Would be funny if Eric created chapters for this video and all them named like "ANOTHER stafford gambit!"
done!
@@eric-rosen 😂
@@eric-rosen this is amazing!!!

YES
"It's even better than Christmas; it's a thematic Stafford tournament"
I laughed my ASS off when he said that, never change Eric.
2:15 btw lol
nothing better than Christmas
He just looks so convincingly shocked I couldn't help but click.
I understood that reference
@@MrLikon7 me too, nice.
@@MrLikon7 ı understood that reference
@@MrLikon7 thank you this brings me joy
Eric pogging
It’s like a grown man showed up at a kid’s birthday party and ate all the cake.
on god this comment made me spit my water at keyboard
imagine joining this tournament and your first opponent is the Stafford Gambit Guy
Yeah if I joined a Stafford Gambit tournament and saw Eric Rosen himself as my opponent I'd just probably resign because regardless of how winning it looks he has probably studied it to that point.
@@hammurabitheawesome674 *plays a safe line that I know is +1 for white*
Eric: There's a cool line here...
@@hammurabitheawesome674 if you resign you won't learn anything
Then Imma gambit my Stafford... and probably along with my Elo..
Most people: "Oh i lost a pawn"
Eric: "I gained an open file"
Definition of positive thinking
It's like Hikaru put a blueberry pie on the windowsill to lead Eric over.
I actually lol’d at this and pictured Eric floating on a wafted scent
Eric so polite about the engine cheat - "That was very funny. Some of that play was funny. What a funny game."
"I'm looking forward to being Black" - Eric Rosen 2021
Oh, that sweet, sweet n-word pass
"Hey im black again"
"Dammit I'm black"
´i´m playing a strong player, at least i´m white´
@@falquicao8331 the near anything pass
21:30 is the coldest time scramble I've ever seen. Eric taking all of the poor dude's pieces with one bishop
I know this comment is a year old but i just saw that and it was so savage 😂
Im a simple man. I see Eric Rosen. I see Stafford Gambit. I click

I like how every time there's an ad in Eric's video, I have to lower my volume like literally from 100% to 20%
same xD
RUclips ads really suck
I literally have to install an extension to boost the sound, I have it at 100% 3x boost to hear him
Imagine not using an ad blocker
Just install ad-blocker
"I want to start pushing the thingys"
see, even eric rosen forgets what pawns are called
"Oh no, my bishop!" = trap
"D'oh! My bishop!" = +3
A group of men are huddled around the table, a stillness unlike any other pervading the air around them. Their eyes all focus on a map centred on the table with various different cities and markers depicted on it. None of them move, lest they break the intense focus they had built. They are the last defence.
A mutter, barely audible, breaks the silence like a bullet to a window.
'There's a funny line...'
true
LMAO this comment is epic
I’m gonna say underrated for the first time in my life, because this is truly underrated. God I hate myself right now
Fuckin beautiful

"For those confused you can google En Passant"
Eric saying that with a straight face makes it so much better lol
Holy hell
46:50 Imagine knowing an opening so well you can recognise engine moves instantly.
Yup and that account is suspended go figure. It’s nice he has code phrases like “a weird game”
"For those saying it's a square, it's three dimensional because it survived through time." Had me laughing out loud.
yes this is very semantic...i think most things 2d survive through time, hence most things 2d are 3d, unless you define 2d as purely abstract concept, since all things have some width
@@ziggypi4813 Its kind of a smart joke, he is probably talking spacetime which is 4D.
Technically it would need the same length in the time dimension as in the spatial dimensions to be a cube.
@@negativeseven So 2 pawn seconds?
@@domogdeilig = 2 prawn lifetimes
31:00 imagine trying to protect your soldiers and being called pointless by someone while he's drinking his tea
The rook vs 5 pawns endgame was a really instructive example, nice technique!
Almost blundered a rook, but that probably makes it even more instructive.
@@felixmerz6229 shows what to watch out for
Kind of think his opponent messed up in that game letting a pawn pass that shouldn’t have look like Eric was beat maybe they like him too much
Your Stafford prep might be impressive but your flagging skills are next level
29:55 "For those saying it's a square: It's 3 dimensional because it survived through time."
By that logic you've been defeating quite a few 2D opponents lately
Being honest I'm not sure wheter Eric was joking there
@@MrUwU-dj7js he was definitely joking
love the timestamps really helpful cause i actually only wanted to see the stafford gambit games
52:18 that pokerface when you're about to report your opponent for cheating
eric literally talks in lowercase, unlike many other youtubers. love it
Eric explaining that the pawn cube is a cube (and not a square) because it survived through time is top tier chess knowledge. This is the kind of info that IM's and GM's don't typically give an insight into.

