  • I recently purchased a new zero turn mower from Bad Boy. This lawn mower has a beast of a fabricated frame that can handle almost anything. It comes with the 725cc Kohler engine that has not had any issues after several hours of run time. The 54" wide deck makes cutting our 1.5 acres much quicker than ever before.
I purchased it from the local Tractor Supply store, but you might find it at other dealers.

I purchased my MZ Magnum 54” with Koehler engine in 2020 (had to wait until fall with all the store closures - not bad boy’s fault). I had been using my 20” Ryobi push mower for my 2.3 acres during the pandemic after my John Deere died. It took me almost all week to mow the property (but that wasn’t bad since we were locked down - gave me something to do). So let’s say it was 5 days of mowing, and this bad boy cut it down to a couple of hours. My wife and daughter were working from home the first time I used it and when I came in and said I was done, they couldn’t believe it.
It has been a real workhorse for me. I had not run a zero turn much before and didn’t know it wasn’t a tractor that could climb hills (too light in front) so once I got that figured out I have loved it. I don’t like is the digital display by the key, it cracked the first 10-15 hours of use. Enjoy your Magnum!

Just purchased this exact mower configuration and it will be delivered tomorrow! The little capped off spot on the control panel is just an empty accessory spot. Put an underlighting kit on it so people know you mean business, and then route the switch to that spot.

@@MjCampbell-zl5be It's been good and I'm still happy - no real complaints. Can't remember if he goes over it in this video but many people, including myself, received a unit without centered steering so you're always holding one of the steering controls very slightly back - not a big deal but worth mentioning. Other than that, there is a learning curve to turning, as in not tearing up your grass on turns. It seems a bit aggressive but you get used to it.

I'm 6'2" @ 235lbs, even with the seat all the way back it's a bit uncomfortable pushing the deck lift. My exmark 44" lazer z hp (2003) is much easier overall. The leg room is definitely lacking for taller people. It turns better/sharper than my lazer z. It req

Most parts on the bad boy are easy to service but have you ever tried to grease the drive motor belt tension pulley? I've not found any way to grease that damn thing without taking it off. Mine is a 54 inch magnum bad boy. If they had reversed the grease plug it would've been easy to get to, but instead, they've got it pointing to the front of the mower and trying to grease it is impossible without taking the pully off. Do you know any way to get to the grease plug easier than what i've described?

Cover for rocker switch, great if you add lights.
I was wondering too if you could replace a seat off a higher trim with arm rest onto this model.
