Jesus is love. Jesus loves our Hindu brothers and sisters. Jesus loves our Chinese brothers and sisters, especially those who use their tools to try and ease the suffering of others. There is nothing in Chinese medicine about indoctrinating patients or practitioners. There are practitioners of TCM who are devout Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Siikhs, Hindus, orthodox Jews, athiests, and more. If it doesn't feel right to you, that's fine, you don't have to do it. But you should not dissuade others from receiving care which can help them greatly and does nothing to threaten their spiritual salvation.

Thank you, Jason, for taking the time to respond to this interview. I’d like to share a couple of observations with you. First of all, you’re absolutely correct in saying that Jesus loves our Chinese and Hindu brothers and sisters. He loves everyone! He warned us in Matt. 24 not to be deceived. As a practitioner of TCM, which is based on spiritism, astrology, and divination (all of which are forbidden by God--see Deut. 18:10-14; Is. 47:13-15), I was deceived. When these things were brought to my attention, at first, I was deeply offended. But later, I asked the Lord to show me if I was being deceived. And He did! I now ask you to do the same thing. Ask the Lord to show you if you, indeed, are deceived. I pray that you will open your mind and heart to the truth.

This is very misleading. Your understanding of yin yang theory and 5 elements is rudimentary. At best. There is not astrological correspondence but there is a time of year correspondence ( ie) spring, fall etc. It’s like saying we should get rid of the months of the year because of atrology. There is also no planetary assignment At least not in the classics. Classical Chinese medicine would better to be described as Chinese physics. How do things move and function in relation to time and space. How are you out of sync? Now there are many practitioners that do veer off into weird places with this. And it’s good to be mindful. But if you have seen the evil coming out of the pharmaceutical industry lately? I believe natural medicine is a needed alternative.
Also did you know in China when the Bible is translated Christ is translated as the Tao. Because he is the way. The beginning of the Tao de Ching and the beginning of the book of John say the same thing. Christ is the way- he is the embodiment of the the Tao/logos. There is no ‘power’ behind acupuncture but rather knowing how to tune the body back into resonance using the nervous stem
That being said if God was calling you out of this medicine then by all means go. But there are so many fallacies in in your theoretical understanding

Its one of first things I correct for beginning students. Yes, Yin and Yang are left, right, up, down, outward, inward but its not right wrong or evil good. Thats a moral overlay that isn't there. I get that TCM may too close to Taoism but its not on the grounds you are saying. Too bad, you know your stuff and probably were a good practitioner. Now those patients will go without your help.

I don't think I can even watch this video right now. But acupuncture found to work on the myofascia. The meridians being myofascia hotspots. In the cultural revolution in China any text and teachings to do with spirituality in Chinese medicine were purged. So in fact TCM is a 'secular' practice now. TCM is a poetic modality about interplay between organs etc. Now I'll watch fully and try not to get too frustrated. The amount of Christian TCM practitioners I know are vast.

Many medicines from different cultures derived from tribes that learned to come together to thrive rather than survive. That included these modalities and herbs and their own understanding of science or religion based on observation. They can claim that these techniques and herbs come from their god or gods but they really just discovered what the True God created. Warming herbs helped digestion for those with cold conditions. As burning moxa warms the belly to help a cold stomach to again help digestion. They believe the cold was evil. In Mexico they use cupping lettuce wraps on the belly and pray to the virgin of Guadalupe or maybe an Aztec god.
There are thin lines we need to be careful with as in yoga chanting and giving credit to other gods what God created. Meridians are thought to be the folds as our egg turns into a fetus
The first division du and ten
Du being the brain and spine. These folds are conduits. I use this in cranio sacral taught to me by very devout Christian osteopaths like my father and my father treated Amish, Mennonite, German baptist ect. Because we believed it is the persons own sea of energy that sacredly holds the breath of life from God. As my father said do not put yourself into someone or take anything from them. We repeat Lord Jesus Christ have Mercy on me as our prayer 🙏.
I do believe God created these things and different cultures discovered them.
Many culture herbs are now used in pharmaceuticals. And western physicians also have discovered miracle drugs such as L Dopa for Parkinson’s. L-dopa was co-discovered by an MD of the Nazi Regime. Walther Birkmayer, an Austrian neurologist, who did many unethical testing. So here we have an example of modern cultural tribal evil. Now I would understand if one did not want to take such a drug if they understood it’s background. As I do you in your understanding of acupuncture background. I just think God made these things and these cultures can only take credit for discovery 💡 and funding how things work, not creating the body or earthly treasures God created and provided.

