I love how impressed he is with the stafford lines
I played this for a bit a couple months ago but didnt know the lines and lost too many games,
I eventually came back to it and now I dont even like playing as white

Interesting and funny gambit! ...But, in my opinion, the move 5.Nc3 compromises White's play. After: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nxe5 Nc6 4Nxc6 dxc6 5.d3! (NOT 5.Nc3), White has nothing to fear. The maneuver Pc2-c3 and Pd3-d4 is imminent, with definitive closure of the diagonal g1-a7.

At 4:00, Pawn can go to h2 Check. White king is forced to move to one of two squares. Then Black bishop to h3 and that will either be check or a threat on the rook. Etc.

Even before learning the Stafford id never take the pawn then knight, but especially after learning Stafford front and back I'd NEVER play into it as white for this reason. This gm still almost won against Eric though even with 35 mate threats. Impressive
