If it’s a mess, it’s a gorgeous mess! Thank you so much for always sharing with us your experiments and explaining how you think through it all. I am sure everybody else agrees that we are soooo lucky to have a teacher like you.
OMGosh, I am sitting screaming here thru the screen!!! Is this the yummiest batch of scrap papers I've ever seen? This is a true junk journaling art! You might want to add some Gold to the mix, lol! I love it and love the grunginess of it. You are so talented and so creative Luisa. I love that you take chances and think outside the box and stick to your passion and love of junk journaling. That's what this craft is all about! hugs from Boston!
"What if ... your scrap paper is boring?" 😅 SUBSCRIBED. You have captured my perpetual dilemma, Ms Luise. I will be binge watching all your gorgeous videos. The intro to your videos alone has my mouth watering for more... oh my goodness. Thank you so much. You are a gift to the world 🌍
I enjoyed this video about how to use up scraps. The part of the video that I LOVED was when you breathed a heavy sigh and said, " There are those days when I'm totally in love with my own ideas!" Seriously, it made me smile because I know what that feels like. I'm in love with your idea too and will share it with others but probably not as humorously as you did. Thanks for sharing your valuable idea with us.
What a fabulous idea! I had a small pile of scraps and trims that I just couldn't throw away but they were cluttering up my table. Now they are quite beautiful and are awaiting duty on a collage. Thank you for this!
These scraps could just be their own collage! I hope you made or will make photos of these in the stages of the process - they would be wonderful to print and use as MORE collage scraps! Genius. Love the way you get into your work with your "finger tools" and "feel" the mediums! Thank you for another great idea!
I have found I have friends and family that when I show them my grungy art pieces like this they just look and smile. They just don’t get it and say comments like “well, I guess that’s art” or “Yeah” then walk away. Then, there are others who squeal with delight or sigh (as you did). They are my soul partners and we connect. ❤
This is awesome! Just playing with inks, stamps and scraps!! This to me is what junk journaling is all about. The freedom to explore and create with your supplies on hand. Thanks so much for sharing your process 👏👏👏. The results are fabulous 💗
you have an awesome arty brain luise!! these scraps are gorgeous and each piece is so interesting. thank you SO MUCH for sharing your neat process with us all.
Holy Moly!!! I could watch you do this all day long. I'm definitely going to try this. You didn't just jazz up your scraps, you took them to the moon and back! I don't know where you get these ideas but I can't wait for more!
I am now binge-watching your shows. I love your style and the way you teach. I consider you “The Wizard of Glorious Grunge. “ Thank you for sharing. You make me smile.
Bravo! 🙌 In the junk journal laboratory with Luise! Brilliant!I think the biggest lesson is you can’t mess this up enough! You can’t make a mistake because the more messy the layers and then more layers and splashes and stamps equals voondabah masterpiece! Dr. Luise is in the paper lab and she is on fire! Beautiful grungy mess! I love it!
Luise, this project has turned out beyond amazing!! Your the 'mad scientist' playing in her creative lab!! You so often take your art pieces at least 5 or 6 steps beyond where I would have stopped, thinking they looked fine. THATS what is so cool about your video lessons Luise. You always go above and beyond. Thank you ever so much for all of your shares!
You're totally right, Luise dares doing things without regarding if it will fail. That's the secret. Tru, experiment, make, remake and that all with pleasure, a huge fun. Thanks a lot Luise.
This was fun! The grandkids had friends overnight, and in the morning we began this with my scraps. We made a beautiful mess!!!!!!!!!!! Because there were so many of us, it took 4 hours. Thank you for the lovely fun
That's a pile of chaos! A big gorgeous, grungy pile of chaos.❤❤❤ There were several times where I shouted out "That's enough! It's perfect the way it is!" But you kept adding more coffee and ink.☕🎨 And more. And more. And that's why you're Luise and I'm not. 😄 I would have stopped way too soon. It's so fun to watch your creative process.👍🏻
Oh Luise, that brain of yours! You know, I have a dear friend who looks at grungy things I show her and she actually winces. But we know, don’t we, what true beauty is. Yum yum.
Yes, after awhile the same old scraps become boring and uninspiring. I also like the effect that the interaction between the coffee and gesso makes. Thanks for sharing your idea and this technique with us! ~Marci
Fantastic ideas--do one--do them all--great way to jazz up a tired stash to be sure and what a great break from "deep thought"' crafting like page layout and color choices etc. Lookout scraps--here I come--dirty palette, strong coffee, multi-stamps and all 😎 tfs 🌻
This feels like a great project for people who are learning to let go of control and perfection! This looks so fun! I would be totally tempted to toss all the finished pieces in the air like confetti 🤣 These turned out great!
I found this video due to a reference on Instagram. I love this idea! Especially in days you want to play with your supplies or use what you have in front of you. There is so much creativity in these scraps!
What a fun, messy way to create awesome scraps. I love what you have done, and this video gives me so much inspiration. I love playing with scraps and it just got better for me. Thank you for sharing your ideas and for the taking the time to show us. You are appreciated
I’ve been reading through all these comments looking for the same. Those long stamps at 14:59 - the ones right before the Tim Holtz stamps. That one with the mushrooms was especially delightful.
You did REALLY well on your pronunciation of the word “anonymous”. That’s a hard one even for those whose first language is English. And while we’re on the topic I’ll add, if I were to try and make a video speaking German, it would be a silent video. So I think you should never feel like you have to apologize for not knowing an English word (of course not that it happened in this video. Just thinking of past videos.😉). Love the way this project turned out.
This is brilliant....YOU are brilliant and my favorite part of the whole video is when you said "There are those days where I am totally in love with my own ideas" You crack me up!! Thanks for sharing this great idea. I'm definitely going to be trying it.
I must say the success was adding the purple color in the minimal amount, ALL of the testing was a success, your creative ideas are great. I love your approach to this "Mess" as you called it. It was fantastic!!
Oh my goodness!! To spend a day with you in your studio would be heaven on earth!! I loved the early parts where the scraps looked like a tossed salad, then it got better, and better, then the best. I think I need to buy more materials to get "in the game". I am a very plan/pattern oriented person--very little spontanaiety (SP!). I will try & see what I can do. Cant wait to watch & see what you did with all these beautiful little works of art/craft!
Thank you so much Luise, I really really enjoyed watching you create those gorgeous and stunning scraps. I came over from Tracie Fox 🦊 and I enjoyed watching her too. I shall have a go at this too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Oh my, 😍😍 , I love them too!! So very randomly cool. The secret is the watered down gesso. It just makes it. Thanks so much for sharing this brilliant idea. I have boring scraps now....must do something about that. 😉
This is the coolest idea I’ve seen yet. Love, love, love it soooo much! I am a fan of purple. I absolutely love how muted that distress color ended up being after dried. It really goes so well with vintage browns. I chuckled in the beginning when you talk about your basket of scraps. I have bins and bins of scraps. Yes, I have paper issues. LOL! Now I need to find some time to try this. Hugs.
Wow! Making random color on a single is timely and often they look contrived. YOU HAVE OPENED MY EYES!! You rock and so generous to share. Thank you for all the time you push the limits.
I love that even though all of us aren't an artist like you, we learn sooooo much from your videos. AND we can do this also. Thanks a million and hugs from the mountains in Tennessee!!
This was so fun to watch! I wanted to reach through the screen and savour those little wonders. Please please please tell me you'll be scanning and sharing/selling them for those of us who fell in love with every little bit of them.
I just want to tell you how much I appreciate that you do this in English I understand it's not that easy but it's a little hard for me to understand German but I still watch your videos in German but again thank you very much
Luise, it was so fun to watch you take scraps to a new level. Such a creative, artist you are. I never would have thought to splatter and stamp, then spray and splatter again. I loved the look of the dark coffee and gesso. I will have to try this. Blessings.
Words fail me...it's just so, so... incredibly you... Love it so much and gathering my scraps as I write this... lol.... Cheers for sharing your talent with us all Luise.... Blessings..
This was so much fun to watch, that I also watched the German version. I’m glad I did because it was so satisfying to see you mix the box together with all the scraps together. They were so pretty to look at. I loved the still photos at the end. Thaaaaaaank you so much💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
You are definitely a true genius! This is so amazing. My same color scraps are bigger and in a hanging file folder but I would go in and tear up several so I could try this.I have a small bench area in my boyfriends work shop so I would do your process there. These scraps are the greatest.Send a few to Barbara! Thank you so much for sharing. You are such an inspiration. You make everyone feel they too can do your crafting ideas Love you and Barbara
I keep a Special Trash can by my work area and I play a game with My Self where at the end of the month I have to do something with them. 😉 January’s were rather boring but I did manage to create some interesting backgrounds. I wish I would have Jazzed them up! 💃 🎶