Is Acupuncture an Occult Science? Is Medicine an Occult Science?
#1. Acupuncture is practiced in a dispassionate, non-religious way. Acupuncture uses the scientific laws of Qi and the Five Elements incorporate with Western biology, anatomy, and medicine. Acupuncture is medical procedures (many types) practiced under the principles of Observation, Examination, Diagnosis, and Intervention. Acupuncture is practiced for all types of medical conditions with scores of research and observable results. Acupuncture is a Medical Science. Practiced in a dispassionate, non-religious way, Acupuncture is not a cult.
Is prayer invoked in the practice of Acupuncture?
    Then either it is
    a. Christian
    b. Occult (nothing further will be added).
#2. Christian Prayer and Acupuncture Science
The intent of the Christian Practitioner of Acupuncture Science is to establish that there are no contradictions between Christianity and Acupuncture Science. The Scientific Laws of Qi and the Five Elements (inferring also yin/yang) are by God, divinely created, logical structures of human engineering. Christianity and Acupuncture Science conform to common fruits and ideals of good health, discernment, and wisdom.
Per God’s Will and Word in the Holy Bible, is the intent of the Christian Practitioner of Acupuncture Science, to not be occult.
It is God's Will and Gift for us as intelligent humanity to understand, learn, and arrive as fully into the knowledge of the nature of God as he allows us. King Solomon marveled at how wondrously we are made, which is a simultaneous expression of how ignorant we are. The Book of Job indicates how great is the knowledge of God beyond a single person's comprehension.
Being ignorant of Qi and the Five Elements as divinely created one might conclude that Jesus did not heal through the energy of nature. I argue that Jesus is these very powers of nature incorporate to the infinite degree, which are the powers of healing and divinity manifest in his uniquely perfect, sinless nature.
The scientific laws of Qi and the Five Elements are vastly unknown concepts in Western minds. They have been theories in Asia for thousands of years. But they are in fact Scientific Laws of Nature as much as gravity. All scientific laws are divinely created by God. Even though we as humans are ignorant to God's majesty and many are ignorant of Qi and the Five Elements. It remains God Will for us to continue in understanding the nature of His majesty. Understanding Qi and the Five Elements as divinely created instruments for healing and growth, as part of God's nature, furthers our knowledge into the nature of God. it furthers our understanding into the nature, mystery, and ministry of Jesus Christ.
“I perceive (experience) Qi to be reality.” (Divinely inspired).

You allude to them as “scientific” more than once. They are not scientific. They are theories based in mysticism, divination, and spiritualism. I am a Christian and I am concerned that you may be grieving God by not ascribing to Him what is His. God as the creator of the universe created Qi and the 5 element construct of human health. (They are real, they are scientific and they are a great example of Intelligent Design).
You ascribe too much to the Daoist traditions of acupuncture. While being sophisticated and graceful these traditions operate knowingly and purposefully in great ignorance of the truths revealed in Christianity.
Paul in Romans chapter 2 says that all people worldwide intuitively recognize God's work and blessing. But are inadequate in their understanding outside of the law.
It is the same with Taoist traditions. They understood these creations of God, but inadequately so outside of God's truth revealed through Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Holy Word of the Bible.
      Now, I ask of you
Are you grieving God and Holy Spirit with an inadequate acknowledgement that God created Qi and the 5 elements?
Are you grieving God by not utilizing your talents you had in this medicine?
As Paul stated we can be gifted with singular and unique spiritual talents. Some are gifted with healing, some for prophesying, some for encouragement, etc..
Are you grieving the Holy Spirit by denying patient's to get healed by this God given medicine?
Are you grieving practitioners who have this talent of healing in the name of the Lord, to not let them practice this medicine?
I am glad God has saved you.
Perhaps He has better use for your talents outside the practice of acupuncture. Great, use them.
But please don't grieve others of their God gifted talent.
I hope you can take this message to heart in your soul winning endeavors.

@@transcendentalacu Hi Evan. Thank you again for your candor and sincerity. I must tell you, in tbe spirit of Christian love, that you are the one grieving the Holy Spirit. Taoism is absolutely the root of acupuncture and TCM. Taoism is a religion that is not compatible with Christianity. When involved in a practice, we must always consider the root of that practice. The root is going to determine the fruit. In the Bible, it says in Matthew 7:17 that “every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Acupuncture and TCM are the fruits of Taoism, and therefore should not be practiced by anyone professing Christianity. In Deuteronomy 12:29-30, it plainly states: “ When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself, that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying,’How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ “ Dear Evan, I am concerned that you have been ensnared by syncretism. Again, at one point, I was very defensive about my position as a Christian acupuncturist. I really felt as though I was not following the precepts of eastern religion, and could therefore practice acupuncture with a clear heart. But the Lord revealed to me that it is not a practice that I should be doing because the root of it was, indeed, antithetically opposed to Christianity. One of the things that convinced me was an article online referring to acupuncture as “astrology with needles.” As you probably know, astrology is strictly forbidden in the Word of God. I just ask that you will seek the Lord and ask Him are you being deceived. It is not my job, nor within my capability to convict you of this sin. That is the function of the Holy Spirit. My job is just to share the truth of God‘s word. May God bless you as you seek hHm in spirit, and in truth.

@@yvonneshelton9975 Thank you Yvonne for your sincere and thoughtful reply. I appreciate this discourse we are having. Might I suggest that the true root of acupuncture is God? You may be stopping short when you ascribe the root of acupuncture to Daoism. Daoism is not the root of Acupuncture Medicine. God is. Long before Daoism, God created Qi, the Five Elements, and the Intelligently Designed Human Health constructs these entail.
Again Daoism recognizes this God Given construct. But inadequately so. So it is with all deviations of "sinful acupuncture" such as with "Astrology with Needles" divination. Yes, I reject that absolutely.

When you allow a religion to control your thoughts and fears, you're giving up the gift God gave us to use our own better judgment.
    Jesus teaches LOVE and acceptance.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
    Y'all have lost yours.
