Worst thing about these fun unique non-copypaste Swedish planes are the Air RB queuetimes.
A tip for MEC: both radiators at 100% + Prop Pitch at 75% and the plane will never overheat at all and you lose no power from it.

@@martijn9568 yes and no, depends on the plane, for example German engines work below 60% prop pitch (anything over that and the engine will over rev and die) while other engines work above that and need the 100% prop pitch to work at full power.
In the case of the J21 which uses a German engine (modified version of the one used on the Bf-110) it only needs 75% to work in ideal conditions, anything over that will give you no noticeable extra power and will make the engine overheat from the RPM.
It definitely does lose power when you lower it even 5% lol

And they rip easily, so if you fuck it up you can always dive away
FunkyEspelhoCat these are great planes but so are early 109s if your a bf109f you can easily out climb it and play energy if your a bf109e you might be able to outmaneuver it though I’m not entirely sure about that I haven’t turnfought many of them in my j21

i went from an average of 2 or 3 kills in j22 to 5-7 in j21 its ridiculous
even more in arcade, went from 6 ish to minimum 10 per game
Everytime I see a j21a I actually get a lump in my throat, the only chance you have against them is if you damage a rudder or the engine, it somehow always extinguishes fires and you stand absolutley no chance in head ons because of the 13mm, even in a bf109

It might just be me, but I get the impression that the a2 cools down better than the a1. As stated, might just be me.
yes it cools down better as the a1 hase almost no way of cooling its engine just if you fly them look under the plane there you will find why

it's not as much about the 13.2 as much it is the belts, the Murican planes get 4ap, tracer, HE and the swedes get 3HE, AP...massive difference against planes
@@spicynoodle7419 American belts have no HE filler in their shells, but still they behave like HE when they impact inert parts like rudders or wings, tearing them apart upon a couple of impacts, instead of piercing through many points after a second of burst that the wing would be black and thus torn off.
@@kingghidorah8106 it hasn't been my experience, with the P-51C I have to go for the engine or pilot. If I put a burst in the tail/wing during a bnz or scissors (especially against those pesky getmans) I just get "Hit". It may make their plane a little wonky but it doesn't stop them from manoeuvring and continuing the dogfight. Stealth belts shred but I'm not good enough to lead with them consistently. On the others hand, with the Swedish Air belts if I hit a tail or wing tip even with 3-4 bullets something will be cut off of a bf109.

I feel this thing just doesnt take damage, I shoot it and nothing happens, it just sucks up bullets then kills me.
You were absolutely right I got this out and up graded it in 3 matches it just dont climb out. Averaged about 3 kills per match and a number a assist. Thanks I'm rolling on Sweden now. Lol. Thanks a lot
This thing is way too strong in arcade. Every time I see it, the player gets at least 15 kills.

Try the j22 it’s super good I consistently get aces every game for flying one plane and in a match I get at least 10 kills.

I have it and it's so fucikng easy to play it's not even funny I could probably get a kill blindfolded the rounds melt anything it touches and I might not be close as quick or as good turning as the bf109 or the American planes and you die really quick. but that means nothing. because you can easily get 5 kills per variant of it and boom 15+ kills

It's shocking to imagine that this used to be 3.3
The 13.2s have a much higher RoF than M2 Brownings. They have about twice the kinetic energy when you add in the shell size so not "technically .50 cals". You really need to check your facts better, it is quite often now you just say something you think is correct..The Burst mass ialo heavier than the P-38 (3.5kg-ish comp. to about 5 for the J21...)
And the cannon on the J21A-1 is based on the Hispano Suiza. The J21A-2 not.
not to menton that the 13.2mm has HEF rounds. EXPLOSIVE rounds on heavy machine guns. You can't say the same for the M2 Brownin .50

I don´t know if they changed the RoF when it was rechambered to 12.7mm.
The m/39 had a RoF from the lowest of 600 per minute up to 1500.... Like the MG42..
1080 or so was the "standard" however. Higher than the An/M2 by quite a lot.
@@daveschilling8625 When they got surplus p-51, rather than going with 13.2mm they just decided to keep the M2 brownings and the surplus ammunition for it because it was cheaper than to keep producing the 13.2mm ammunition....
@@alexhurlbut Not really. It was considered to switch the .50 An/M2s in the J26s to AKAn m/38 or 39A. but since .50 cal was much more common and cheaper, they did not.
J26s kept their .50 cals but other m/39s and 39As were rechambered to take the .50 cal instead.

Out of all the fighters it’s always this one that nails me along with the overpowered M1
I find this plane to climb well enough, and boom and zooming is very viable, it can even go face on, with its many nose guns you can burst off at 1km+ and then evade. Most games that i got down tiered i found this to do very well and not uncommon with 10+ kills in arcade.
This plane in arcade... oh my. It can drop down to a 2.0 Nuf said.

This plane has a supa hot engine. Makes sense considering its a swedish plane.
This thing at 3.3 is still a fcking monster, I'M REALLY BAD playing planes but I easily get 4-5 kills per match.

