the only game I've seen where a king prevents the other to castle.
@esp ele ??
🤣🤣🤣
@esp ele Idiot
@esp ele is English your first language?
Even if the white king wasn't on b7, the black king still can't castle through check.
This game had it all:
- There's a funny line
- It's actually playable
- This looks scary
- Don't hurt me
- Oh no my rating points
And from analysis:
- Fork passant
- Forced mate in 16
gg Eric!
*oh dear
when I was playing with my older brother I won but he had forced checkmate in 16 too xD
All but his greatest “oh no my Queen!”
Stockfish: *shows mate in 16*
Rosen: "ok that's hard to calculate"
Don't forget a king disallowing the other king to castle
Rosen would call the corner of the board “the intersection of the edges”
I half expected him to call it a vertex.
Came to the comments for exactly this
Rosen: e5
Opponent: e6
Rosen: Oh there’s a funny line here
"I'm calculating mate in 57 here let's see...."
That would be a funny line. Waiting for someone else to notice.
@@PandaFan2443 Not sure if original comment did that on purpose lol
Wouldn’t it be e4 e5?
@@Amoeba_Podre Rosen does not obey the laws of chess
It's insane that the line at 21:40 is a draw. The computer is a monster.
King being safe on the opposite side of the board is the most hilarious thing I seen 😂
That was hilarious indeed
The most dangerous place is also the safest place 😂
In the end: "If you have questions, Stockfish can probably answer them."
The Opponent after playing Qxd6: There is a funny line which is even more complicated...
"Let me know if you watched whole thing"
Eric, you're probably the only person on RUclips who's videos I never skip a single part of.
22:36 I remember suggesting in Twitch Chat “En Forkssant” as a possible name for this unique En Passant Check Fork. I love these funny and crazy lines and much love to Adfost for showing all of us (and Eric) the Traxler. Best of luck to them achieving the National Master Title, Adfost definitely deserves it!
Opponent was well prepared against the Rosen Trap
14:44 You tried to castle with your opponent's rook. LOL
I loved the term " fork passant "😂😂
I think "En passork" also would have been a worthy contestant.
@@davidbohnert1432 en passork lol🤣🤣
"Ok, i have two seconds left", Eric calmly talk to the chat
Props to adfost8, that was really well played
The king said:
Stand back I’m going in
Absolutely watched the whole thing! What a game. Good stuff to adfost. Thanks for including some analysis and showing that mate in 16. Craziness
Its funny how the king is much safer in Black's territory
Can't take your own pawns :)
And the opponent looking for a mate near his own home area as opposed to your area was strange.
16:55 was expecting black to play Qb7, Ka1 only legal move. Then Bd6, but white also has loads if counterplays
its actually mate in 11 after Bd6
@@lcker6973 mate for white I presume
@@yanki1224 White gets mated
Qb6*
@@duesexmachina6570 still tricky though, without perfect moves, black will lose queen
lmao that king who traps the rook, amazing xD
I watched the whole thing! Good to see you picking up other aggressive openings!
How it started: "I was forced to play against a traxler gambit"
How it's going:
"wish my king a safe journey" i died
22:40 that's the legendary "en passork" tatic
Watched the whole thing. Very cool. Thanks again!
On move 15 I really liked the idea of bishop back to c4, giving back the knight! after bxc3 bxc3 you win a tempo on the knight and open up a route for developing your dark squared bishop. I could easily be missing some tactics though.
Great video, Eric, thanks. I really enjoyed it - good fun and a few laughs, too.
WOW! Amazing game. I have new respect for this line now. Thanks for sharing the game Eric.
I watched the whole thing
High Quality content keep it up! :)
3:34 a check given and u retreating the bishope threating to fork looked good with ideas of b3
Learned a tonne from you Eric, Keep it up!!!
Instead of Be2+, Qb5+ looks like a killer move at 12:36
Eric, I’m disappointed you didn’t see the mate in 16… smh
Could you please tell me how
@@tahirmirza4530 jokes
If there was a variant of chess that you can only play gambits, Eric would be a super-GM.
5:30
the word corner: exists
Eric: intersection of the edges
i made it all the way through :) . great series of videos!
never have I seen Rosen struggle this much in a chess game. 'Twas fun to watch!
Play this dude more. These are awesome. Watched the whole thing!
Honestly you are so funny. I was dying of laughter around minute 14:00 onwards lol. You have such a good personality, don't tell gothamchess (who I really I enjoy) but I find you more entertaining
I played this a lot growing up and never knew it had a name until I saw Levy's video series on it. Its chaos
25:00 That graph looks like every game I've ever played
Lmao yooo you had me cliff hangered all the way, good vid bro
The last time I was on a roller coaster of this caliber was at Universal Studios 20 years ago
With the position at 11:55 in this game from Aug 22nd, what was the reason for not considering playing the knight from C3 to A4?
Thanks for the great content. You're the GOAT, Eric.
4:12 Black had the opportunity to play bishop to e2, to which if queen takes, the black knight forks the queen and the rook.
