The P-51H is one of the best props in the game, as long as it doesn't face jets it can take care of about anything. It has a great climbrate, it's extremely fast and turns above average. Just the guns can be a little bit of a let down.

That thing is broken AF and the only guys defending it are the one who bought it.
I buy premiums and i occasionally like having fun with bombers (flown unconventionally) but i refuse to buy the Ju288. Sure i could have fun with it but i don't want to be part of the disease. Knock it up to 6.0 i thinks.

@@viruspter1dactl I meant disease as it's a spammed out bomber. Too many people don't climb just so they can intercept it. Update though. I started playing ground forces last summer and bought the JU288 during the Xmas sales to add to my German line up. Glad it's at 6.0 now.
@@viruspter1dactl It's not about the defensive armament. It's about the speed and mobility. Before it was moved up in the BR, if you were in a non-grif spit, yaks or any more agile fighters you simply couldn't keep up with it.

I like the idea of custom battles. Put yourself in a disadvantaged position against an enemy and then show a couple different ways you could handle the situation.
Hi DEFYN, thought I might give some input for the tutorials.
Players that start out usually lack the ability to do decent camerawork, energy management (basic manoeuvres) and fly defensively. Also "what do I need to pay attention to to find out the strengths and limits of my aircraft"
When getting those things right players need to finetune things, like awareness, decision making, flap deployment, wep/throttle usage, more accurate aim and more creative manoeuvres.
These subjects you might be able to cover with footage that you already have, and can be further illustrated with photoshopped pictures/screenshots.

288 is to WT air RB what arty is to WoT, generally used by less skilled people needing credits/SL because they can't achieve the same just getting good at other vehicles.

I stopped playing this game long time ago, but discovered your channel some time ago, and I love to watch your dogfights.
An idea for the guides that I would like to offer is a specific theme, like "Defensive manuevers" or "Setting up attacks" Show some custom battles where you can set up scenarios, and various ways to counter with different planes. I would do smaller videos, but make playlists with various common scenarios, that would be good for beginners. That way, you can use a variety of planes and show the thought process in making decisions to give you the best chances. Keep up the good work, and don't stress too much about timeline, they're free for us to enjoy, and we all know that they'll come when they come.
The topics aren't the problem it's how I cover them, I want a good method of getting the point across. The rest won't be much of a problem
Freaking Ju-288, prefectly balanced premium plane as usual.
the problem of the Ju-288 is the tail gunner was on the cockpit thus making it difficult to kill it unlike the lancaster and B17

one of the few times in my life i see a p51h doing alright in a match. 9/10 you see it's tail disappearing in the distance or circling it's own airfield.
Because no one knows how to be aggressive with it like this. Everyone thinks its just a faster D-5 or D-20 Dstang. Same problem with the D-10, D-30 in regards, but the H is an entirely different horse compared to the Ds

IJH SA it can. P51H5 is 6.3 and the 262A1 is 7.0. Iirc the F8F is 6.3 as well.

The 288 is so broken, but at least you were flying something with high fire chance rounds.

It amazes me how you get into a game and all of the 109's are shooting like fucking drunken moneys, but the literally millisecond I get into a game I get my shit stuffed so fucking hard it probably turned to diamond. Actually amazing.

10:00: What's funny is that somthing similar happened to me on Norway. I wasn't set on fire (thankfully), but a AAA gun at A hit me in my water at like 5KM. I was in a D30, and my water drained very quickly so I ended up landing at A waiting for the landing craft to take it. I wasn't alone too, a F82 lost an engine somehow, and he ended up landing there to.
Also hi new sub here, an example I can think of for a guide can start of with the basics and get more advanced. No I dont mean welcome to Areonautics 101, I mean the theory behind Energy fighting, Boom and Zoom, and Turn Fighting. Then if you want you can pair it with gameplay, but that may not be necessarily as a visual aid of some sort would help.
That kill in the beginning was awesome
P-51H was about 50 mph slower than the Me-262 but had the aerodynamics to catch them in a dive. Later models of the new Mustang would have had more power. Most of the top prop planes could or soon hit 500 mph. in level flight. Figure msst would end up with contra-rotating props like the Mk22 and Mk24 Spits.would add a bit of speed but climb rates of 6000ft/min

Definitely some times of scissors.
Not really scissors though. DEFYN is in control the whole time taking a wider roll with his better maneuverability at speed to get behind the opponent for the kill. In a proper scissors I’d expect to pull towards the other guy for a while and then roll and go back to turn the other way. These guys are continously rolling and turning it’s just the mustang is better at it. I think? Anyway I guess we all agree it’s some sort of reversal not unlike a scissors.

