Hey, I'm 59 and need income. I did this before 20 years ago for fun, now it's for bills. Thank you these videos. Now I have a question if you don't mind about identifying silver. I bought a heavy, silver dish at a thrift today. It has kind of a rope detail about the edges with a shell and flourishes at compass points. On the back, there are spots and streaks of deep tourquise. There is tarnish especially around the ropy edges. There is no mark at all. I think I can see a speck of copper under a tourqouse spot. Is it more likely to be silver plate?
I can help, but need to see it. I help a lot of resellers make money to pay their bills and then some. You can send me photos or show me during a video call. All details are on my website.
Hundreds! Lol. I took your advice and reinvested my portion of my grandmother’s estate sale profits in thrift store art I plan to resell. It’s turned into a substantial side business (I am a psychologist). I have done a video appraisal with you (it was a Victorian high carat gold serpent setting for a scarab seal intaglio charm/pendant); but now I have literally thousands of pieces. I am going to sign-up for Dr. Lori next month for help. I am good with dating from the back on frames/canvases 1500-1915 and 1970-present, but those early middle years of the 20th century are fuzzy. I would love to have a question featured on your show! I’m your biggest fan.
@@kevinvalentine6379 I think this is a great question for Ask Dr. Lori ... paintings during this period go through many changes based on movement just as the world was going through many changes during that time, circa 1915-1970 (political turmoil, social realism, World War II, post war modernism, etc.) so the artwork goes from highly realistic to very abstract/non-objective. Yes, I will discuss this more in an upcoming video. Thanks for the great question. So glad the channel is making your side business successful and that my info and videos helped! I can help, but need to see it. I need to verify if that is the name (I see many incorrectly identified signatures). I need to determine if the signature if real or fake. @Nathaniel Mata Now you know how old those frames are! Take time to eat something! Pack a chocolate bar for energy--comes in handy when you are antique/thrift shopping. Good luck. $2 is a deal.

Good information 👍
Happy to hear it! Don't forget to share!!
Thank you! Gbu😀😀
Thank you for watching!!
Can you can you tell me about Marcelo painting
I can help, but need to see it. I need to verify if that is the name (I see many incorrectly identified signatures). I need to determine if the signature if real or fake. I need to see the other factors that affect value. I need to see what type of work you have (watercolor, painting, print, etc.). Use my website to send me photos or show me during a video call.
I need to just hurry up and get your subscription appraisal service. My house looks like I robbed a museum! LOLOL
If I could remember half of what she tells me, I'd be a rich man.
I'm helping a lot of people make money. Take me shopping with you, then you don't have to remember :)
@Nathaniel Mata Now you know how old those frames are! Take time to eat something! Pack a chocolate bar for energy--comes in handy when you are antique/thrift shopping. Good luck. $2 is a deal.
@elainesdomain I'll keep showing you all the money in antiques. Don't listen to those people who say you can't get that much for that antique--I'll show you they are wrong.
Me too she’s brilliant
Right..! I can write info down & lose the paper, I need a lil book..lol

My best find so far thanks to your knowledge! An original Vinicio Castillo with original frame I paid $5.50 for on half price day, worth $1,400 to $2,000! Wow!!!
I help a lot of resellers, thrifters and resellers make money. Keep shopping, it's out there.
@@DrLoriV Your tips on looking at more than the actual painting really helps, from the style of frame to the nails indicating its' age. Thank you 😊
@@francesh3423 Happy my vids are helpful! Don't forget to share so others can benefit.
My son & his friends are thrift store pickers. The friend found a Nike basket for. 50 cents. Value $300- sold it online for $125-. Always on the hunt.
Yes, if it was me I would have, but it was my SON friend. Lol, you have taught us well. Thank YOU Dr. Lori.
Whats does it mean when a painting says “printed in Korea” and it is a older painting
Many factors affect value. Need to see it. Send me photos at www.drloriv.com/find-values/online/online-appraisal-form/ or schedule a video call at www.drloriv.com/find-values/from-your-video-call/. See how on my website.

This video has me scratching my head I have a picture frame with a board just like this and the photo is supposed to be my grandmother but the photo of her and timeline don't add up the photo is added later....or maybe not her at all in the frame I know her old when I was born so I can't determine one way or another lol
I can review your piece to help identify it. See my website for details at www.DrLoriV.com
