I appreciate the video. I have the same mower. My husband passed away so I have to keep up 11 acres on my own. I definitely use mine as a blower also.😂
The Toro is an amazing machine. I have followed your videos! Trying to learn my spraying formulas so I can offer it in my business. Probably the most difficult Im currently facing, making sure it’s the right mix.
A lot good tips . If you are on a slope and have a roll bar you should be wearing your seat belt it will save you life in a roll over !!! I know of a teenager that was killed on a ZTR mowing it rolled over and killed him . This was before roll bars , after the incident Toro started putting roll bars on ZTRS . You should not leave the keys in your mowers. This is true I met the boys father at the mower shop I use . I Know seat belts are a pain, bouncing around the cutting into you I don't wear them on flat ground. And be aware of people & vehicles when mowing our ZTRS will throw items a long way. Sorry for the lecture that boys father that I met was very emotional and I will never forget it . Y'all be SAFE out there and have a great mowing season !!!!! Thank you Jason for your informative videos !!!
When i was your age 12 years ago i was pushing a pushmower with a gas can strapped to the top door to door around the neighborhood cutting lawns for $30 a pop. My friend and i were eating like kings that summer.
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Hey Jason, I removed my mulch kit off my 72" diesel grasshopper today. So glad I did. No more overheating due to clogged radiator due to dust. Hopefully no more rust under deck, lost power was restored. I have been a huge advocate for mulching Bermuda over the years, but it was becoming a hassle having to stop an clean radiator pre screen every 30 minutes. Just though I would share.
H B 0 seconds ago I just purchased the 75750 only for my home. I couldn't believe it! I almost landed on the street on a decline! I used it for 1.7 hours being very careful operating when I turn left to go back it just slides like ice down the hill. Our yard is mostly flat except for the front with a slope of more than 10% in front that I tried to stay away from. I was ready to jump off to the left. I locked the brake quickly thank God no damage! Also, the lawn was dry.
Thank you my friend I've cut yards for a minute but just got hired for groundskeeping and never been on one. I use a push mower because my customers like tight, narrow, straight lines. I appreciate you.
Oh that back up and forward backup and forward is nice to keep the area clean where kids play too. Moves all the cut out into the yard and away from the toys and porch
I’ve pretty much abandoned making circles around trees and poles, at least in open fields. I make a half circle on one pass and same thing on the next pass. Sometimes it leaves some extra trimming work depending on where the tree was positioned relative to the mower, but avoiding full circles lowers the risk of tearing up grass and for me personally, it also keeps my lines straighter. It would drive me nuts how my lines would always have a kink in them from coming out of that circle and not being perfectly oriented anymore.
I really enjoy your videos. Just got a JD zero turn for personal use. One thing I wish you would demonstrate is cutting on a bank- incline- You talked a little about it but nothing like seeing it for me.
It looks like you're missing the round knob to bypass the hydros. On yours it's the carriage head bolt just aft of the label telling you how to release it. After loosening the knob you need to reach under the engine deck and pull back on the lever. Thanks for your channel Jason.
Jason, I'd LOVE to be able to run my Toro Titan HD 60 wide open but almost every yard I have is bumpy, clumpy, lumpy and full of uneven turf. I'd get fired for cutting those yards like a jigsaw puzzle! My dentist would love me because I'd shake all the fillings out of my teeth...great video as usual, thanks.
I might suggest pre-positioning your front tires during turns to avoid spinning them in one spot. My front tires leave more dings in a lawn than the back ones ever have.
Upgrade that thing asap! They don't make cubs like they used to! If that's what you have for now ,I would recommend buying something better( almost anything with at min 2800 hydro!) Preferably 3100+ ,3200,3400,5400 ! Something along those lines! Those cubs these days are not so good! Good luck !
As far as moving things sometimes I have to move a big round bale of hay ( about a thousand pounds )that the farmer that cuts my hay drops the bale into my cutting area . You have to start pushing it with your front end but then you start climbing up the bale and you have to back up and keep doing that unto you move it out of your cutting area. It is a little tricky but also satisfying when you get it done. Take care and be safe
Talking about string trimmer hacks. My brother was using my trimmer and noticed he could bog the spool down by simply pushing it into the ground. He said his trimmer was powerful enough you could not do that.
