The H-5 looks weird to me in general it just doesn't look like a P51, it looks like a different plane based on the P51.

Too bad that axis fighters have almost twice the climb rate of any US plane except the P-51H(which has to fight jets almost every match which destroys that rule completely)
@@jakobc.2558 just do some side climbing, that's how axis players manage to get above spitfires.
@@FunkyEspelhoCat Does sidclimbing make me climb faster? No it doesnt and if the axis players also sideclimb (there is always that one guy with a brain who unlike every other axis player has a brain) you still have no hope
@@kerkize8907 It's cliche because it works, I always use side climbing when i'm playing with fw 190s and p47s, and although i'm never above all enemies, I don't need to worry too much about p47s/190s/109s toying with me using BnZ.

Small list but because of (insert aerodynamic maths) the plane is much better than the D variant. Also side note, the H variant never saw much combat at all. WW2 was over and when the Korean war started the D variant was much more numerous and thus while worse it was the type used instead.
and I think p-51-k is just p-51-d strapped with p-51-h's engine
The P-51H also had a 50 gallon fuel tank oriented vertically behind the seat and the fuselage was lengthened 13 inches to help avoid the center of gravity issues experienced in earlier models. The H was about 1,000 lbs lighter than the D model.
No parts were interchangeable between the D and H and parts were not readily available for the H . This is why it wasnt used in Korea in any capacity and parts for the H were not readily available

I had an F84 ignore my bait and ground pound. He became the bait but eventually we became overran because of morons who ignore air targets or helping a team member out.

@Genaro Scala Groundpounding is great for getting through really bad stock grinds, but yea helping teammates should always come first. It's really annoying when people just disregard that.
The p 51h is has a stronger engine even with the post war tune robing it of some power, but mainly is much lighter. I also believe it has further improve drag as well.

Btw the p51h had a more power 1650-9 merlins engine, lighter airframe, longer fuselage, longer tailfin and a more streamlined radiator than the p51 d models, that's the main reason for it's beast performance.

"K4 is fat and heavy" it just has a weight of 2.6 tons - a griffon Spitfire is 1 whole ton heavier so the H has actually twice the weight of a 109 K4 - no offense just a little correction

The K-4 has an takeoff weight of 3,7 tons in War Thunder and is about 400 kg heavier than the G-2trop.
So yes the K-4 is heavy, probably the heaviest of all Bf-109's.
@@martijn9568 Yeah because war Thunder is actually not that historical correct - the K4 is bad at low speeds because of it's Propeller - below 250 km/h It can just use 70% of the actual horsepower provided from the engine.

@@bluefox9436 Gaijen won't model half the flaws of the 109. In fact I do bleieve they cheat for axis. You know having to set an RE on fire 4 times to kill it.
I still like Ki-84 more, good speed, turn rate and with the 30mm cannnon it's awsome.

Dev's also like to just troll usa whenever possible. Bad flight models and stats, gives other countries better versions of our own vehicles. And give other countries better aim 9 missiles.
P51 H was an new plane with similar configuration and accessories. Lighter by about 900Lbs than D Mustang. Had Better Taller Tail, Wings, Engine that operated at 90 inches MP and used WM. Significant improvement over the D Mustang. Future H -Mustangs would have had more power and refinements, including a better Cylinder Head. It as fast as the larger engine Griffon Spitfire. BY1945 many Super Prop Fighter s were approaching and exceeding 500mph in level flight and approaching 6000 ft/min climb rates. Next upgrade would have been a Griffon in the Mustang with contrra-rotatating prop.. Pushing the limits of the early jets.
Love the p51! All of em. This one especially because in an uptier the enemies don’t climb ad at or a at top br it climbs just as well or better than the rest. Breath of fresh air each game.

The p51H was a postwar version of the p51H that was considerably lightened, giving it a higher top speed, altitude, and range, kinda badass. They never saw combat in Korea though sadly.
I've been playing alot of the k4 lately. Axis teams lose matches like crazy at 5.7 - 6.7 in my experience. They swarm bombers, climb in a straight line right off the runway, and flock to easy targets dropping all their altitude like in this video. Tip for Allied players have 3/4 people side climb to 7/7.5 km and work your way down, your team will win matches against Axis more often than not.

6.0 and around there is a very fun BR. There are so many good fighters, the p51H, the Bearcat, the ta152, the G56, griffon spits, Japanese fighters etc.

