onto good or otherwise great albums, as other bands have written total in their entire discography. This is probably why I love them so much. Their good songs are great, but their bad songs are completely unhinged and insane, and there are so goddamn many of them covering all possible rock subgenres. And KISS kept doing it, consistently until 2012, culminating in an entire album worth of forgettable music - their magnum opus. Monster is quintessential KISS. It's so bad I won't listen to it or pretend it exists, just as the band, in live shows, pretends half their discography doesn't exist either. Very meta! There are three songs that highlight this: Rockin' in the USA (Alive II), Fits Like a Glove, and Bang Bang You. Even on their most commercially successful albums, the band is creatively bankrupt and borderline retarded. Gene's penis is a snake. Paul's penis, however, is a cannonball! This is the nuance I was talking about. Germany was really neat. Truly we are in the presence of legends. Anyways the worst song off HITS is Read My Body.
When I was about 10 years old my father, genuinely interested in what music I was getting into, sat down for a listen of some songs from Dressed to Kill with me. "Getaway" completely made him burst out laughing at "got no dough." He kept on laughing and going "I gotta get away" and "got no dough." It was a pretty magical moment.
I think you were pretty easy going on these selections, and especially for The Elder...and I also sing along with laughter every damn time. Nice one, once again mate!
I am late to this thread... but, being a HUGE Kiss fan, I know almost every song by heart. And I agree with most of this... and I am impressed with the thought that went into this video. But, I still like most of the songs mentioned here.... Including "Then She Kissed Me". :)
not only does Gene sing "baby" a lot on Let me go rock n roll...but his bass guitar is saying it throughout the whole song. "babeh babeh babeh" is his part on the guitar.
from hotter than hell : strange ways, rarer: baby driver, from love gun :Hooligan", Dynasty:"Dirty Livin' ", unmasked :"Easy as It Seems",the elder:escape from the island, from lick : Fits Like a Glove", animalize : Lonely Is the Hunter",Asylum: Radar for Love", crazy nights: "Thief in the Night", hit shade : "Read My Body", revenge :"Spit",carnival :"In the Mirror", p circus :"I Finally Found My Way", ( we are one is awesome ),sonic boom :Russian Roulette", monster :"Back to the Stone Age"
There's a few Kiss albums that don't have a bad song at all in my opinion that's the debut Kiss album dress to kill creatures of the night and revenge and also rock and roll over
I think you are really underrating Gene. I have never really liked "him" as a person; however as a musician myself I will say he really gets ranked poorly and very undeservingly . Listen to Goin Blind, Let Me Know, and even Hard Luck woman. (Going Blind) especially--- these bass lines are killer. He very easily could play Torpedo Girl
Ace’s solo on ‘Kissin Time’ is superb. ‘Ladies in Waitin’ is the blandest 70s KISS imo. My favourite tracks on Dynasty and Unmasked are your least favourite. 😂 Each to their own. Thanks anyway.

Man, pretty much every Gene song on Animalize and Asylum are turds of an extreme magnitude lyrically. I swear, on Animalize, he fit as many cliches in there as humanly possible. Burn Bitch Burn is a big offender too. You could have picked any Gene song on those albums and been on the money. You hit the nail on the head as far as Gene phoning it in.

At least you guys can remember the names of the worst. As a kid I was like, WhatTheFuck is this shit!? And skip it, like I did by skipping every album after Dynasty because METALLICA made KISS look like 4 singing Jewish clowns.😜
Music From The Elder was supposed to be a soundtrack to a movie The Elder that was never made, so that was why it was more like a Broadway musical album then a rock album, also I think the song You Wanted the Best was the worst track on Psycho Circus, ad I actually really like Saint and Sinner from Creatures of the Night
1. Kissin’ Time 2.Comin' Home 3. Getaway 4. Sweet Pain 5. Baby Driver 6. Love for Sale 7. Hard Times 8. What Makes The World Go 'Round 9. Odyssey 10. Keep Me Comin' 11. Young and Wasted 12. Whenever I watch RUclips videos where people give opinions I always take those opinions with a grain of salt, but I do like this guy and his sense of humor. I also love the fact that he's doing his very best Casey Kasem impersonation.
You are full of it dude. Dirty Livin' is the best song on Dynasty and my favorite Kiss deep track of all time. And is definitely a rock song, not disco. So goes the old saying: opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they all stink.🤣
I'm not gonna lie, you had me in hysterics when you recited some of the lyrics. Especially See You In Your Dreams... Your expression was priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, great video and great content! I just subscribed. Take good care.
I just love the cringe of Read My Body. Paul clearly wanted to do his version of Pour Some Sugar On Me, but instead of making it sexy like that song he went with the weird book metaphor. Screams library more than strip club, but hey, I ain't judgin'....
Totally agree on Tommy Thayer's songs in last two albums. His are the worst. Also I do agree on Loney is the Hunter. That's not a song, that's a puke !

