OMG Luise, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this spontaneous reaction to my video!!! :))) You are incredible! I nearly choked laughing (because I was eating falafel) when you said "What do you think, Barbara?"!!! I love how fearless you experiment and I adore your results! I don't think I'm as talented to do something like this! :)
Be quiet! Eat your falafel and then try it! I am pretty SURE you will get the most amazing results! Thank you so much for your reaction and making my day brighter with your lovely messages on Instagram!
A pimp is a man who advocates, encourages, and traps women and children into sex for his own financial gain. It is as reprehensible as the 'N' word and should never be used when the meaning is actually 'spiff' or 'jazz' or 'dress up' or 'decorate' or even 'preen'. It should certainly never be used in reference to a craft mainly practiced by women. Your refusal to acknowledge and change the use of this word is disgusting.
@@Gothlite-i1l I really don't believe that this lady meant any kind of damage to female humanity. It is true that the origin of the word is as you say, but it has been around for a long time to mean 'primp' i.e. improve. I use coffee and food coloring and start with white paper and use a medium to large paint brush and/or a spray bottle and just splash it on the papers. The coffee first and let it dry then with a color. The results are very surprising and beautiful. Your way looks gorgeous too. Can't wait to try. I live in the desert of New Mexico and have a very large sun room where I do this and I have set several window screens up like tables and do the coloring there then I can just leave them there to dry that usually takes around an hour in the heat of the sun room. So happy to see a variation of my technique. Isn't it fun ❤❤❤. Your papers turned out beautifully. Thx for sharing 😊😊😊
Wow! This is so clever! And Luise, your English is so much better than my German will ever be. Don't be self conscious. If you've got it, flaunt it, girl!
I just watched this. I'm a card maker who doesn't throw out my scraps and needed something to do with them and have started junk journaling. Your videos have given me lots of ideas. I take notes then add my own ideas. I would take a black pen and outline the shapes and designs I'd see. You saw mushrooms. I saw a girl with a short pig tail and bow in her hair, an ostrich, a chicken and a cat. Can use metallic or white pens too. Upon all this marbled look, try adding a swipe of gold, rose gold, copper or silver. Or use with stencil. Gold looks awesome. Thank you Barbara, for giving you ideas on which you extended on. Then you gave me ideas upon which I extended on. Fun! I also save and use tea bags. Your "pimp" video was great. In the US we "pimp" things up to make them better. Yes, the word pimp was ok to use. There's even TV show Pimp My Ride. Keep up the good work! Danka!
1. I admire how brave and experimental you are. 2. Your accidental or purposeful collaborations with Barbara are always enjoyable. 3. Your laugh and English are a delight!
I'm spoting a lot in your paper. Treasure map, trees, a monster, alien planets, galaxies far far away and different magical places. Brilliant. Fascinating experiment.
I pressed the subscribe button at “first of all you will need… a cup of coffee to drink 😄😄😄”. Your sense of humor is just what I needed as I’m stuck in bed with a back injury, in pain, for who knows how long, watching paper crafting videos… my best to you and thank you for sharing your good cheer and wonderful technique.
You and Barbara are so fun together! Two years later I am just finding this video. I can't be the only one who exclaimed "Kitty!" at 16:34. ( Mostly in dyed papers though I see people. Doing. Things. And then they were tattooed people. Once you see, you can't unsee, lol.) You are so creative! I love watching you create. Also you probably know by now two years later, but the one where you get only the negative space with your ink, we call a "mask" and the one where you get the positive space of the design is the stencil. I wish I could speak a second language as well as you speak English!
Wowsers!! Doing the stencilling on top has added so much depth to the paper! So beautiful. I loved the first one that you didn't like. To me, it looked a bit like coral in the ocean once you'd finished with it.
I agree with Barbara! I love how fearless you are and how you leap right in and through everything you do! Thank you for encouraging us all to go for it and see what we get and what happens!
Such a great idea using the hair straightener that way. I paused your video and went to dig mine out straight away. It's been gathering dust for years because I actually like my curls 😁 can't wait to try it that way.
The result of your pimp up coffee dyed papers turned out gorgeous. They are very interesting to look at. Great technique. I must give this a try. Thanks for sharing.
What happy results! Love your laughter and happy surprises. You may know Shirley Temple said, “Oh, my goodness” in one at least of her movies. Happy, happy! Love your search for English words. And yes, I do know what you mean!

Your English is excellent. I couldn't make a video in another language. The word you were looking for is OVEN PAN. The little tool is a PIPETTE. Beautiful papers. I'm inspired. Thanks
Oven pan? I'm 65 and have never heard of an "oven pan". Maybe it's a regional term? There are pans of different sizes and uses, that do go in the oven, but in California we use the specific names: Cookie sheets...low edge, apx 11x16 inches. Roasting pan...smaller than a cookie sheet, but with higher sides to contain meat juices and chunks of vegetables. Those sometimes have a lid. Then there are jelly roll pans, cake pans etc. I assumed she was referring to something comparable to a cookie sheet or roasting pan.
Oh!My!Stars!!! So happy I found this video. Ive watched it twice. I'm addicted. But want to tell you the magic really happens when you do layers of stencils. Like a grid then a floral, or a floral over leaves, etc. The results are outstanding!!
I´m in love with the result. Something you can try, if you took your dropper, and you release a drop of coffee o ink from a height of 30 cm approimately, you can get a beautiful splatter. Thank for sharing all your knowledge. I´m learning so much with you and Barbara. Regards from Buenos Aires.
Louise, Girl, these papers rock! They are so outstanding. Anyone would be proud to use them in their journals! Yay! You're amazing. Thanks for sharing. B
I am very tempted to try out this style of yours after seeing what you have created, the one you didn't like looked very much like a fish pond, it even had a little fish in the middle looking cheakily up at you.
