I am now married, and have a job as a teacher. #1 thing for me with relationships is really truly understanding that your own feelings, wants, and desires are not the only ones at stake. You may roll your eyes and think “obviously”, but really think about it. Being wealthy and successful clouds a man’s judgement, and makes them more self centered. This isn’t inherently bad, as it’s part of the reason you become successful. It was learning a balance, and truly being receptive to my partners needs and desires that led to the amazing relationship I have with my wife. We’ve been together since we were 17, done long distance and gone through some really shitty times. The ability to to be selfless and persevere through those moments is what separates a good relationship from a toxic or unbalanced one. Food for thought I guess

This is huge. For YEARS I’ve been screaming at my screen “YOURE THE PROBLEM MATT”. I’m proud of you bro. This is a HARD thing to take accountability for but it pays insane dividends in the long run. I’m 26 and have been divorced twice and have had at least 3 other serious relationships that ended badly and every time I said “that bitch is just crazy”. Once my last divorce went through I sat in my apartment completely alone for the first time probably ever and just stared at a blank tv screen for hours thinking about how if they were really the problem, I wouldn’t be the one alone after the breakups. I’d have people agreeing with me. But I didn’t. So I decided at that moment that every time I said something or did something to a woman whether that be at home or work, that I would gauge their reaction instead of just not caring what they thought. I realized quickly how misogynistic and shitty of a boyfriend and husband I was. Now 3 years later I’m 2 years into the best, healthiest relationship I’ve ever experienced. Change is hard, but so is everything else worth doing. I’ll go ahead and throw my vape away today. Let’s be accountable.

Spent 6 years in the Marine Corps and have been addicted to nicotine since 2017. Went from cigarettes to Copenhagen long cut to Zyns. I am 17 days nicotine free it has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life, but in doing so I have chosen to eat healthier, get back in the gym after 3 years of not touching it since I left the service. Overall I’m feeling so much better. I’ve been married for 5 years as well, and although I my wife and I have been through a lot that brought us together, I wish I would’ve learned the lessons you’re learning now a lot sooner. I’ve had a few friends in the past go through something similar and my advice to them has always been to look into going to therapy. You say you’re unsure why you’re the way you are and a therapist could help you bring those apprehensions forward and give you the skills to look at them from a different angle. Especially with us guys there can be a stigma for talking about or showing our emotions but that’s such a backwards way of looking at things. You don’t have to be depressed to see a therapist because there’s always things emotionally that we can all work on. Your videos have been a huge source of laughter and happiness but I would want the same for you. And I’m not talking on some parasocial shit or anything like that just from human to human. I hope you’re able to get past this man but in the meantime we’ll be here watching the vids.

No bs, it’s one of the hardest addictions to quit. It’s ingrained in your head to always need some type of oral stimulation (no homo). I recommend always having something to pop in like some mints, gum or hell even push pops. If the cravings get too strong, try a very light dosage of nicotine pouches (I’m talking like 2 mg). I’ve been there man, it’s tough. But I promise there’s always upside and the grass is always greener. Just remain tough and remember that there was in fact a time when you didn’t need nicotine. Started on nicotine at 15, I'm 22 now. Finally decided to cold turkey it after an episode with high blood pressure and a panic attack put me into the hospital. Main cause was having 1-2 zyns in for 14 hours or so a day. Been clean two weeks, became lot easier after the first one. Stay strong brother.

It's a huge step forward to put out into the world your wrongdoings and what you want to accomplish in the future. I unfortunately also use nicotine as a crutch in my life, but hearing you explain that your use of nicotine has deterred you from growing as a person makes me think about myself and how I know it does the same to me. We can be your accountability group but I'd like to join you in quitting nicotine cold turkey. I will watch every video you post from here on out and comment, "Day 'X' of no nicotine" because I would like to put out into the world that I want to better myself as a person as well and it starts with goals for yourself. This is huge. For YEARS I’ve been screaming at my screen “YOURE THE PROBLEM MATT”. I’m proud of you bro. This is a HARD thing to take accountability for but it pays insane dividends in the long run. I’m 26 and have been divorced twice and have had at least 3 other serious relationships that ended badly and every time I said “that bitch is just crazy”. Once my last divorce went through I sat in my apartment completely alone for the first time probably ever and just stared at a blank tv screen for hours thinking about how if they were really the problem, I wouldn’t be the one alone after the breakups. I’d have people agreeing with me. But I didn’t. So I decided at that moment that every time I said something or did something to a woman whether that be at home or work, that I would gauge their reaction instead of just not caring what they thought. I realized quickly how misogynistic and shitty of a boyfriend and husband I was. Now 3 years later I’m 2 years into the best, healthiest relationship I’ve ever experienced. Change is hard, but so is everything else worth doing. I’ll go ahead and throw my vape away today. Let’s be accountable.

I’m in the process of fixing myself, I got divorced a few months ago. The bright side is that she didn’t hold a personal grudge against me and we still FaceTime so I can talk to my daughter. I wasn’t the husband my wife deserved or the father my daughter deserved, and that was a hard pill to swallow at first

Spent 6 years in the Marine Corps and have been addicted to nicotine since 2017. Went from cigarettes to Copenhagen long cut to Zyns.
I am 17 days nicotine free it has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life, but in doing so I have chosen to eat healthier, get back in the gym after 3 years of not touching it since I left the service. Overall I’m feeling so much better.
I’ve been married for 5 years as well, and although I my wife and I have been through a lot that brought us together, I wish I would’ve learned the lessons you’re learning now a lot sooner. It’s a good thing to reflect on ourselves and make ourselves better and I applaud you for that.
Once again, welcome to the no nicotine journey and just know that I feel your pain.

Hey Matt I really admire your accountability of this situation and your past relationships. I’ve had a few friends in the past go through something similar and my advice to them has always been to look into going to therapy. You say you’re unsure why you’re the way you are and a therapist could help you bring those apprehensions forward and give you the skills to look at them from a different angle. Especially with us guys there can be a stigma for talking about or showing our emotions but that’s such a backwards way of looking at things. You don’t have to be depressed to see a therapist because there’s always things emotionally that we can all work on. Your videos have been a huge source of laughter and happiness but I would want the same for you. And I’m not talking on some parasocial shit or anything like that just from human to human. I hope you’re able to get past this man but in the meantime we’ll be here watching the vids.

No bs, it’s one of the hardest addictions to quit. It’s ingrained in your head to always need some type of oral stimulation (no homo). I recommend always having something to pop in like some mints, gum or hell even push pops. If the cravings get too strong, try a very light dosage of nicotine pouches (I’m talking like 2 mg). I’ve been there man, it’s tough. But I promise there’s always upside and the grass is always greener. Just remain tough and remember that there was in fact a time when you didn’t need nicotine. You got this my man

Started on nicotine at 15, I'm 22 now. Finally decided to cold turkey it after an episode with high blood pressure and a panic attack put me into the hospital. Main cause was having 1-2 zyns in for 14 hours or so a day. Been clean two weeks, became lot easier after the first one. Stay strong brother.
I'm 23. Passed one year nic clean last month. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