Kissing time-(Embarrassing) Goin’ Blind-(Not bad at all) Ladies in Waiting-(Boring) Great Expectations-(How this ended up on the album i’ll never know) Love ‘em & Leave ‘em-(Amazingly bad) Got Love for Sale-(And Gene’s streak continues..) X-Ray Eyes-(Wow.. Just.. Wow..) She’s so European-(Worst song on my least favorite Kiss album) Mr. Blackwell-(Torture) Keep Me Comin’-(Too much Paulsetto) All Hell’s Breakin’ Loose-(Not bad.. But.. Not Kiss for me) Murder in High Heels-(Burn Gene Burn) Radar for Love-(Why Paul... Why...) Bang Bang You-(Horrendous) Read My Body-(Worst song.. ever🤣) Tough Love-(Forgetable) As for the last 4 studio albums i never could get past 2 listens so can’t remember any of those songs😅 Revenge was the last album I enjoyed. 🎼🎸🥁
Until I got a copy of ALIVE! and read the songwriting credits I had always assumed Let Me Go Rock n Roll was a cover of a Chuck Berry tune or something like that.
Matt, I've been a Kiss fan since '76. I think you're spot on across the board. That said, while there are some good songs on Dynasty.. Dirty Livin' grew on me over the years. The demo was tougher, rougher, grittier (not just lyrically). And to be honest, the fact that it stands so far out from the rest of the tracks, well isn't that the point? Dynasty ultimately failed (from a perspective point of view) simply because Paul wanted to dive into disco and capitalize off that trend.. albeit his timing was horrible bc disco soared years earlier and died out by 1979 year end. For better or worse, I feel Dirty Livin' as a demo was more rock, less disco. Just didn't cut it on a disco album so they altered the time signature to create a disco track. Again, I see your POV. Definitely agree with you on the end result.
I love discussions like this. Let Me Go Rock and Roll is a great song, even better on Alive. I also have to stand up for Torpedo Girl. I think it is just good dumb fun.
This was a well done video, and even though I love most songs you’ve picked, I agree. Let me go rock and roll is one of my all time favorite songs because I appreciate it for what it is. A pure rock and roll song to jam and solo on. I just love that. I’m not a fan of flaming youth, but I would say great expectations is one of the few kiss songs I just can’t get behind. Dirty livin is another one of my favorites. The bassline is one of my favorites, but I was a fan of the disco era stuff. ~Torpedo girl has a fantastic bassline, I agree. Spit is just a crazy song. The musicality of it is really really cool and rocky to me. I would like to point out that carnival has some heartfelt stuff on it like you said, including childhoods end and I will be there. I would personally take raise your glasses or I’ve finally found my way to be worse. We are one is corny but I do love it. Monster and sonic boom suffer a lot because of gene in my opinion. I understand that’s his character but could there not be 100 sexual innuendoes per song? -I am a huge fan of Tommy, despite his tracks being subpar, he’s technical and by the books. I like that. All this is just my opinion of course and o do thought this was a well thought out list. Apologies for the long comment.

