25:43 this game was insane. Forgetting that you’ve beserked with only :30 seconds left in an evenish position when he’s at 2:30… and then cleanly getting a win with almost all premoves.. great.
All this whole video proved to me is that Eric plays better without thinking than i ever would with hours to contemplate. Also: he unironically plays better when rushed.
I would say he plays more creatively than better. Because when he has time he plays more cautiously and doesn't take risks. When there is no time there is nothing to lose. :]
At 26:44 he missed Ng5 though, threatening to take the locked bishop and Black can’t take back with the king bc of the rook discovery, and Black’s rook on f8 is trapped. He could have had an endgame with a rook up rather than a pawn up.
At 16:59 Eric said "I could have been in a lot of trouble there" as he was missing Qf7 mate. At the end of the game he must of read it "did I miss mate in one?" BUT he could have forced mate several times after it missing mate in two several times even as his opponent knew and was trying to get away from the mate in two sacrificing all his pieces for the life of his king. How noble.

So many iconic games, from the budapest knight gambit to the epic finale (that still counts in our hearts, Eric, even though it might not count for the tournament). Absolutely love these, they are so much fun!
Let me guess... you were kidnapped, and the kidnapper said that you will be released if Eric posts an all-gambit tournament video in the next hour, so you ended up getting out alive?

Ok so it just go missed by both players, got it Interesting how someone as bad as me noticed it (still had to gao back and pause since I wasn't sure), time pressure really does the game when playing blitz
It was honestly painful seeing him miss it twice. I felt sorry for white as being up a piece and a queen against a titled player even in blitz should be enough to win.
Eric if you see this, I'd love to see you do a youtube video on the grand prix opening! In the video, you said it's nice to play in fast chess, and that's the best kind imo

Or if not, the knights seem to give some kind of spirit to the position on a emotional level. Anyone else sharing this knightsperience?
Offering a draw in a losing position is bad sportsmanship and somehow also an insult to the opponent's intelligence. It's as if they imply that Eric is incapable of seeing that the position is winning.
every time an opponent refuses Eric's Stafford gambit despite it being an utterly bad position for black I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad. I guess it's great that his reputation precedes him and scares people into bad moves but it's sad that we don't get to see a wild Stafford game
The disparity between Eric's calm demeanour and his unhinged aggression on the chess board is one of the great paradoxes of our time.

Favorite game was definitely the "oops I dropped a piece" gambit opening followed by frantic play until "I'm up a pawn, how did that happen?"
"And now you're winning, how did you do that?" -Levy
Crazy because eric blundered his queen on move 20 and 21 but his opponent didn't see it lol
True haha idk how I forgot about that one xD.
i love when he scream THE ROOOOK in lowercase 1:20:36

Always super happy when a new vid drops. You're like the most chill dude on RUclips

Got lucky at 1:11:26 - Be6+ would have picked up your queen!
Eric’s videos are the only thing on the internet that calms me down. Love this guy
Alternative titles: “Watch Eric play in time trouble”
Or
“Watch Eric outpost knights.”
The opening on 1:18:00 the rooookkk I sometimes play, and honestly it works 9/10 times once taking the knights. Love it!
Always a joy to watch! Win or lose, it's good stuff to study.

At 1:11:26 isn't Eric's queen hanging, for several moves, if white's light-square bishop gives a check on E6 with a discovered attack from the rook?
Yeah it does, lol
I love seeing all these aggressive openings work out for Eric! Any time I try to play like this I end up gambiting my king ._.

You are the only chessplayer I can Watch for this long
1:10:19 The Rosen Variation of the Budapest Gambit was introduced in this tournament. It eventually wins a pawn by force...
At 1:11:50 why was bishop e6 not played? Wouldn’t white win blacks queen with a discovered attack? Or am I missing something.
Those games were crazy Eric great content. Well done on your win
My favorite game of course this hilarious knight sack for a modern budapest glorious impro!!! Thanks for the good content!
I just spilled my water all over the place watching that last game...
Bravo ! Congrats on another great win !
Love it! Classical Eric Rosen madness
Rosen saying 'Reese's Pieces' all of a sudden made my day lol

Poor Blitzek, thought he had it in the bag. Eric never played him, but he's the one who ultimately got Berserked 😆

1:31:10 was awesome
Final game was epic though it was not counted.. And the budapest gambit with piece odd was also very very satisfying..👏👏👏
1:11:27 --- why doesn't the opponent play the light-square bishop check and win the queen plus other tactics?

At 58:52 why not g6 and qh7# or qh8#?? Why is f6 different from f5?
After fxe5+ it's difficult to see if Eric can get his king safe. I haven't really analysed, but more Black checks are coming.
