    Literally every game
    "I'm going to play the [weird name] gambit"
    Opponent is surprised
    Eric winning
    "What to do....hmmmm there's this move...I don't know if it works but it looks like so much fun"
    Eric losing
    Eric losing more
    Flags with 5 seconds left

    After 11. Kf7 why not Ng5+? After Kg8 you can play Ne6 or something, queen has to go to e8 or else you capture the bishop and then the knight with your queen. If Qe8 you can play something like Nc7

    • @Erin-ks4jp
      @Erin-ks4jp 4 года назад

      Instead of Qe8, after which Nc7, it is better to just move the knight on e7 which forces the capture of the bishop. This causes some trades which take the pressure away from black's king - that pressure is the primary advantage that white has in the position as black has to play very precisely to avoid mate. After the trades, black can develop and all of the compensation for the gambitted pieces is gone - black just has a crushing material advantage.
      In contrast, Bg5 keeps that pressure, and forces black to keep defending very precisely.

    This 'Nakhmanson Gambit' (Copyright Infringement) has been known and considered harmless for decades, it has been analysed by well known Chess authors: Victor Bologan; Erwin L'Ami; Yakov EStrin; Martin Lokander; Alexander Beliavski; Adrian Mikhalchishin to name but a few and for any serious OTB (Over the Board) player that has the Two Knight's Defence in their repertoire knows that 6...Nxc3 [1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d4 exd4 5.0-0 Nxe4 6.Nc3 Nxc3! 7.bxc3 d5] gives Black a very comfortable and easy to play game, there is no need to get into all the messiness of 6..dxc3 unless you are playing correspondence chess or analysed the position beforehand. Please do not mislead your general audience into believing that all these rubbishy gambits have a future beyond blitz & bullet, tell them the truth that this stuff is only for those that play for fun and not for improvement. I saw your matches in the IM Not A GM Speed Chess Challenge and you didn't dare play any of the foolishness you often promote in streams against your peers of equal strength.
    Some aspiring and inexperienced players browse these streams, see that you are an IM playing this stuff and get the impression that these weird & wacky gambits are to be taken seriously, you should remind and advise them that you are simply providing entertainment and having fun but objectively this is not the way to go if they want to raise their playing strength. Be a trustworthy source of chess information.

    • @eldritch43
      @eldritch43 4 года назад

      I've been playing it for years in online blitz. Both nxc3 and nd6 on move 6 or 7 are very decent for black. Dxc3 is very compliced and is pretty poor choice from a practical perspective.