You said "kissin time"..... and I quit watching this BS. That song is fun!!!
Save your love and Hard Times are my favorite songs on Dynasty.
Hot In The Shade needs a remaster/remix badly.
Let me go rock n roll is a GREAT SONG...My favorite actually... especially live
About the only thing I agreed with here was And Then She Kissed Me and Odyssey. Flaming Youth is my favorite track on Destroyer.
Mine too. I would personally pick Beth or Great Expectations
For me, the worst song on Psycho Circus is hands down You Wanted The Best. Definitely not one of Gene's better outings
oh man, "Read my Body" is a top ten KISS song for me.... and im not joking
I left after he said "Let Me Go Rock n Roll" was the worst song on Hotter Than Hell!! Blaspheme!!
Let Me Go Rock And Roll is awesome on the Kiss Alive album.
I loved dirty living. Guess I am strange. Lol
So glad I own an OG version of the debut. I never even heard the offender until around 10 years ago.
In fact i do like their cover of and then she kissed me, the song i really dont like on love gun is tomorrow and tonight.
Ace is the best lyricist in the band. Flaming Youth is way better than Great Expectations

No, you’re thinking of Burn Bitch Burn. Or would that be Idioms? Well, most idioms are convoluted metaphors, so whatever.
I stopped buying KISS albums, yes albums, after Love Gun. Not because I didn’t like them anymore, just kinda outgrew them for awhile.
“Let me go rock n roll” was an awesome RnR “throwback “ that I always turned up on the stereo !
100% agree! Had all albums up to love gun. After that album, just out grew them I guess.
You lost me with Let me Go Rock n Roll. One of their best songs.
Ever.
spot on!
Love Mainline, the worst song on Hotter Than Hell is the title track to me.
1. Black Diamond (love this live)
2. Got to Choose
3. Love her all I can
4. Beth (never liked that)
5. Mr. Speed
6. Then she kissed me (like it)
7. Sure know Something
8. Shandie
9. Odyssey (but love it)
10 Keep me Comin‘
11. Lick it up
12. Heavens on Fire
13. Tears are Falling
Later Albums I never had until
Psycho Circus :
18. I finally find my way
My List ends here !
Mr Speed? Seriously! Kick ass riff on that one!
The kissin time is for a kissing competition.
I totally diagree on Flaming Youth, Getaway, Dirty Livin, Torpedo Girl, And On The 8th Day, Trial By Fire.
“We are One” isn’t good, but “I finally found my way” is a top 10 all time worst kiss song.
Shows you how different kiss fans are I love the song We Are One
@@billycain9890
me too, I love We Are One.. and I still agree I Finally Found My Way was fcking hot garbage (coming from someone who always enjoyed Peter in his prime- even own his mid 90s solo album that almost no one remembers)
I absolutely love Kissin' Time. They really sing their asses off on that one.
The one lyric that Gene got right on Animalize was "Girls love money, Like bees to honey" lonely is the hunter was one of his better ones, lol
“Music From The Elder” is their best album!!! “Odyssey” is a masterpiece!!! xoxo The Clarences
I am late to this thread... but, being a HUGE Kiss fan, I know almost every song by heart. And I agree with most of this... and I am impressed with the thought that went into this video. But, I still like most of the songs mentioned here.... Including "Then She Kissed Me". :)
Also... "My Way" is in my top ten Kiss songs. It is so uplifting
Umm..."Flaming Youth" ??!!.... Opinions are like.... well - you know.
not only does Gene sing "baby" a lot on Let me go rock n roll...but his bass guitar is saying it throughout the whole song.
There's a few Kiss albums that don't have a bad song at all in my opinion that's the debut Kiss album dress to kill creatures of the night and revenge and also rock and roll over
Getaway is a great song. Lyrics are weak I agree however. Never dug Ladies in Waiting.
Let me go Rock and Roll is an absolute banger. It’s a perfect party song, and is hands down one of their best live songs.
I would go with Great Expectations for worst on Destroyer. But it's not bad.
Flaming Youth, My Way and I Walk Alone are amazing songs.
Have to say Shandi is my most disliked Kiss song from the original 4
I think you are really underrating Gene. I have never really liked "him" as a person; however as a musician myself I will say he really gets ranked poorly and very undeservingly . Listen to Goin Blind, Let Me Know, and even Hard Luck woman. (Going Blind) especially--- these bass lines are killer. He very easily could play Torpedo Girl
Great video, however I love "torpedo girl"😊
Well I guess like he said it’s his opinion
Ace’s solo on ‘Kissin Time’ is superb. ‘Ladies in Waitin’ is the blandest 70s KISS imo. My favourite tracks on Dynasty and Unmasked are your least favourite. 😂 Each to their own. Thanks anyway.
Boomerang on Hot in the Shade is easily the worst on that album. And Burn Bitch Burn on Animalize
KIϟϟ - "Love Theme from Kiss"
Hotter Than Hell - "Goin' Blind"
Dressed to Kill - "Ladies in Waiting"
Destroyer - "Great Expectations"
Rock and Roll Over - "See You in Your Dreams"
Love Gun - "Christine Sixteen"
Alive II (Side Four) - "Rockin' in the U.S.A."
Paul Stanley - "Hold Me, Touch Me (Think of Me When We're Apart)"
Gene Simmons - "See You Tonite"

