I've learned to fear C2b pilots. Rocket plane users in general to be honest. They usually kick ass. I was wondering how but then I took the Me163 B-0 into a 10.3 game with a squad mate and got 6 kills, so.... rocket planes are pretty damn good lmao

I died to a J29 listening to this in the background.
I actually found it to be one of the easiest jets to fly, I got an ace in my first game with it and that motivated me a lot.
Although I been playing the Vautour IIA (tech tree version) as a fighter (dropping bombs off spawn) for the past week, and that plays VERY similar to the J29D.
Anyone else notice the guns on this thing have an ever slightly different and slower velocity than Adens? It really throws me off
One of the best investments without a doubt. Get about anywhere from 40-90k SL per match and 40k RP with premium. Depending on kills and victory/defeat. It gives you the same ammount RP and SL as a top tier premium. Like the Harrier. 6x ADEN cannons tear. Stay at low alt. Dont turnfight, climb then dive. If you dont want to turnfight, keep your speed. Almost no jet can catch up. It can hit 1000+km pretty easily. It maintains energy decently. Aiming is the hardest part. Head ons are a easy win, never lost one yet with it. Id say about a 8/10 aircraft for its BR. Once you learn how to aim this and max out the crew, 10/10. Would buy on sale still tho.

I prefer zoom climbing to 3-4k altitude, shoot down afk climbers and then rope-ah-dope the rest of the game. The energy retention in it is fantastic, and you can't really utilize top speed in it so I don't see the point staying low. But hey, that's all down to personal playstyles! Fun to see another take on it. Lovely video as always!
What I appreciate about this beautiful game, and awesome people like SpitFlyer, is that you see how nice the War Thunder community is, and how SpitFlyer, Phly, BO, and OddBaws (sorry spelled that wrong) most literally make up and hold up the community of War Thunder! I am also playing Swedish Jets, and not gonna lie, they are so overpowered! Happy Flying SpitFlyer!!!

God, you should take a look at the A1a right now. F89's just dick on you every single game. Though, to be fair, you can catch people off guard by using stealth belts in the Mk108s and keeping your energy up. Thing's so slow, though. It's the only jet I've played where side-climbing is a good idea. Uptiers are hell but fighting props isn't so bad considering the Skyshark pilots like to ground pound and props in general can't keep up.
J29 actually out accelerates pretty much everything else in a slight decline tho.
Could you do a video of J29D again? Cause right now i only play against Yak 38 and Harriers. Would like to see what it changes.

Yeah I've been grindign for like ... idk maybe 8h total now yesterday+today and I'm 500k rp away from the J32B, although today I've been plying horribly compared to yesterday when I was somehow gettign aces left and right.

Does anyone else agree that the rocket booster 262's should be moved down a br. My reason is that for 5 matches yesterday all my targets were either killed by something faster than me or they just out ran me I wasn't able to get a single kill in all those matches and in two of them I was killed by missiles

Definitely. Not only they are usable for only about 5 minutes, but their performance is worse than that of normal 262, so once you're out of booster fuel, you might as well J out. The only reason they are still at 8.0 is because Gajoob doesn't give a shit about anything that isn't either top tier or premium, so they didn't bother to look at the damn thing since they added it into the game. Way, way back it was kinda fine, now it's borderline useless against near Mach 1 jets it has to fight.

Yes, I personally like it a lot rn but keep in mind it has no tracers anymore at all (which may be good or bad depending on how familiar you are with ADENs).
It's not OP, decent in air and decent in ground. And 4 Nose mounted ADENs with HEI stealth belts give what I like to call "Stockholm smooches".
My god spit flyer your timing is impeccable, me and another guy from the squadron I'm in took these out last night and I'm not a confident jet pilot yet I've taken out the F80A and La-15 and am doing okay in those slightly positive kill death ratio but not great ratio by any means and the M.D.450B ouragan and I'm doing atrocious in that, but yes as I said I'm a really nervous pilot when in jets coz I know I'm facing pilots who know what they are doing and I'm struggles to make the transition to jets from props in regards to gun aiming I'm terrible with my aim in jets I can hit things but it takes me way more ammo than it should

