I am a FIT alumni with a degree in fine art. I paid for my schooling working as a framer in Chelsea in NYC. I spent my career doing anything but art. I did have a straight A’s in art history and now I am a part time reseller on eBay. I can’t believe how much knowledge Dr Lori has. It’s incredible to witness. I thought I had some knowledge but binge watching her videos proves I know nothing!! I think I learned more in the last two months than I did in my 30 years of working!!
Love Dr. Lori's art vids. I'm an artist and she confirms what I have learned over the years. It's nice to get validation of what I had to research long and hard, from someone like her. Pay attention people!
Your training must have been top notch because you’re phenomenal at identifying and valuing objects. I am so grateful to benefit from your knowledge. Thank you for all that you do, Dr. Lori!
Dr. Lori, I just came across your video while I was researching my thrift store find. I enjoyed your vid and am learning, will watch more and, hopefully I will be able to share my painting with you sometime soon. You Rock, thank you.
I love you ! No life no kids !! I laughed my butt of ...Iam curious of the nail comment on spacing ...Thank you for all your knowledge and sense of humor....And for being YOU !!
I have watched a good string of your videos on paintings and have taken some good notes and lessons which will help me- thank you, I think you are cool.
You are so knowledgeable in your field and so kind and and devoted to aid the people who in normal circumstances would never have access to your expertise. I thank you for all you have taught me it has been a joyful and valuable experience.
Love your content and educational approach. It's great seeing the words you use to describe a style, period, etc. Helps me and I'm sure others a great deal. Appreciate you.
Hey! Love your videos! I want to ask you a question. What are your thoughts on serigraphs and lithographs of prominent painters (Dahli, Picasso, Basquiat, etc.)? Is there value in those pieces? Thank you so much for your wisdom and sense of humor for beginners in this passion!
This style of video is nice... no commercials for your newsletter or pricing services, which are great by the way, but the volume and repetioin of them can weigh heavy after dozens of videos.
The newsletter is full of helpful information and I want as many people as possible to get it so I mention it. I never viewed it as a commercial; I saw it rather as a gift of more info.

Using my Ph.D. in art history, I can help answer your specific questions about your piece and its artist. We could discuss it during a video call. I need to see the piece to verify what you really have. Video calls can be scheduled in my calendar on my website.
I knew about the effect of horizontal and vertical lines, but I never considered the effect of diagonal lines... Thank you for pointing this out! Incidentally, I also like that painting. Not sure why. I love your sense of humor, but you gotta be careful about what you insult, because there are people who will absolutely think your thighs are fabulous. i.e. - my Uncle, who for your sake, is happily off the market. 😀 Edited for spelling.
Dr Lori, I watch your videos as much as possible. You place a lot of importance on the frame. How much damage does one cause by removing the frame? I am one of those people who brought my artwork after a long over seas stay. I removed the frame and brought the painting back rolled up . Please talk about it
if you use the binge link for my channel videos, you will find the ones where I show you how to decifer the artist's signature or chicken scratch as the case may be.
I can help appraise it. I need to see it. I can look at photos, you can bring it to an event, or you can show it to me during a video call. Please see the details on my website.
@@DrLoriV Well, Lori. I can thank you for giving me inspiration today, to get some framing finally finished! :) Headed out to the grocery store. Hopefully I will leave thew LARGE-sized Tolberone bars alone... :P
