I would walk 5000 miles to find a great, watchworthy knitting podcast, and I think I've found one in the Thoughtful Knitter. I really enjoy your presentations. Down to earth, fun and honest. Thank you!!
I have to agree Ailie that the cargill doesn’t flatter you and I suspect the yarn was not the best for the project so I think you should frog it and use that yarn for something else!! Congratulations on 5k!! And I really do love that t-shirt!! Great gift!!
I always find it strange when podcasters apologise for not being around for a while. As you are giving your time and sharing your beautiful project’s as free entertainment there should be no need. We are lucky to share your knitting with you. Thank you so much for everything you do and well done on achieving 5000 subscribers. I am looking forward to your next update whenever that appears x
That’s so kind Anita, thank you! 🥰 It always preys on my mind when I haven’t recorded, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest when others leave it ages between videos 😆🤭
Way to go, 5000 followers! Love your FOs & Wips. The Braids of grass jumper is beautiful as well as the crocheted cardigan. You should wear it proudly in public, it is beautiful! I am working on the Humlebi shawl by Fiber tales with yarn from Woolentwine. Looking forward to your KAL since I live in Maine, USA. Warm regards
Congrats on reaching over 5000 subscribers, which is a huge milestone. All your Fos are beautiful. I am busy working on the christmas gifts for my kids and friends. Thanks for the chance to win your beautiful yarn giveaway. Have a wonderful day.
Mazel tov sister! On hitting 5000,ten thousand loading.. Woop woop!! So am currently making a gorgeous green lacy sweater. Looking forward to more beautiful days ahead.
LisaR:Congrats on reaching 5000 subscribers ! I've been delighted by your episodes from the start . I appreciate the care you take in first choosing what to knit to suit your taste & needs. The FO's always look so well knit & finished - something I strive for , & admire !
Congratulations Ailie on the 5000 subscriber milestone. Thank you for taking us to the top of Scotland’s mainland and into your deep and diverse wool basket each episode. 🎄🎉🧶💕
Hello there, nice to hear we are already with 5000 of us who also enjoy your lovely podcast. Love your no nonsense style and your Scottish accent. Keep on going your own way, we like the way you do this. Greetings from a Belgian fan.
Congratulations on reaching 5000! So pleased that the giveaway includes supporting adventures in yarn craft, so pleased she managed to replace her wheelchair
Congratulations Ailie👏❣️ You've created such a welcoming place for every one of the 5000 subscribers 🤗 I'm knitting the Cargill Cowl, which may actually become a hat before I finish! All of your finished objects and wips are gorgeous and inspiring!!! Thank you ❣️ Terry in AK👋
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter Thanks! I had to put it aside for a while... Christmas mittens took over!!! But I'll get back to the Cargill soon ❤️ Happy New Year to you all ❣️
Lovely to see you, love your Shetland Wool Week hat - gorgeous colours. 🎉with 5000 subscribers and season’s greetings to you 🎅🌲 and hope your health much improves in 2023, take care!
Wow… 5000 subscribers already. CONGRATS Ailie It’s alway a joy watching you and your knits and now crochet too and i must say it’s lovely. Keep up the good work dear.
I enjoyed seeing your FOs and hearing about your upcoming plans. I hope your health improves enough to wear your lovely black garment sooner than later! The idea of Coorie in sounds wonderful. In Minnesota we have shorter days, too, but not nearly as short as you do! 5000 subscribers: congratulations! I wish you a special holiday time. Best-est wishes!
Thanks Lynn 💗 I’ve ended up putting the black Abydos Top on the back burner until next winter, but it will be made! I’d love to have you joining in with the Coorie In MAL 😃
Congratulations Ailie for 5000 subscribers. I am looking forward to my first grand kid due any day now. I have been knitting everything for the little one the whole summer and fall. My latest is a texture vest pullover with the “v”. I never knitted that neckband or texture pullover before. After trying to knit the pattern from my phone because I don’t have a printer, I decide I will not knit the back with texture. I will knit stockinette for the back. If I really like knitting the texture pullover, I would knit one for me. Continued success with the awesome podcast. Thanks for sharing and the lovely giveaway! Yes, there are no words for the awful acts of stealing a wheelchair. I am glad the lady was able to raise money to get a replacement. Keep up the wonderful with. Always looking forward to your next upload! Wishing you a lovely Christmas and happy knitting! ❤❤
Hi Ailie, thank you for being so honest in your thoughts about finished objects. It makes a very pleasant change. Sorry you haven't been feeling great. I hope you can relax and knit. I love your Braids of Grass. That was the first ever top down sweater I knit. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I look forward to watching you next year no matter how regularly you post. Look after yourself.