I don't see any forks with the knight, but instead you can just take the queen with the knight right away? So the queen wouldn't take the bishop probably. It would still be very dangerous for white but I don't see the fork you are referring to
“ I feel like Nigel Short but slightly taller” 😭😭😭
5:07 ok, i'm not going to be looking at chat.... spends 20 seconds looking at chat and thanking people
i´ve only seen this part, where are the other ones? nevermind found them in the description.
i love these traxler videos
White king: lemme cast real quic-
Black king: nah-uh-uh not today
This is one of the most interesting games I have watched
25:30 Hey, I watched the whole thing.
Really cool game I watched the whole thing and want more
Hi Eric, great game. Do you think you could do a Traxler with 5.Bxf7+ line? thanks
16:58 isn't QB6 just checkmate? That was the whole point of blocking the bishop on the previous move with the pawn, no?
Unless I am stupid, White can play Kxa6 after Qb6
Qb6 Kxa8 Bd6 Ba4+ Kf8 Rhf1+ Kg8 Nc6 and the king is safe in the corner. Black could have secured a draw with Qb6 though.
King take rook
actually I just looked at the line with SF and Kd8 instead of Kf8 in my line would indeed be winning for black. I guess he might have missed that and that's why he didn't pick Qb6+
@@benb4728 Except Kd8 instead of Kf8 and its forced mate
Love too see you playing the Traxler more often! Its currently my favorite opening
The problem is you r never getting it on high ratings
Good thing I’m stuck at 1000
what happens if in 12th move, black goes Qd7 with an idea of Qf5+ and later if allowed Ne2+ (VERY CLOSE TO MATE)?
Ooooh! That move came quickly.
that was really amazing, thanks
That King Walk - Rook trap was epic!
The chess game where the king decides to turn Viking and try to take care of things himself.
Made it so far: Would have liked to see the analysis of the previous game.
the best move by black before d5 when white doesn't take the bishop is Bb6 and then d5
That was a blast to watch!👍🏻
How could we not watch the whole thing when yesterday was such a cliffhanger?
27 ..Qb6+ would that not have been a bdetter move for black, sacrifcing the rook and getting the dark bishop into attack for mate?
Crazy game, that was awesome!!
I was surprised...expected a dirty stalemate !
Fun game.
What should be my puzzle rating? How to calculate expected puzzle rating?
Eric goes quantum: "My king is randomly really safe".
When an IM is struggling against an opponent he's up 6:2 against, then the opening is probably pretty good.
Wonder if playing Qf5 on 15:23 as black is a good move. It prevents Kxa8 because of mate in one with Qc8. And if king is not taking the rook I would probably play Qc8 next move anyway.
He had so many opportunities to trap black's dark squared bishop
I was sure during the game that queen b6 check would lead to a checkmate.. Didn't think it was gonna be in 16..but it apparently gets dragged out with spite checks and sacs.
Traxler Gambit: Oh no my queen and time!
Que buena partida!,me gusta el contraataque traxler,Saludos.
That's so insane you trapped his rook on a8 with your king
so glad to see all 3 traxlers in a row =)
3:26 Worst cast scenario.. I lose instantly.
The king was like "I will do it myself"
It's rare that I see Eric actually almost bamboozled by a position. In fairness, the engine struggles to evaluate this too. Amazing play by both sides.
It’s the traxler fun fact the man did everything right, gothamchess made a same vid and he said in a perfect world it would go like this, and it went exactly how it the man Eric played against went😂😂😂😂
Watch the video, the dude Eric played against did the exact same moves as the video said like legit exact😂😂 he must’ve watched the video and memorised it
Levy literally said if your opponent knows what he just played then he either must of used an engine or watched his vid so Eric might also need to check his lichess acc to see if he’s using an engine or he’s just a diehard gothamchess fan who knows his stuff😂
done all the way, great , so tricky
1:11 after Qxd6, instead of playing d3, why can't the knight on h8 be moved to f7? It is protected by the bishop and attacks the queen! Depending on where the queen moves, knight can then jump to g5 or capture the pawn on e5. Or white can play any other move after the queen moves.
I was thinking the same xd
Let's go traxler trailer time the picture is still left
At 9:25, after Black plays ...b5, try countering with b4, which prevents Black from advancing his pawn to that square. If Black plays Qxb4, White can now counter with Rb1, which attacks the queen and piles up on Black's b5 pawn, nullifying that threat. And if Black does NOT play Qxb4, then the queen has to move to a square where it cannot protect both its b5 and e5 pawns.
Fun game. What at march by the King.
"En forksant". Nice games. :)
25:32 LMAO
This game has so many puzzles in it
Proof that completely giving up king safety for material gain early on is an uphill battle at best.
on 27... Rb8+ isnt Qb6+ Kxa8 Bd6 leading to mate? unless i’m missing something?
You crushed this guy
When b5 was played, what stopped him from playing b4?
How do you use an engine in chess online.. seems like it would be great way to learn.. I play a little on we chess but I don't know how to use it.
This game was way over my head.
In move 27 you can play Rhf1 followed by Ba4.
Rb8 was the brilliant move for checkmate?
Why didn’t you put the pawn at g2 at g3?
This is the coolest game I ever seen