Luise this is amazing. You have such a wonderful imagination and come up great ideas. You made the papers speak to us. The colors say WOW I'm beautiful. Thanks for teaching us how to step out and create. Hugs 🤗 to you.
Luise I still refer to this often. Having collage fodder ready made is such a time saver when I make deco pages. I am never deleting this video!
If it’s a mess, it’s a gorgeous mess! Thank you so much for always sharing with us your experiments and explaining how you think through it all. I am sure everybody else agrees that we are soooo lucky to have a teacher like you.

What fun. Makes me want to tear up some scraps and get playing!!
Just found this. Fabulous idea and execution. Can’t wait to try this. I do have the most boring scraps!
Wow. Great idea. Thank you for sharing.

Can you imagine doing this with just cardboard!? Torn up cardboard! Yessss!
This feels like a great project for people who are learning to let go of control and perfection! This looks so fun! I would be totally tempted to toss all the finished pieces in the air like confetti 🤣 These turned out great!
Wow, who would have thought? You are so cool! Very original and fun, and it is lovely to hear the excitement in your voice.
Genial! Kann man nicht mehr zu sagen🆒⚜️🆒Gruß aus der Ferne, Du❣️

Do you know the brand of the long stamps?
I would love to have them too!

Your creative process is refreshing and fun like playing in the fall leaves is fun! Thank you so much!
Yes- that’s a perfect analogy. I can image my kiddos ruffling piles of leaves just like she ruffles up her scraps- so FUN! 🍁
I must say the success was adding the purple color in the minimal amount, ALL of the testing was a success, your creative ideas are great. I love your approach to this "Mess" as you called it. It was fantastic!!
Your work with mixed media and the making of the videos is so absolutely unique and wonderful. I adore your work. Thank you.
Wow! They turned out great. With each layer they got more interesting.

as I said in the video... it's not allowed because of the copyright of the stamps... and some of the book page scraps are also not public domain...
