Hey spit, not an expert, but I believe the dog tooth wing extension is intended to generate a vortex along the wing. the purpose of it is to help prevent a total wing stall at high angles of attack by intentionally disrupting spanwise airflow to prevent sepatation, so it *should* in theory be able to sustain a tighter turn than the J29D, although you're only really likely to notice this in simulator battles as the aircraft being able to turn a little tighter without stalling!

Yes, I believe it also helps with the characteristic of swept wing jets locking in the nose up position during a stall which causes a crash. If I remember correctly the laminar flow over the swept wing causes the wing tips to stall first which locks it in the nose up position. This stall was coined the sabre dance (for the F-100 super sabre) and was responsible for several test pilot deaths. Also you might notice the F-100D and Mig 17 both have little vertical surfaces on the wing to prevent the loss of lift on the wings. the dog tooth also helps with this characteristic.
Don't quote me though, this is off the top of my head.
Quite a few earlier J29s crashed while landing due to staring to roll cause of the J29 being roll unstable. As you can probably imagine, flipping upside down meters from the ground at low speed isn't very good for either the plane or the pilot. And the fact that the plane flipped meant that the pilot couldn't eject and was doomed to be crushed against the ground under the weight of the plane.

the J29F had apart from missiles a slightly more powerful engine in the RM 2B that gave it a few more km/h speed.
When I play with a j29F and there is a su-25 with the OP IR missiles, I get so much pain .
I love ADENs (they are my namesake) and tbh I like seeing spit lose sometimes because its like all those movies where the good guys win every time!

I've been grinding germans quite a bit lately and played a lot of g91r3. The j29 was always the only plane I had issues with. I'd just try to stay out of it's way most of the time. I just found I'd never really be able to play with it like any other plane at the tier. I only engaged it if the opportunity presented itself or if I had no choice.

This plane feels like it has less power now, it barely competes in 8.7. Anyone feel the same/differently?
I’ve been playing the J/A29B and the J29A recently and been suffering a lot. Worst stock grind in the game, and I’ve been through the Leo 1 stock grind among others. I’ve been reduced to going for ground targets because the plane accelerates worse than an f-80....

Ive been carrying with ace matches in the J29D past few days, its it me or is it patch week type sweatys not playing as much. I despise Adens too, they dont make sense to me as it seems these tracers are a complete lie. I can shoot someone and watch them explode when not even close to my rounds. Yet other times they fly right through them. Idk i prefer T-160s on the F2 or the Pontiacs on the F100

Have you had a blast playing every single plane in the swedish tree? How'd you do anything in the J29A? It seems like absolute crap.

MiG-15 is actually 10kph faster and turns better all the way down to 300kph as well as accelerates better up to 650kph.

Agree about the rest though,if i couls have them 1on1 i'd win,but i cant dodge them by climbing and if i dogfight them i die,because my team is gone. Should honestly lose the AAMs and go to 9.0 with the bis when the supersonics get a br of their own

What is your view on vertical targeting with the guns? I see that you have it turned on and off on certain planes and i am curious to why. I know what it is and have the background facts about it. I thought that it would be good for jets and now i see that you have it turned off for this plane and the J29D. Why?

PS. 8.51: The guns on this one sparks a lot :S The 30s sometimes but i have experienced a lot of sparking with the 20s... might be because they are hispanos after all..
If you have the same cal guns leave it off; if the plane has different caliber guns it will make them shoot together. Basically having it on will be dead on with all guns at that range, off is just straight shooting guns

There is too many overpowered planes in the BR and this jet suffers from it. Even the MiG-15 has better performance and for the J29s to face MiG-17 AND F-5s is just to much...
How is the MiG-15 better than the 29's? It's utterly outclassed.
@@inri1589 It has faster acceleration, same around the max speed at sea level. It has better climb and turn rate and on top of this it has the G-suit which makes it better at holding turns longer without blacking out. My crew skill is 75 with expert level and the J-29F is fully upgraded.
@@TheCleansingx ahhhhhahahaa i've been caught in every climb i extended in against a j29. It also rolls much better,has a better turn at high speeds(though if the mig drops flap it will outturn it at low speeds),it has much better guns,and above 600 kph the difference in acceleration is minor. That's for the D,the F has worse guns but you can get aam's and dab on mig's who climbed. Granted,one on one it's about equal to the MiG imo,now that i've learned to fight it,but i'm pretty good at it. If the guns on the mig worked,it'd be balanced,now it's unfair.