The same story with D5s and D30s, without the engine injection you don't climb too fast, don't have speed advantage or turn advantage over 109s until you are spaded. But once you are the plane just turns around and suddenly becomes very capable

Yes, this is what I've been born for. This is what I've been waiting for, this is what's all about.
8:30 it isn‘t like that all the time. I‘ve tested with a friend of mine the turn times of the k4,d30 and h and the result was that the k4 outturns the d30 and h at around 500km/h ias and wins most of the times dogfights at low to very low speeds, if you use the k4‘s flaps to the absolute limit, but above 500km/h ias the d30 and h outturn the k4 most of the time. You need to use the k4‘s flaps to the absolute limit to succeed. Note that the k4 used a constant of 20min of fuel while the d30 and h used their minimum of fuel
This is because Gaijen won't model the 109's shitty deflection rate. In fact it should actually be one of the shittier turners.
What's even funnier when you break the rules in a P-51 is when the enemy team can't shoot for shit. You're swooping and dodging and rolling around the sky, three 109s and a 190 up your ass and shots flying past you.
From what I've tested the only prop that can catch P51H in a straight line on the deck is A2D-1 Skyshark - American premium turboprop attacker, which is entirely in a league of it's own.

-"paddle" propeller blades for higher acceleration at low speeds, w/ better energy retention when turning (probably the most important aspect of the plane)

iirc only about 200 P-51Hs were built, and did not see service in WW2, as it entered production too late, very few P-51Hs exist today, but some are flight worthy

Differences between D and H:
- taller/bigger rudder
- thicker wings
- better engine
- revised fuselage (looks less box-y like the D model and edges are rounded)
I agree let the jet games/players be intimidated and kept in a state of fear and dread with the p51h at 6.7.

@@ltankhsd Eh, the Ta-152H wouldn't be up to par at its BR without the airspawn (stuff like the F4U-4B and 47M would wreck it if that were the case). In its current state, it's fine at 5.7 IMO.
As for winrates, I'd say that's more due to the allied teams' unending love for bombers and ground attack aircraft, an aircraft's performance shouldn't be solely decided by winrates.
That being said, I've gotten to experience the 51H at 6.7 and I gotta say, it wasn't that competitive. It's fine at 6.3 as I see it.

I have a nice story lol i was with my p63, i was near enemy af then i saw i dont remember but i think it was a b109 and we started fighting (due to our bad aim we didnt even make a hit lol) till we ran out of ammo, we just decided to turn on the smoke and we started flying together, i really enjoyed it untill one of my teammates zoom and boomed him and set him into fire i was kinda sad but that experience was really nice lol.

The P51H is 6.3 because of it's limited Water injection, also, the players you were fighting against sucked A$$, that 109 could have getting killed by anyone cus he approached you so bad, you didn't even counter really well either, but still got him, that proofs it.

I kinda like the way you talk in this video. In your older videos your talking was very shamely like you were fearing to talk and having long breaks even between words. But in this video you are really talking pretty straight forward and i like it.
Hey spit i know you like learning new things so i have a comment about it has a thicker wing so it produces more lift thought. That is infact wrong according to thin airfoil theory (you can dwell more into it on google) but basically from a very simple point of view it says that the lift curve slope of any non highly cambered airfoil is 2*pi*alpha(radians). This suggests that the thickness or any other geometric characteristic doesnt have any impact on lift produced which seems a bit bullshit but for the most part 2pialpha is a good rule of thumb slope value. One of the many downfalls of the theory is that it cant predict the stall angle and location. The thickness of the airfoil and many other factors come into play at that part. Its a bit longer to explain but if you want learn more just let me know

I've had decent luck with universal lately on late war belts.

The P51 in history’s dogfights isn’t the D model... it’s the H.
The p51H never saw service in any war. So either dogfights screwed something up or you are wrong.
@@biggstheman60 I know... it’s just that the fact that the history channel portrays the Mustang as a plane that is better than the Me109 in every way.
While in real life it has some flaws German pilots could exploit. Like the fact it has so many gallons of fuel it can’t climb as well.
However in 1944-45 (where most dogfights episodes with both planes takes place) was a time when most of the skilled Luftwaffe pilots were pretty much dead or captured.
Its good but it can only be playable if it has mixed battle at 6.3. Other than that as you can see in this battle enemy will have less attackers/bombers and you will have less fighters in your team. Its sucks.

The G 55/56 are faster I think.
The Re is harder to control and personally I have a pretty noobye crew and I can't pull a lot of G's constantly without blacking out

I play a lot of the H and I agree it’s a fantastic plane when played correctly. ( 80 percent of players won’t ) The H should stay where it is... the limited WEP holds it back ALOT. I would agree with MAYBE an up tier if they took off the limited WEP. Other than that I enjoyed the video.
Even when it gets up tiered with limited WEP I've still out performed most of the jets at that br, even the R2Y2's before they were nerfed.
Andrew Carpenter if you have a jet pilot that knows what they are doing... it’s going to dunk on the p51 H every time hands down... ESPECIALLY when it runs out of WEP.
P51H F4U4B p51d30 p47d28 and all of the p63s are the things you should go for to defeat axis teams

You forgot to break two rules, you didnt take max fuel, and you didnt equip any secondary weaponry such as bombs (i cant remember if the P-51H has bombs or rockets, cant be bothered to load up war tinder to check it)