It was super instructive seeing this gambit played multiple times against various different ideas, thanks!
Stafford Gambit tournament: exists
Eric Rosen: Is this paradise?
People should fear your name in a Stafford tourney.😂
4:20 "Duck or Quack?"
Eric: "I'd say both."
lol I love how Eric is so insanely conflict avoiding.
Agreed quack~
Me: There's a funny line... Tries it and instantly blunders a piece.
21:28 best series of premoves since hikaru premoved an entire game
Eric: Hikaru, You dare use my own spells against me?
The Pawn Cube survives for a cube-shaped amount of time
This is awesome. I've been taking notes from your recent Stafford gambit video from a few days ago. This video is the perfect sequel.
I love that every timestamp is "Another Stafford Gambit"
This was done due to a funny comment, its now the top comment
"This will be dirty, young children close your eyes." LOL
The unattainable luxury of "oh, that's mate already"
Can we take a moment to appreciate the time stamps he provided?

Past Eric from Twitch, I'm from Portugal, I had the pleasure of meeting you in person when you came to a tournament and (Eric Hansen was also there). It truly was an honor to meet you in person. I love your channel and I really like the Stafford gambit. It's a delight to see you playing it against strong opponents. Wishing you all the best ;)

Watching from the future! Buenos Aires, Argentina. Big fun! Thanks for the content Eric!
21:29 was such a filthy sequence
absolutely dusted that man
13:37 : "Let me know where you're from" I'm from France, like your content and LOVED what you've done on this tournament 😂
Hello from Texas, love your videos. So relaxing for me to watch since I get so jittery playing chess
This is easily my favorite stream of yours. Cheers!
"What's your connection to Indonesia I heard you speak Bahasa (Indonesian language)"
"Oh really that's cool"

that sent me when I heard it
"The more pawns I lose, the more open files I gain" You GOTTA make that into a t-shirt! xD
When I first started getting into chess, my first lessons were on RUclips. You and Ben Finegold were my favorite lectures. Thank you Eric for all you've done for our entertainment and growth in the game .
Toward the end of a hyper stressful week at work. Watched this video over lunch. Now feeling a calm-confidence that I haven't known since Monday afternoon.
13:30 Buenos Aires, Argentina! I love your videos Eric!
Watching from Atlanta. Thanks for all the great content you are my favorite chess streamer/youtuber!
29:17 "It's so cubular" - I loved that old Mike Oldfield album about this called "Cubular Bells".
I live for how much eric loves the stafford
You are by far my favorite chess player Eric, so fun to watch
Hikaru missed an opportunity to name the tournament "The Stafford Chess Experiment" (Much love from Romania btw since you asked

Hello from Syria, enjoyable time watching you play Stafford.
hello from florida! I hope you're having a great day Mr Rosen! ty for another awesome video. :)
The timestamp captions are exactly what I like to see. "Another Stafford Gambit"
21:25 that Bishop brought me back to "The Matrix" scene, when Neo started believing himself
21:30 "He made all the wrong pre-moves, I made all the right pre-moves; I feel so accomplished." LOL
46:55 "I remember this is one of the engine ideas" lmfao
Eric "there's a funny line" Rosen :) the best!
From Colorado! But I live in Japan. I appreciate that you taught me the Stafford gambit but I don’t appreciate that you simultaneously taught everyone else!
In terms of top-tier merch, "It's better than Christmas, it's a thematic Stafford gambit tournament!" would make for an amazing t-shirt, mug, hoodie combo. I'd pay top dollar for that!
I love how the video has segments for each match but they're all titled "Another Stafford Gambit"
"It's three-dimensional, because survives through time"... Eric trying to defend that is a cube (cause sounds cooler) and ending saying without noticing that is actually a tesseract :P
Watching from Japan. Love the content!
@eric San Diego loves your content man! Been using the Stafford on my fellow 1100’s, it’s too easy
"The more pawns I lose, the more open files I gain" should be an inspirational poster
Eric's cheeky grin as he gatecrashes... 🙂
Hey Eric and twitch chat! I'm from (old) South Wales in the UK. Really enjoying your vids! :)
You have a great relaxed playing style but you’re a great player and confident I find games stressful at times competitive hate losing wish I could have your coolness about it all

I’ve now fell in love with the Stanford gambit
looking to play the stafford gambit. lucky you have time stamps! phew almost missed it !
I like the idea of a c4 opening or g3 opening tournament since those seem to be some of the most even moves for white.
Whoa... 1 hour+ video for the fourth consecutive day... Oh.. no.. my time😂😂
What were the other videos were they as instructive as this?
21:44 is the most evil laugh i’ve heard from the most humble man in the world
Watching from brazil, watched some bits of the stream too. Your games with Hikaru are coming as a separate video?

It's sad that eric didn't get to play hikaru because someone defeated him with engine... At least he took his revenge at the end
Eric should write a book titled "How to win on time with the Stafford Gambit".