Unmasked - "Is That You?"
Music From "The Elder" - "Fanfare"
Killers (new tracks only) - "Down on Your Knees"
Creatures of the Night - "Killer"
Lick It Up - "Dance All Over Your Face"
Animalize - "Burn Bitch Burn"
Asylum - "Trial by Fire"
Crazy Nights - "Bang Bang You"
Hot in the Shade - "Read My Body"
Revenge - "Spit"
Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions - "I Walk Alone"
Psycho Circus - "Raise Your Glasses"
Sonic Boom - "Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect)"
Monster - "All for the Love of Rock & Roll"
Let me go rock and roll worst song on hotter than hell? my God man have you gone mad.
I stopped watching this at 5mins in, I’m a KISS fan and I love all they’re tunes. Got aggravated to hear that you chose Getaway as one of your worst KISS songs. Thank God this is your list I couldn’t watch anymore of this shit
1. Kissin time
2. Let me go
3. Two timer
4. Sweet pain
5. See you in your dreams
6. Almost human
7. Dirty livin
8. Torpedo girl
9. Odyssey
10. Danger
11. Gimme more
12. Murder in high heels
13. Any way you slice it
14. Bang bang you
15. Boomerang
16. Paralyzed
I use to not like Let Me Go Rock 'n Roll until I realized that Peter has many great drum fills throughout.
Torpedo Girl is vastly underrated.
I think that’s the fastest song KISS does. Under 3 minutes ?
It's great on Kiss Alive.
My worst-list:
Love theme from Kiss (Love it though)
Let me go rock and roll (Killer track on "Alive!")
She
Beth
I want you (An absolute killer on "Alive II")
Then she kissed me
Hold me, touch me
Tunnel of love
Tossin' and turnin'
New York groove
Save your love
Tomorrow
Mr Blackwell
Keep me comin'
Lick it up
While the city sleeps
Radar for love
Bang bang you
Boomerang
Thou shalt not
I walk alone
Within

Kissing time is one of my favorites
I love a lot of your least favorites. Dirty Livin', Trial by Fire, My Way, and Read My Body are catchy as fuck
Ya these are kinda weird picks because they’re all pretty good 🤷🏻♂️
Pretty cool list! The kiss nerd in me must point out a few differences in opinion... great expectations, baby driver, hooligan, burn bitch burn, radar for love, you wanted the best are the worst tracks on their respective albums IMO
Hmmm, guess you haven't heard Beth...
1. Kissin’ Time 2.Comin' Home 3. Getaway 4. Sweet Pain
5. Baby Driver 6. Love for Sale 7. Hard Times 8. What Makes The World Go 'Round
9. Odyssey 10. Keep Me Comin' 11. Young and Wasted 12. Get All You Can Take
13. Love's a Deadly Weapon 14. No, No, No 15. Boomerang 16. Spit
17. In The Mirror 18. You Wanted The Best 19. Danger Us 20. Last Chance
Bob Halligan Jr wrote "some heads are gonna roll" by Judas Priest. That elevates him above all the styles and songs you named here.
On COTN, I actually like Saint and Sinner. The song I couldn’t, and still can’t stand to this day is I Still Love You. He put absolutely no effort into that chorus.
How bout that Sonic Boom dog shit greatest hits package lol
WHAT? You chose Getaway? Not cool man. But hey, to each his own
There are no bad songs on Hotter Than Hell or Dressed To Kill….What’s yer problem
KISS eponymous - Love Theme From KISS
Hotter Than Hell - Mainline
Dressed to Kill - Rock Bottom
Destroyer - Sweet Pain
R&R Over - Baby Driver
Love Gun - Love for Sale
Dynasty - Save your Love
Unmasked - every track. If I had to pick a favourite it would be Torpedo Girl.
Creatures - Rock and Roll Hell
HITS - Silver Spoon
Revenge- Tough Love. Spit rules lol
Psycho Circus - that stupid ballad that Peter sings
Sonic Boom - Stand
Monster - Long Way Down
Kiss - Black Diamond
Hotter Than Hell - Let Me Go, Rock ‘n’ Roll

