A pimp is a man who advocates, encourages, and traps women and children into sex for his own financial gain. It is as reprehensible as the 'N' word and should never be used when the meaning is actually 'spiff' or 'jazz' or 'dress up' or 'decorate' or even 'preen'. It should certainly never be used in reference to a craft mainly practiced by women. Your refusal to acknowledge and change the use of this word is disgusting.

@@rachellee.9389 I really don't believe that this lady meant any kind of damage to female humanity. It is true that the origin of the word is as you say, but it has been around for a long time to mean 'primp' i.e. improve. People use it without knowing it's original connotation, so please do not be offended by the use in this video. Kind regards Elaine

I just watched this. I'm a card maker who doesn't throw out my scraps and needed something to do with them and have started junk journaling. Your videos have given me lots of ideas. I take notes then add my own ideas. I would take a black pen and outline the shapes and designs I'd see. You saw mushrooms. I saw a girl with a short pig tail and bow in her hair, an ostrich, a chicken and a cat. Can use metallic or white pens too. Upon all this marbled look, try adding a swipe of gold, rose gold, copper or silver. Or use with stencil. Gold looks awesome. Thank you Barbara, for giving you ideas on which you extended on. Then you gave me ideas upon which I extended on. Fun!
I also save and use tea bags. Your "pimp" video was great. In the US we "pimp" things up to make them better. Yes, the word pimp was ok to use. There's even TV show Pimp My Ride. Keep up the good work! Danka!

I use coffee and food coloring and start with white paper and use a medium to large paint brush and/or a spray bottle and just splash it on the papers. The coffee first and let it dry then with a color. The results are very surprising and beautiful. Your way looks gorgeous too. Can't wait to try. I live in the desert of New Mexico and have a very large sun room where I do this and I have set several window screens up like tables and do the coloring there then I can just leave them there to dry that usually takes around an hour in the heat of the sun room. So happy to see a variation of my technique. Isn't it fun ❤❤❤. Your papers turned out beautifully. Thx for sharing 😊😊😊

You and Barbara are so fun together! Two years later I am just finding this video. I can't be the only one who exclaimed "Kitty!" at 16:34. ( Mostly in dyed papers though I see people. Doing. Things. And then they were tattooed people. Once you see, you can't unsee, lol.) You are so creative! I love watching you create. Also you probably know by now two years later, but the one where you get only the negative space with your ink, we call a "mask" and the one where you get the positive space of the design is the stencil. I wish I could speak a second language as well as you speak English!

First a big thanks for making a other great video 👍🙂👏👏
Next..jeg have bought some cheap small spray bottles and make my own spray colors. I use both my water paint and my acrylic paint mixed with water. If I want to store them I put a tiny bit of alcohol in. But I only make the colors I use a lot, maybe 3-4 colors and only store them for a month or so. Remember to dry the hole where the paint comes out.
There a lots of videos on RUclips 🙂
Hope some can use the tip..👍😉

It is the most exciting fun thing I have found since I have been disabled in 14 years. I was A911 police dispatcher for 26 years and have not been able to find anything that reached me like this has. I love your videos my question my question is how do you manage living in a caravan? Do you have a separate studio? I have hardly just begun and yet my stash is taking over. Do you have any suggestions?
I was so very sorry to read about your ocean eyes journal. Not sure what Barbara thinks, but I can't imagine she wouldn't love it. I Like it... really nice and different, and I can see so. many uses. On the one you said it destroyed, what would happen if you used just a water-damp blending blush rather than using an ink, because the water should pull the color from the distress inks/oxides leaving a white-ish which would be a greater contrast? In a way, that's what you did with the white guess.

      Oven pan?
I'm 65 and have never heard of an "oven pan". Maybe it's a regional term?
There are pans of different sizes and uses, that do go in the oven, but in California we use the specific names:
Cookie sheets...low edge, apx 11x16 inches.
Roasting pan...smaller than a cookie sheet, but with higher sides to contain meat juices and chunks of vegetables. Those sometimes have a lid.
Then there are jelly roll pans, cake pans etc.
I assumed she was referring to something comparable to a cookie sheet or roasting pan.

Luise, GOOD GIRL!! You found it! ...the dripped water on dried coffee dyed paper! I stumbled into it too and LOVE it! Never do I do a batch of paper and not do a bunch like that! Today (I was gonna do some chores, but NAHH) I think I'm gonna do some coffee and blue and some coffee and maybe a mossy green. You and Barbara are the BEST! Love, hugs, and coffee from the southern California desert, MK ❤ 🤗☕ 🏜

Beautiful dear ,, an easier way is to put the stencil on the wet paper (but not dripping) and press it on the paper and leave it to dry the marks will be only on the wet areas

Stunning work! I am going to try this idea. On the third page the first stencil the gesso looked 3D . On the 4th page the gesso pretty. All your ideas are simply gorgeous. Thank you for sharing 🏵😻💐🌼🎉🌻

Hi from Louisiana, USA…I found you from Barbara’s videos. Love how you can laugh when you think you have made a mistake. Just a suggestion, you can always add water with the Distress Oxide…very cool effects and covers up things you might not like. Love your creativity! Need to catch up with all your videos😊. Thanks, Tracy
