I bought this mower this summer. I have 1.75 acres. So far this has been great. It has cut my mowing time in half.
I have the MZ Rambler 42" cut mower. Personally, I like the choke on the left side so I don't have to twist my body to the right to grab the choke with my left hand and turn the key with my right hand.
Just bought mine a couple of days ago and can’t wait to use it. I had to plant some winter rye grass so it’s just starting to grow. Thank you for your review.
Thanks for the video I learned a thing or two from watching it. I bought one of these today and pick it up tomorrow. Will be my second zero turn. Will let you know how it turns out.
Thanks for sharing your opinion of the BAD BOY brand mower. I've looked at them & they do look to be well built, almost like a "TANK". Take care.
Thank you for this review! My parents recently bought this same mower and I’m trying to learn everything about it before I start mowing with it. I’m still waiting on the ground to dry out, but I think this one will be a lot easier to mower our several acres then our previous riding lawn mower.
Good video, very informative! Looking at the same one you have ! Went to bad boy and did a custom build , but can't get all the parts I want so guess ill go stock
I agree completely about the choke on the left side and no arm rests. It is a solid mower for the money!
I mowed 12.5 acres 2 ft high grass took a while now I have 2 of those 54"
You can adjust the seat and slide it forward, that might help
Turn the handles around and swap sides. I have the same mower and that's the first thing I did when I got it home. Now the handles are just right
me too
Hey I felt the way with the handle, but then I figured you can swap them around and it brings it closer. Like switch left one to the right. Hope this helps.
They assembled the handles wrong on his and yours. They are supposed bend back towards the seat.
Thanks so much
Good review cousin!
Have same mower my problem is the bolts on Handel are scraping the plastic gas tank and the other side I flipped the bolts around and the back of bolt hits when pulling back and when all the way together look at yours see if it is scraping I say it is a way for the store to get you to buy a new tank trying to figure it out if there is a way to bring agustment to get those bolts to not scrape.
you can buy optional adjustable control handles for this mower, I really like mine
Or you can just swap the left to the right and the right to the left
They make adjustable handles for them around $170
Thank you.
Swap sides with levers that will bring em back to ya more
I'm looking at the magnum. I sat on one. I'm a big boy and the handles hit me in the belly. The seat looks to be all the way back how much can handles be adjusted forward.
For the cost one pays there should be 4400 retreads with fill bottles on the top along with more add ins like the maverick
Excellent video. Very informative. I am trying to decide on my first zero turn mower and have been doing some homework. Your video really helped me feel good about making the purchase of this model! I have about an acre but it still looks like it should be a good size for that. Do you find that you need mulching ever?
With centipede grass I don’t find I ever need mulching. I will be uploading another video soon on this mower, at 60 hours I had an issue with one of the transaxle pulleys. Not bad, but worth noting. I think you’ll be happy with your purchase. Thanks for the comment 👍
Nice mower
I don't know of anyone posted this yet I haven't looked but if you flip those handles around put the right on the left. They will be closer...
How do guys clean underneath where the blades sit
I bought one two days ago. Mowed for one hour and shut it off to stretch my legs. Got back on it and turned the key and nothing. Dead to the world with one hour on it. Put it into the shop yesterday and they said it's likely one of the safety switches isn't working. Have you tried moving the seat forward so the handles and raise pedal are more in reach?
switch your handles say they turn to the back , its first thing i done when i bought mine in 2017
brother got a zt elite handles were put on backward from tractor supply trust me they are on backwards suppose to angle back not forward
Yes sir what size is your back tires
I got one, take out four bolt head screws on handles and swap them. It bitches them back towards seat.
Is the hydrostatic whine normal?
How are you going to adjust your arms?
Move the seat forward…. It has 4 bolts under it. Hope it help
Any up dates on this mower
There's two on the handles there's one with a belt and there's another one that controls your arms belt to the bottom of the police
I own the same mower an run it camershel the only probilem I hav with mine is some times turning right it get stubborn why I ain't figured that out yet other then that that's the only probilem I've got with it its 5 yrs old now
Nice hay mower!! Too bad you aren't making hay.. LoL
Hey Andy👋 By the looks of it, you may could swap the handles around from left to right vise versa and get them closer to you maybe?
I actually just did that, follow up video coming soon. After a few adjustments it’s actually very comfortable to run. Thanks for the feedback!
@@AmericanTradesmen this is Dewayne by the way lol. AKA: Fatboy 🤣
What’s going on buddy?!
@@AmericanTradesmen not a whole lot besides workin and enjoying seeing you guys videos doing what y'all love to do.
Hey did you make that follow up video of swapping the handles yet? I’d like to see it.
How’s it holding up? Still good?
Picking mine up soon. Thanks.
Do you know that for research three on top and one very very bottom underneath the motor
I got my mower from Russ's Lawn Mower Repair in Martinsburg West Virginia, and they are the best family owned business to deal with. They can match prices or even do a better discount on machines! Rather deal with them than any big dollar stores that deal in all things Bad Boy machines! 10/10 recommended
I will check them out I am in Shepherdstown
Looks good I just don't like it because it don't have the romps on it
I am shopping around for a new mower. Can the seat be moved forward? I am 5'4" looking at the bad boy magnum.
I’ll have to look at mine and see, I know there’s not a slide adjustment like in a vehicle. There may be other sets of holes for the seat.
It s definitely a rough rider on the blades put it up on car ramps put something to lock the blade to were it dont move when your trying to break blade lose it worked for me
How hard is it to remove the blades and sharpen?
Thank you.
It's not bad. If you have some way to elevate the mower it is easier.
Pretty tore up considering only 8 hrs on it.
👍
If your controls are out of reach, turn them around, that's what I did.
The choke doesn’t bother me and mine came with armrests… cheers
Have you figured out the arms on on backwards which is why you're reaching so far.
8 hours? Looks faded, side discharge all chewed. Damn. Had a rough 8 hours.
you may know it but your handles re on backwards . I bought mine from TSC and mine was too.
I revered my handles. Works better for me. Also added suspension for the stock seat. ruclips.net/video/F2vqdce5QX4/видео.html
Your handles are backwards
You will have to lay down underneath the motor
Handles are on the wrong sides
John Deere don't have quality there was no grass to mow
Yeah but every time you get done with that greasy