Crazy Nights - When Your Walls Come Down
Hot in the Shade - boomerang
Revenge - Domino (Unplugged version much better)
Psycho Circus - I Finally Found My Way
Sonic Boom - Say Yeah
Monster - Freak
Also none of these are based on the lyrics, if you started analysing Kiss lyrics most songs would make the list.
KISS: KISSIN`TIME
HOTTER THAN HELL: ALL THE WAY
DRESSED TO KILL: ANYTHING FOR MY BABY
DESTROYER: SWEET PAIN
ROCK AND ROLL OVER: SEE YOU IN YOUR DREAMS

HOT IN THE SHADE: BOOMERANG
REVENGE: PARALYZED
CARNIVAL OF SOULS: IT NEVER GOES AWAY
PSYCHO CIRCUS: I FINALLY FOUND MY WAY
SONIC BOOM: NEVER ENOUGH
MONSTER: ALL FOR THE LOVE OF ROCK AND ROLL
Whenever I watch RUclips videos where people give opinions I always take those opinions with a grain of salt, but I do like this guy and his sense of humor. I also love the fact that he's doing his very best Casey Kasem impersonation.
Anything Peter Criss does is the worst song on the album.
Saint and Sinner is one of my faves. I love the drums.
I cringe when I hear a kiss fan that got into them first time in the 80s and totally don’t get the 70s.
dude....Saint and Sinner is maybe the best song on COTN
Eric's drumming is awesome on S&S.
True, but then again, the worst song on Creatures Of The Night is like being the most gifted kid on the short bus.
I LOVE SaS, the melodic guitar parts and Gene's voice when he cries out in various ways sounds so visceral and wicked and beautiful.
The best kiss song will always be "don't tug my ascot"
I just love the cringe of Read My Body. Paul clearly wanted to do his version of Pour Some Sugar On Me, but instead of making it sexy like that song he went with the weird book metaphor. Screams library more than strip club, but hey, I ain't judgin'....
Guess what.. I disagree with every song you've picked except that horrible cover on Love Gun
Totally agree on Tommy Thayer's songs in last two albums. His are the worst. Also I do agree on Loney is the Hunter. That's not a song, that's a puke !
Enjoyed your list😃
At least we agree on Read my Body🤣🤣
Here’s mine if you want some painfull reminders!
Kissing time-(Embarrassing)
Goin’ Blind-(Not bad at all)
Ladies in Waiting-(Boring)
Great Expectations-(How this ended up on the album i’ll never know)
Love ‘em & Leave ‘em-(Amazingly bad)
Got Love for Sale-(And Gene’s streak continues..)
X-Ray Eyes-(Wow.. Just.. Wow..)
She’s so European-(Worst song on my least favorite Kiss album)
Mr. Blackwell-(Torture)
Keep Me Comin’-(Too much Paulsetto)
All Hell’s Breakin’ Loose-(Not bad.. But.. Not Kiss for me)
Murder in High Heels-(Burn Gene Burn)
Radar for Love-(Why Paul... Why...)
Bang Bang You-(Horrendous)
Read My Body-(Worst song.. ever🤣)
Tough Love-(Forgetable)
As for the last 4 studio albums i never could get past 2 listens so can’t remember any of those songs😅
Revenge was the last album I enjoyed.
