Letting go of expectations, as Katherine says, is vital. If we hang onto them, we drive ourselves into misery. I am amazed at how she talks of seeing what has happened as a calling. What a blessing to many she is.

Katherine and Jay may have been able to change and adapt to their new circumstances, and flourish, but however some people, including me see disability as something to be endured, or fought against, while waiting for God to either take us out, or take us home. Not all disability, or difficult circumstances are a blessing in disguise from God.
