Samantha Pratt, acupuncturists have a LOT of training. The possibility of that is very slim. And as I say, the needle is tiny. I never had so much as a bruise. It's also solid-there would be no where for the blood to go even if it were directly in a large vein.

I have had shoulder pain in the past. So, about two years ago I went to an acupuncturist. He stuck three or four needles around my shoulder and attached electrodes to an electric stimulator, kind of like jump starting a car battery. I felt tingles and was told to relax. After twenty minutes they took the needles out. I moved my arms in circles and felt no pain. What most likely happened is that it helps the muscles relax. I don’t know if it affects anything else.
Honestly I felt the same way as you but acupuncture was so good for me it got rid of my nose congestion and constant headaches and I know it’s not placebo because i was very skeptical. Plus the person who did acupuncture to me was a legit doctor who really knows her profession

She can’t explain it very well so I think she’s not a very good acupuncturist. You don’t have to believe in acupuncture. It’s not about belief. I didn’t believe either, but I wanted to try it.
Nora Potter Lol What you described is 100% placebo effect
taoist40 Sounds like electrotherapy with acupuncture needles. FYI, you can do that with regular sticky electrode pads, needles not required.
Kurumi Shinoda It taught them odd, unverifiable and dodgy concepts from a lady that is obviously juggling with words very carefully in order not to get sued. I shouldn't have to trust someone who can practice "medicine" but is not a doctor.
1:12 when you’re not interested at all
Have the kids met a social worker?? If not they should! Lots of people think social workers just take kids away or give out money but I think that more people should know what we do!! So much is done by social workers!

My dad had pneumonia 2 years ago. He had surgery and spent months taking medicine to get better. 2 years later, he was still in a lot of pain and doctors couldn't do much else to help. He started going to acupunture and is doing much better now.
*Thank you for poking me.*
