This one is a tough one for me. I’ve always liked martial arts and took shaolin-do. I’m not defending it though but it’s hard to retrain my brain after being in new age for years😅

As a devout Christian I will vouch for my few years of martial arts experience. You get so much positive stuff from the martial arts even on the Christian front, when it comes to discipline, training, discipleship, confidence, facing trials and life challenges, exercise, health, problem solving. I also will add I spent 11 years in Christian parochial school and some of the bad experiences there were more a problem for my faith. So many Christians talk about "Agape" love but seldom practice it! Some of my experience was downright abusive, receiving swats from academic problems that came from eye problems and learning disorders that were treated like behavioral problems. This was in contrast to my martial arts instructors who modeled patience, kindness and systematic improvement.
A martial arts instructor can be kind and have a beautiful character, but that doesn't make martial arts good.
Some people in this world have beautiful kind spirits, does that mean the things they may do for, example drinking or eating unhealthy food, we should too? No.
I'm so sorry for your bad experience with Christians. They weren't truly Christians. God loves you!

Yes but thats the point. Everything the devil uses is deceptive and looks attractive and many will be deceived. Who fo you yield to? Are you like Eve? Is itso attractive to you that you are willing to trust the devil instead of God?
You are very naive. Do you think just because the devil presents a fake image it means he is not the devil. Martial arts is evil and satanic period. Even satanists can be the nicest people you know but deep down, that’s how they win souls.
I can believe this, the enemy is VERY SUBTLE in his ways with the help of his demons. Also this parallels with drug/ narcotics users who, when trying to be apprehended, possess superhuman strength…

As a kid I watched dragon ball z , a Japanese anime about martial arts, and I'd watch it every day after school. After watching and listening to this segment I now realize the occult agenda that entertained my generation and continues to influence today's youth. I remember the main character Goku during his fights against his enemies he would preform one of his special attacks when he needed to beat his opponent to win the fight, and this attack was called the "spirit bomb", and he would raise his hands towards the sky gathering (chi) energy as if he was one with the universe basically meditating, and while all this is happening he has control over this massive ball of energy that he throws at his opponent. The series is about super natural beings that gather 7 dragon balls and once they have obtained the dragon balls they call for the dragon serpent creature to grant wishes and they would wish the dead back.

doesnt paul also say to abandon your old self and to put on your new self, christianity also talks about letting go of your ego or identification, that is why jesus asked dont you know who you are? so our reality is that we are not who we think we are. it is really a shame that all that people want to see is separation instead of unity, and how bias we are with our standards, as one person once quoted, the only one who lived like jesus was saint francis of asis, and maybe padre pio and a few others, which by the way had to face their own demons.
There's a way that seems right to a man. But the end of that way is destruction beware of what the world narrative is. It is deception. Old self /ways that are purged out are our tendencies to give in to fleshly passions, in other words, leaning on the limbic system rather than your prefrontal cortex, where God resides and speaks to us. You're emotions are from the limbic system and a lot of this world narative teaches ppl to follow their emotions and feelings AK.A "follow your heart", but the bible says the heart is more deceptive above all.
God doesn't call for unity but for division between who serves him and who doesn't. When truth is shown you either accept it or reject it but the truth is just that the truth

Sadly not just in the US in Europe too more and more of these eastern practices in medicine, psychiatric clinics, sports, schools every where are prevalent.

Maybe being strong and not doing anything you’re uncomfortable with is the best approach to things. If you want to do some yoga but want to skip the namastes then do it! End with a smile and go. Don’t make it your religion! Before beginning any martial arts, do a little research and if it’s a cult or seems strange, choose another one. Breathing exercises has a variety of benefits and are useful but there’s no need to become a breatherian or whatever breath related religion, just use the techniques to help with stress relief. Christians can enjoy activities and the benefits as long as it doesn’t include worship so know what worship looks like and stay away from that if you’re not at church! Don’t be afraid of walking away if something’s not right.