I love my zero turn ...i always make sure on a hill i have and out... somewhere where if it starts sliding i can keep it straight.....if i cant i wait till it drys..it my seem dry with the weight on mine if your wrong you will find out if its wet under the grass..
One good skill to learn over time is moving those darn trampolines lol. I’ve actually gotten really good at moving them around the yard with the exception the customer isn’t home or looking 👀 haha
I would advise any operator especially less experienced workers not to do a reverse cut. Safety first for you and then also unsuspected pwrsons around. Much safer just to go to the point of where you would have reversed to with the blades off then start the cut only in forward drive. It may seem to take longer or is more cumbinsome but you absolutely can see whT your doing with out teying to peep or turn your body while operating. Same result in the end with the grass away from the structure, or in alot of cases the road.
Just some insight to add; never operate at full throttle unless PTO is engaged. On the same token, never engage PTO at full throttle. Always half throttle. Doing otherwise will wear out belts and pulleys faster than you can say 400 dollars. Also 3 point turns are a MUST especially on soft turf.
Gravely suggests to ALWAYS engage their PTO at full throttle, and I even questioned the maintenance dept where I bought it from about that request, because I’ve always heard what you just suggested.
I got a similar mower, mine is a 2017 toro 6000 with the Kohler ( think it's little less then 40hp 1000cc) with my ride and the 4 inch platform! Can you PLEASE make a video to help some of us figure out how to mow more acres with 60 inch zero turn ! Online it says 20 min per acre and I have no clue how to do that! It takes me at least 30 min on a slope!
Hey Jason! I'm just a homeowner who recently migrated to a Toro Timecutter 42 and have experienced pretty much all the problems you are helping us with. The very first time I cut with the Toro I ran close enough to a tree that I damaged the grass chute. So, I bought a new one and put it on and had noticed my neighbor using bungie to hold his open while he cut. I started doing that which in most situations is fine. But, the mower throws grass with so much force and because I overseed winter rye in the back yard I was throwing grass clumps on my truck and the vinyl siding all the way up to the roof. It is crazy! Talk to me about that chute blocker! Did you have to fabricate it or can I buy one for my Toro?
Sliding down a hill... if you have hills and/or slopes to mow, like I do, you could do what I did... get a ZTR with a steering wheel. Being able to steer the front wheels improves the grip when going across slopes. Speed... my max speed is dependent on the smoothness of the yard. I replaced my old ZTR with a Cub Cadet Pro Z 100, which has a suspension seat. That thing is a game changer. I can mow way faster on the Pro Z than I could on my old ZTR with no suspension. There are a lot more areas now that I can go full speed. Dispersing clippings... if you mow at proper intervals, most ZTR's will discharge clipping at a sufficient speed that rows of grass clippings will not form. Stick to the 1/3rd rule, and you'll never have to do anything with clippings.
All mower manuals caution you about towing or pushing the mower even a short distance, without first opening the bypass valves on the Drive Units or you risk damaging the Drive Units.
Next time buy a Bad Boy. I’m a 78 year old woman with 54 inch cut. I do zero turns all the time. If you want to do 3 point turns just get Sears garden tractor. Save money and nice ride. Lots of accessories too.
Using two hands to mow is inefficient and hinders your ability to hold a beer. Mowing with two hands proves you actually did read the articles in Playboy
I appreciate the video. I have the same mower. My husband passed away so I have to keep up 11 acres on my own. I definitely use mine as a blower also.😂
I am also looking after our large property. How does this zero turn mower perform on unlevel ground?
Your comedy always makes me smile dealing with " difficulties" of being a landscape pro. Stay safe brother appreciate the vids
Thanks for watching
Seeing a zero turn almost similar to mine.. quite refreshing.
What an incredible machine, totally worth it anyone wondering!
I like my Toro
The Toro is an amazing machine.
I have followed your videos!
Trying to learn my spraying formulas so I can offer it in my business.
Probably the most difficult Im currently facing, making sure it’s the right mix.
If ur slipping , turn off the blade! Then get down the hill.
A lot good tips . If you are on a slope and have a roll bar you should be wearing your seat belt it will save you life in a roll over !!! Thanks bro for the help I’m 13 and I’m trying to learn how to use lawnmowers😋
When i was your age 12 years ago i was pushing a pushmower with a gas can strapped to the top door to door around the neighborhood cutting lawns for $30 a pop. My friend and i were eating like kings that summer.
Hey same here
I’m 4 and learning how to mow to
Hey I'm 3 and I'm mowing how to learn.
Started mowing at 8 years old with a reel mower (no motor) and those hand yard scissors, who else remembers those days? Oh yeah at $8.00 a yard lol