Yeah, I've got some issues with those higher-BR 30mms. I just can't aim the DEFAs on the G91R/3 - the german tree is literally 20mm MG151s with a mix of Mk103s and 108s then it throws you into NR23s, NR37s, DEFAs, and M3 .50cals... It's so hard to get used to all these random ass calibers lmfao

I’ve been playing the 262 A2a to grind out the MiG-21MF a lot recently and I’ve really grown to like how the MK108’s perform. The only problem is that I now have the MiG and I have absolutely no clue how to lead the Gsh-23L gun pods and I end up wasting all of my ammo on one target, sometimes without even getting a hit.
Got it during the sale. Holy shit the guns are insane. Literally point and click. Amazing compared to Hitsparkos and jet 50cals. No seriously, just a click and planes go down!
You trade that for ammo capacity as well which makes it fairly balanced
@@Spitflyer Hey, thanks for the reply! Honestly I've learnt to control the bursts to only shoot out a small cloud of 60 rounds or so. Since I'm not used to the MG 213 based guns I do miss some shots but overall they're very efficient! Plus the fact that the Tunnan has an amazing engine/afterburner, that the SRAAMrrier Gr. 1 is now to 10.0 and overall it performs insanely well. Although it's biggest weakness to me are enemy poppers (missiles above the AIM-9B). Can't escape a R-60 from a Yak-38 for example, but oh well! Still great. Can't wait to reach the Draken with it.

Just got back into war thunder and I'm grinding out the swedish right now but I just can't get the concept of how to fly the J29A to save my life

Impossible to play it right now. Always uptiered against AV8s and yaks
I love these 30mm they are so ez compared to German ones or these on the MiGs
Also you can Turn and gain Speed!!!
You can use flaps up to 750 km/h without Breaking them
You dont have AAMs whichis bad when you get uptiered to 9.3 :(
The climb Rate is excellent too and the only bad Thing shout it is that you always her uptiered to 9.0 and 9.3 :(
So Overall its maybe the best Fighter at its Br

Fly it like you would a Fw-190 A(x). Can't turn very well but it has a pretty nice roll-rate. I recommend BnZ. Headons sound like a good idea, but ShVAKs are fucking trash, so avoid them if possible. It's a weird plane, but I do like that you can ground pound at the end of games if necessary - you've got like 500 rounds of 20mm and the ability to carry rockets or bombs. Though, once again, the Rusky 20mms are terrible at everything. Well, except being shit.

In real life Only the j29f had an afterburner (and the Only airworthy tunnan is a j29f)
iirc the D was a testbed for the afterburning engine but in wt it has 30mms for some reason

Do you have experience in jets? Maybe link me a screenshot of both pages of your stat card? It could just be too difficult if you don't have experience. The PM-1 (Finnish plane at tier 2) is a really easy plane if you want to grind Sweden

“Afterburner gives u decent clim rate” this shit can’t accelerate. “Use your teammates” it’s valid strategy even for Buccaneer.
So conclusion is - this plane is simply dogshit. It can’t do anything well. For WoolfPack you can use any airplane, it’s not benefit of the plane, it’s just a way how to kill using this airplane.

What? This plane tears at 8.7. Got 4 kills for the 1st match and forgot i had this thing. Its 6x ADENS and climb turning make up for uts terrible preformance. A little brrt destorys a aircraft in seconds. It wins in most head ons. Climbs like crazy. Beautiful weaponry. You might want to learn how to aim with it, it aims like no other jet.. Stay at low altitude. Dont climb the whole match but climb when you need to turn.

I would take these videos more at face value if we could see how REGULAR games go. This thing STRUGGLES. J29D will be lucky if it can manage a single kill per match. It’s a brick! The low ammo count coupled with the EXTREMELY slow velocity make for a hell of an aiming experience. You what to honestly know what this birds best used for in a match??? Running..... dragging idiots willing to chase you towards your team mates who can actually manage relatively easy kills. Being a “head on monster” should NOT be looked at as some sort of a plus. Especially if that’s ALL this POS is decent at. It’s most definitely NOT WORTH THE $50 THEY ASK FOR IT. THANK the capitalist gods for credit card charge backs. What with gaijin awful policy of denying refunds when they sell shit products to they’re customers.
The only times I struggled in this thing and it was out of my control was when all my team died leaving me in a 5 v 1. I can normally average 2-3 kills a game and like I said: this plane is difficult to fly, but definitely a good plane in the right hands