I only did martial arts for self defense to later find out that it was more about looks that practically. Therefore what about more modern martial arts like krav mega and boxing to be able to defend themselves.

Self defense negates God is my defense. When we take our hands out of our pockets he puts his hands in his. When we don't really believe that the angel of the Lord encamps around us to deliver us, they we are walking in and relying on flesh looking to our own abilities instead of what God can do.

I was really into martial arts I used to read about their philosophies too one of their teaching was to let go of judgment and bias and to just be an observer and notice how things affect you. Just notice weather something affects you positively or negatively. Like lets say you come across a hugh sum of money lost and you know who it belongs to. Its affects you positively so you should keep it. Don't use your moral judgment, transcend right and wrong.

Martial arts and yoga is hinduism its not of jesus
This is the dogma that has pushed many away from Christ. Just to clarify, those monks are not the military arm of Buddhism, there is no such thing. If you read anything about buddhism, you would understand that they highly believe in peace and love and kindness. They also believe that the body is a divine temple. This is why they adhere to very strict vows along with practicing various martial arts for self-discipline in order to master and clense the mind and body for the benefit of the spirit. If anyone would take a deep look at any world religion worthy of the name, I believe most people would see that it is differing human experiences seeking the same God. There are perversions of any religion, but if you look at the essence of religions thoughout history, you will see Christ, love, kindness, self discipline, self realization, and the quest to sit by our creator in all of them.
You'll fit right in with the "one world religion" coming soon.

America's soilder's use martial arts to protect many "occult" religions around the world. I dare you to invite a real Professor of Martial Arts Combat a Ph.d Grandmaster one whos is qualified to speak. No one teacher I met was evil or as you say religious. This show is false! a fallacy. This is "Churchianity," not Christianity. These people have no idea what they're talking about. Compassion and meditation are the heart of the Way, and they can be found in every religion. Compassion is the golden key (the heart). Meditation is the silver key (the mind). 500 years before Jesus' lifetime, the Buddha was said to have walked on water and to have manifested food. "Wise men from the East" visited Jesus at birth, and Jesus was in India during his so-called "lost years."

This is really is embarrassing as for as western Christianity goes. Real Christianity is a universal religion. What you'll notice throughout many different cultures is that the Monks, Yogis Sheikhs ext are different words describing ROUGHLY the same thing. Jesus by the parameters given by the human beings you're demonizing WOULD have been a Buddha, Yogi, Sheikh ext. The only difference is he would have been THEE Buddha, Yogi, Sheikh ext and his words should be taken more seriously then any other teacher.
Our scriptures say numerous times to meditate, and that God IS found everywhere and within everything that isn't in Hell yet. To clear your mind and allow Gods thoughts to enter (the universal consciousness, spirit, love and truth) is by no means a satanic practice... and to disassociate yourself with yourself and become one with "the universal spirit" through an Ego/Self death, whether by meditation or ingesting an entheogen is not forbidden ANYWHERE in the Old or New Testament. Many Entheogens are Kosher. Also God breathed into us the breath of life, what in the world would be wrong with someone using that same breath to commune with him?
People who spew poison like this is the reason it's incredibly difficult to evangelize nowadays. People hear Jesus and associate him with disunity and cultic isolation of thought and spiritual practice. Jesus set us free, he didn't back us into a corner.
Christianity is not a universal religion. There is only one God and one way to eternal life. Those who want to worship other gods can do so but not under the banner of Jesus Christ!

However a person finds God within them is one step closer to the realization that the Word of God is what’s missing from their life. Some people are shocked when they find that there’s light within them! They don’t see themself as worthy of God and often view Christianity as too holy for them but God gives everyone the wisdom to choose Christ. At the start, I don’t think anyone can know exactly what to do and baptism isn’t as widely advised now that there’s televangelists! There was a time not too long ago when most of us couldn’t read and the Bible wasn’t widely available so people need to find time to read for themselves so they can understand Christianity.