Then charge them extra for them tight lines. That double your time or worse
Thanks for putting this together for us. My first season with a zero turn so learning all I can.
Oh that back up and forward backup and forward is nice to keep the area clean where kids play too. Moves all the cut out into the yard and away from the toys and porch
DAMN, YOU just made my decision to purchase zero turn positive. Taking on 4+ acre property. Thanks~!
Whats the best way to mow my septic mound with a zero turn mower?

About time you did this video !
Better late than never!
Do u raise your deck when blowing the drive? Or just disengage the blade? Thx

Mine has the my ride seat. That makes a difference
Great video! Can you tell me the kind of tires you're running on that mower? Thanks
I might suggest pre-positioning your front tires during turns to avoid spinning them in one spot. My front tires leave more dings in a lawn than the back ones ever have.
Great tutorial Alabama! Thanks! Getting on my new Cub ZT today, after this!

Perhaps a video showing the best way to traverse a slope

Super great video. I didn't even know I needed new skills. Thank you so much.
Mower is a weapon dude sounds Tuff 😂 love the side discharge plate n Handle ...you yanks are all over it.yewwww 👍👍👍
Have you tried the V's one hand controller? If so, does it work?
I love my zero turn ...i always make sure on a hill i have and out... somewhere where if it starts sliding i can keep it straight.....if i cant i wait till it drys..it my seem dry with the weight on mine if your wrong you will find out if its wet under the grass..
Unrelated, but how do you keep the grass out of the mulch around your trees?
Is the chute on the side an additional attachment??
Yes
@@lawncarelife mind adding a link
I would so buy that for my zero turn.
The one I have is called Advanced Chute system

Love the thumbnail lol
Thank you
Mines got 2 pins that you pull to freewheel the mower ( push/pull)
Sliding down a hill... if you have hills and/or slopes to mow, like I do, you could do what I did... get a ZTR with a steering wheel. Being able to steer the front wheels improves the grip when going across slopes.

I bet you could launch a ball pretty well by just getting next to it, opening up your chute blocker and smacking it with the flap.
Mowing a cemetery will sharpen your skills.
Another tip maybe not skill around trees raise the deck if it’s on an angle say you cut at 3.5 cut at 4
3:59 THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE
Good vid partner
This video is funny as hell🤣🤣🤣
Glad you liked it
Idk about you guys but i mow one handed all day! 😅
People that need two hands to run a zero turn are the ones that actually read the articles in Playboy. And how do you hold your beer?
Did that many times
Next time buy a Bad Boy. I’m a 78 year old woman with 54 inch cut. I do zero turns all the time. If you want to do 3 point turns just get Sears garden tractor. Save money and nice ride. Lots of accessories too.
"well rule number 1 should be dont get it on the steep wet hill , but rule number 2 after you got it on the steep wet hill..." lmao
It is nice to carry a stick or broom handle to knock things out of the way!😅
Oh, boy--potholes are impossible to avoid in my yard: we are infested with gophers! 😀
I do mow a ditch with out stepping it up
New game! Side-discharge soccer!
awesome...👍
They are dump valves you have to release on the transmission for the hydro tanks.
work smarter not harder as we allways say
👍🏾
Thanks for supporting my videos
It would be much more efficient to disengage PTO, engage the parking brake, and get off the darn mower.
Skill 12) How to catch a man who likes to mow the lawn?
Reckon, if this guy is the child actor - grown up now, who played the young Forrest Gump?
Looks like you invented a new sport there lol zero turn soccer
You should start a zero-turn soccer league.
Great idea! 👍
My whole yard looks like a wavy potato chip.
Has anyone told ya you look like Tom brady
I'm operating that for hours it's killing my kidneys 😢
Goddam u guys cut grass short in Alabama
I don’t mind scratching a Tesla 🤬
I'm not sure I can afford that paint

Yo Jason i do u have a Facebook page or email i can send u some photos of i have a weed i cant get rid of trying to see if u can help.
