Welcome to Schofield welding I am Jake Schofield. We are a traveling Welding Family. We chase all kinds of welding work through the United States. Mostly oil and gas work. Which includes Pipelines,Facilities and Fabrication. I travel With my Wife Eliza Schofield our son Baylin Theo Schofield and our two dogs Ace and Itty. We have an exciting Episode of welding. We traveled down to Houston to Texas to visit with Weldtube, South Coast Welding Academy, Weld.com, Travis Fields, Kevin Martin and to join in on the judging part of Southcoast welding annual Welding Competition. In this episode we are in a weld off. Between Travis and Abraham (instructor) and me and Hjamar (lead instructor) here we are getting ready to weld out a 12" .375 wall downhill. hope you guys enjoy. That was some good stuff. Nothing better than a bunch of good men having some fun with a little completion built into it. You are an inspiration to the younger generation and old cats like myself learn different tricks from each of you.

I know your pipeline and you weld downhill. I'm just getting into the pipe welding trade but we weld uphill. My question is what advice can you give me to help with a single pass fill on 6in sch40 1/8 6010?

Another great video Jake, I do have a question for you. In Canada, we generally use reels for our leads as opposed to horns. Is there a particular reason you don't or just one of those things?