I’d say the best counter to the J-21 is the yak-1b as it faces Russia a lot. Yak-1b can out climb it, out turn it and catch it if a player decides to run with it since it can’t really dive away. I find a lot of J-21 players that try to dive away end up ripping their wings.
I face alot of japanese more then anything as well as german 109 e3
Mroliverdnvll oliver That’s interesting as I seem to only face Russians and every so often Germany, Japan, and Italy. Japanese and German planes should not have a huge issue facing this plane as long as they are used to their advantage. I still think yak-1b is best all around in facing this plane.

I got frustrated facing this plane so much that I played literally no other nation until I got to the J-21A-1. Was not disappointed, this plane is so fun

The only difference between A1 and A2 is the former uses a Hispano 20mm with drum mag (supposedly 60 rounds, but Gaijin being Gaijin they gave it 140), while the later has a bofors 20mm with 140rounds belt

Swedish planes don't turn that well. Use boom n zoom and you will have lots of fun.
Horizontal turns in this thing are a mistake, try doing mor verticals

In ur opinion is it better to have a tree with little planes but most if not all indigenous design (ex. Sweden right now) or a filled tree but a lot of foreign planes as well.
I prefere trees that has some versions of the same tank but it is domestic. Not a tree that has alot of foreigner tanks (like China)

FW-200 is amazing, bombload is awesome, and 7.92mm is naughty when aimed right
i like the J22-B but it dont take muck and it will go down
Fly it in SB EC and then tell me how great it is. In SB the flight model makes it very difficult to fly. You are constantly fighting it.
That's about what you'd expect from this sort of design in SB. But this thing does nasty things with it's guns. So at least you don't need a long burst on target to kill with it.
I struggle with this plane so much. Most other planes, I can adjust well and play. But I just can’t play this plane well. I get outclimbed, out turned, out sped, and the energy retention isn’t great. Any advice? I side climb, I pick my shots semi intelligently, and yet it’s not a super forgiving plane, other than it’s firepower. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Play in a squad and work together. The J21s work exceptionally well in a wolfpack

Oooh boi i love the 3.0 lightning
Climbs great, gets an airspawn, decent armament and turns really good with the flaps out.
Only downside is that if you get damaged, the cooling goes to shit and it’s a rather large target.

Hey Spit, how would you fly against this plane? Other than outclimbing it when I’m in my Yaks, I can’t seem to do anything else against it that works well.

Spit_flyer So, an energy trap? I’ve done it a few times but I’m not sure how to reliably energy trap an enemy without exposing myself to getting shot at certain points in the approach such as spiral climbing, canopy rolling and just looping.

This is not that bad of a plane, but I absolutely hate how fragile the landing gear is, as well as super low rip speed both for the wings and flaps. Then, there's overheating, but that's less of a problem, just don't WEP all the time.

Spit_flyer, I have submitted an aircraft suggestion in the forum today under Great Britain. It is called "fix the broken/glitchy Spitfires." I have done this in the hope that you can fly your Spitfires again without the guns glitching or energy problems that did not exist in reality. I would also like to fly them too. I like all the aircraft. I even like the Bf 109, the funny gray dragon, but the sad thing is I never get to enjoy Great Britain. ): Let's hope they listen at Gajin support. I don't think they're angry at me or anything. Perhaps it is just a miscommunication. They just don't know how to make the Spitfires good without breaking the game because we've never told them what we'd like done with them and what we'd like them to fight. I think the answer is, late war props with high speeds or heavily armed or armored stuff, like what they faced later on.

Not sure how console controls work, but in general : don’t turn with yaks, climb when facing russia to about 4.5km and always climb to at least 3km always. Also, don’t stall climb for an enemy up high
Try B18B-2 it is op at 2.3
ALL the B18/T18s are quite good once you get the upgrades
Still pretty good at 3.3, Can always expect 1-2 kills at least and frequently get more.
How do I get the Sweden planes
Buy the Pyörrm... The Finnish 109 or the J29D or get 12 Tester Stars - or wait..

My J21A-1 is at 4.3 because I have all the modifications and I would say it is the best thing for head ons and not dogfighting.

simply said, all except the j26 are the must have 4.0 planes on the Swedish tree. i mean must have among all trees. Swedish 13.2 cannon is the best sub 20mm non-minengeshoss thing out there. i consistently get 1st place almost every game when i was flying Swedes 4.0

I got the CBT access from the bonuses and I took a week to play rust and had to leave my PC for about a week after the patch went live. It's doable

You need 12 to join the CBT
bombers can climb high altitude (ganjin says) reailty bombers can climb at 30 min. this plane can do it in 20 seconds that plane doing 3 sortie at 6 km altitude wtf

I really liked the J22-B for Sweden. Used it like a Thunderbolt and it's the only reason I was able to get thd J6K1 in the time I had. Amazed I didn't get an Ace in it yet but I did I have 4 kills 3 battles in a row. A B18B and I worked really well together to beat a P-36 and Ki-43 in a 2v2.
I also felt the J21's 20mm guns felt like Hispano Mk V but maybe I'm way off.
J22-B is a great little plane. IIRC it's also the only rank 3 plane with a 2.0 BR, so it's great at grinding out warbonds/special tasks

The A-1 is the only plane I’ve been consistently good with. Currently 37/4 K/D with it, across about a dozen games.
