Bill Aucoin saw the potential in the band along with the bigger picture. In his eyes it wasn't a gamble, it was an investment.
..and here we are 50yrs later.

In their early days both Geme & Paul both respected & looked up to Peter because he was the member with the most experience.
Unlike Gene & Paul both Ace & Peter were both on albums released prior to joining "KISS"
If anybody wants to know what G & P sounded like before forming "KISS" with
Ace & Peter, just listen to their "Wicked Lester" album which is totally gay without balls.
      As time moves on
Gene & Paul will continue to re-write history also known as "KISSTORY"
They continue to put down and minimize both Ace & Peter's roles in the band along with their contributions.
Gene & Paul turned into businessmen
Ace & Peter were and will always be tbe only 2 rock-stars in "KISS"

    Sean Delaney was Bill's partner.
It was Sean that convicted Bill to go and see them.
It was also Sean that put their show together and worked on their stage presence.
He was the 5th member. Look him up. He wrote a book called Hell Box. Rest in peace Sean!!

Kiss's 1st (6) studio albums were really good_ They only ever got close to the likes of that material on Creatures of the Night (82) & Animalize (84) - IMO_ they had some good tracks on a few other albums, but those (8) albums are great start to finish

Wild Bill from Quebec found his financial windfall in KISS. Outside of his rampant alt-sexual obsessions and his self-filtering of the KISS band financial flood of the late 70s. Aucoin was pivotal in making KISS legendary. The 70s were a time that made 'heritage bands' in the 21st century beloved and in-concert revenue generators. Without Aucoin KISS would have ended in the early 80s.

I've followed Kiss since mid-70s, when we sucked in ALL information about them as we could in Sweden...
I've always known that mr Aucoin was a GREAT part of their success, and Kiss themselves says so in their biographies...
Heres my point: mr Aucoin gave it ALL to the band... He risked everything!!! Why? I don't think It's that easy to say that he thought Kiss would make him a Millionaire... I think It's just because he loved the guys - and hearing him talk...? Yupp, he loved his boys, and went the extra mile for them...
And notice how he speaks: When he qoutes Pete, Paul and Gene, he speaks in his natural voice... But when he quote the "problem child" Ace, his voice changes... It reaches a higher pitch and mimics Aces voice...
That just tells me, Ace actually was his "favourite son", the one he maybe held closest to his heart - like so many of us do...
Aaaaaah, hope you get my point...
    Thanx for sharing 🙏
    Love from Sweden 💖

This is actually boring!!! It's simple, they were on top of the world 🌎 from 74-77!!! 78 was when Peter and Ace were tired of constant touring and wanted to do solo albums, and the ridiculous Phantom of the Park movie bullshit!!! That is what really ruined the Kiss momentum, then Dynasty??? Lol 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Peter and Ace said this disco bullshit, nope!!!!

    • @HappyMachorino-bd8no
      @HappyMachorino-bd8no 3 месяца назад

As we all know Peter made a heavy disco-influenced song too: "Dirty Livin'". On Dynasty.
And Ace loved the 💲for his work on "I Was Made for Lovin' You".
With Paul's song they all made the most money.
And instead of "disco" Ace made again a cover song!
But Dynasty is still a great album. And you should be glad for every album we have with the original four. "Dynasty" is great! And KISS Meets The Phantom..." is funny.

    • @kevinchandler179

It looks like Eric Carr was manipulated by Ace. Watching the very first interview when they introduced Eric Carr,
I noticed how Ace was totally drunk and made the band ridiculous. Eric did the same!
Ace had a bad influence. Eric made fun of Gene's "A World Without Heroes". Look at Gene! How angry he was.
"A World Without Heroes" is one of the most beautiful Gene songs.
And Eric, the new member, was publicly disrespectful. This was disgusting. Instead of blaming Paul I also see realistically Eric's illoyality and even impertinent behaviour. Already in the first interview. Nevertheless Eric (RIP) was a great drummer.