What most guides fail to address is when the enemy and you are both competent and will follow the same broad guidelines. At these times you need to pull a trick up your sleeves. And thats when I fucking die
If you can consistently pull off the guidelines all thw time, then the enemy will eventually make a mistake

the powerful 3 x 23mm' of the La-9 will rip the Ju 288 apart from behind, but one seldom survives the encounter!
Sometimes when I play this plane I actually feel bad for the German planes I play against. I remember when I fought two k4s at once and dominated them. They just couldn't keep up as I flew loops around them. The really sad thing is that there are two planes that can fight the many many many p-51hs that play every 6,0 game. The TA0-152 H-1 and G-56 and ki-87 can beat this thing but there is never any of them to counter this wonderful plane. The reason of course is that they all have ridiculous repair costs and the mustang doesn't. Please keep it that way Gaijin just reduce the 152s repair and remove air spawn and all will be fine (That and the g-56) I don't even play Germany and I can tell something is wrong. I feel bad. Not saying a162s need a beff or they will end all bombers and stomp they're good now

I’d like to suggest your videos contain a second component. The one where you fly and showcase the aircraft is (always) great. But how do you fight it? How do you exploit its weaknesses? What fighter is effective against this mark of Mustang?
Normally i'd say what the plane is bad at, but the plane isn't really bad at anything. It can deal with any prop in the game except for the A2D
The guns are weak, but you cant really abuse that in the enemy team
That's very interesting. Thanks Defyn. What I'm saying is that (just as for input into your new format) just a little discussion of how to fight an aircraft in that BR might be useful. Just as an example, if I'm in a Spitfire LF mk. IX - do I have no chance? I don't fly BF 109's but a lot of pilots do. How would they fight it? Just some thoughts to help (I hope!).
I get what youre saying, but if i have to cover every plane to say how to fight it, id end up with 2 hour long videos.
I try to give you the weaknesses and you will have to figure how the rest on your own by looking what the strengths of the plane youre flying are.
Fair enough. Just trying to give some input. Certainly saying it's weak at this and weak at that and stall speed is low/high would be a real help, I think.

Against Fw 190 Ds you have to watch out that they don't get you into a low speed upwards spiral because then they have the advantage due to their massive engine power.
They do have power, but they don't have the turnrate to do anything with it if you position yourself right. Which is quite easy to do considering you dont go into the dogfight going 300 x)
@@DEFYN well some people follow Fw's in the vertical and when they all of sudden decide to go into a upwards spiral most planes get a lot of trouble keeping up with them.

Oddly enough I prefer to fly this thing against early jets, I like the challenge and also being able to pick off dogfighting jets. As long as I don’t have to fight f-89s
The kikka was 6.7 because it engine power was worse than the me 262 but gaijin buff it a couple patches ago and it now alot better still makes me wonder why it's still 6.7

400 in general is better, but I tend to shoot from a decent distance so I like having a bit further of a convergence. Just shoot at the range you feel comfortable at. At slowly add meters over time

Almost none of these kills would be possble if the people just thought for a bit and didnt dive down or just didnt climb in a vertical. Good job on exploiting thay :D i love your videos

Im loosing so mutch lions playing this thing but im sure once i get the hang of it ill be having more fun with it. Tips would be appreciated specificly with how to definsive fly in it
A better set of advice would be how to avoid having to defensive fly in it; defensive flying usually means you're already about to die.

Please just include some "bad" games too. Since we can't learn from those games where everything plays to your cards. I'd like to see what you do when Ta 152 starts with 2+km alt advantage etc. I'd like to see your mistakes, and how to avoid them. Because as of now, i absolutely despise everything american except the XP-50 and the F2G.

A few days ago I had to fight 3 fighter and the Ju288 on low alt at once in my Tempest mk. 5. Outplayed all won against all 3 fighter and the Ju288 just killed me then...

It's quite underated, it's mostly flown by new jet players which makes it seem like it's useless probably

@@DEFYN how, HO is MUCH faster, handles about as well as a prop in a turnfight, has decent acceleration, no longer rips, has better firepower...
Kikka has a bit of a thrust advantage but handles like a bus at ANY speed ... at low it just doesnt have the lift at high it totally compresses
Ho is in that nasty overpowered bubble of being able to outrun anything it cant outturn and able to outturn anything that can outrun it while often being able to do BOTH at the same time ...
Kikka has ONE trick - its thrust, in every other aspect its horrible ... if i could fly HO229 copy in my Jap tree as a jet grinder instead of Kikka i would take it in a heartbeat over jet that cant turn, cant zoom and runs out of ammo in few seconds ...
and you want to put it at 7.7 where it would get stomped on by G91s, Mig15s and Swifts xD
This was before 7.7 was seperated, I don't care about a plane getting slammed in an uptier. That's much better than a plane slamming a whole BR because it's undertiered.
The kikka is a onetrick yes, but it's virtually impossible to kill for props due to the stupid amounts of thrust and the ability to roll which makes hitting it a chore when it outruns you, and it does that all the time.
It's not about which plane is better, it's about 6.0s not seeing this thing.
The kikka is extremely overpowered right now, the only drawback is that it's not easy to play

as it is all i see in Kikka are 7.0+ battles mostly getting clubbed by F89Ds as is ... hell when i fly my A2D-1 Kikka is basically a free kill for me while HO229 is a NIGHTMARE ...
how i see it the Kikka is problematic for you because you prefer energy and stall fighting which doesnt work against plane that simply has its speed advantage ignoring the fact there are MUCH better planes in that BR spread that will dunk on props HARDER than Kikka ever will - Ho229 and Vampire will run circles around poor Kikka any day, which is why they are at 7.3 ... put Kikka at 7.0 and it faces Banshees, Yak23, LA200, Meteor MK8 or J/A 29B ... put it at 7.3 and it can get shot down by Vietnam Era missiles ... xD
PS: dont know if you mean the hard separation that should be between 9.7s and 10.0s and if that same is the case for 7.7 (never heard of that one) BUT as of last patch the 9.7 barrier doesnt work and 9.3 jets do see 10.0-10.3 supersonics again ...