Congratulations on the well deserved 5000 subscribers! I too am a classic design wearer and definitely need items to fit under jackets. I wish I had the scraps to make that granny stripe cardigan, but it will definitely go into a wish list. It completely reminds me of my precious grandmother who made herself one just like it in the 70’s. 😊 Take care, heal and enjoy your Christmas season.
🥰 Thanks Carolyn 💕 Yes, sleeves that don’t fit under jackets are a right pain! Here’s hoping you can generate enough scraps over the year to make your very own Granny Go Round Cardi in memory of your grandmother 💗
5000 subscribers -that’s fabulous! Congratulations🎉🎉. I love seeing what you are working on and listening to your natural way of chatting about your projects. Stay well and have a lovely Christmas.
Congratulations Airlie on reaching the milestone of 5000 subscribers and now more. We all love hearing about your knits and sharing the joy of seeing them on you. Beautiful sweaters, they all look great and the colour choices for them are really lovely. Love the socks and the hats too. So entertaining and it will be interesting to see your Christmas cast-on or future knits. Have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers 👏 🙌 ❤️ I have enjoyed watching your knitting journal so much! Since I live in Israel Christmas knitting wasn't ever a thing I did, but this year I knitted a Christmas mouse and sent it to a dear friend of mine in the US just to feel like I'm part of the community this time of year. 🤣
Wow, over 5000 subscribers. Amazing achievement, congratulations. I love to hear all about your crafting and the wonderful projects you’re working on. Thank you so much for your effort and time. I can’t wait to hear from you again.
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I just love my time watching your podcast. Its just like having a friend in my living room. Your knits are always an inspiration. Thank you for all your time you give us and I hope your health improves soon.❤️
Warmest congratulations on 5000 subscribers! Very well deserved. I love your calm demeanour and your knitting is beautiful. I do hope your health improves and you can get out over the holidays. Thank goodness for knitting - it is so nice to have when we aren’t feeling well enough to do anything else. Margaret in British Columbia. ❤
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers! I love watching your podcast and seeing all your finished objects. You are an excellent knitter and a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with everyone. Have a Happy Holiday!
Congratulations 🎊 🥳🙌🥂🍾 5000 subscribers! How wonderful!! Can’t believe you’ve been going over a year, doesn’t seem like 5 mins ago! Or is that my age? The yarn prize is lovely, not in my usual range of colours but very beautiful indeed. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks!?!!?? 😂 I’m making socks for my father-in-law for Yule. He had a heart attack a month ago and has since then been feeling that his feet are colder so he’s had one pair of knitted socks from me and has been promised another for the day. He’s never asked for anything knitted before, he’s a life long farmer, now retired, and doesn’t have joyful memories of woolly socks of 70+ years ago when he was younger. I imagine they were a bit more rustic and unevenly spun going by his description. Mine, however, are bloody lovely and I’m “a good knitter” praise indeed from him I must say 😁!!! Anyhoo I’ve blathered on enough, hope you’re feeling better soon, take care xXx
Lovely to have you back, and delighted you felt well enough to film. Congratulations on 5000+ subscribers. I'm currently working on a Bulky weight cardigan for my Mum. It knits up fast, but I keep having to take breaks to rest my hands. I thought it was just me, until you mentioned the same in your podcast. 🙂
Hi Ailie, Lovely to see you and many congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I'm also on the Scottish coast but on the East and winter has definitely arrived here too. I love seeing all your beautiful knits. Take care x
Hey 👋 I hope you’re hunkering down with your knitting and avoiding the worst of the weather🤞🥶 PS I get overly excited when I ‘meet’ another Ailie, there aren’t many of us with this spelling!!
Congratulations on reaching the 5000 subscriber mark🎉👏 thanks for your honest, detailed description of your experience with each project, it is SO helpful in knowing how to make our own adjustments in knitting those patterns. I appreciate how you manage to be honest while at the same time so respectful and kind about any problems you might encounter. That kind of information is SO useful to me. Thank you!
Phew! I was concerned that I’d come across as a complainer, but I’m glad you think I struck the balance between honesty and respect 😅 Thanks so much for being here, and for your kind comment 💕💗💕
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers! 🎉 I really enjoy your podcasts, seeing your makes and hearing your thoughts on the patterns and yarns you choose. I hope your health improves and that you will be able to venture out as well as coorie down with your 🧶. Warmest wishes 🥰
Always so lovely catching up with you Ailie 🥰 So many beautiful and inspiring makes 😍 Your Braids of Grass is just stunning and really makes me want to cast one on ASAP! Congratulations on 5000+ subscribers--so well-deserved 🤗❤
Ahhhhhhh...your name popping up in my notifications always brightens my day! I'm currently semi trying hard but not really 🙈 to finish all my gift knits! Might be Christmas 2033 by the time I'm ready to gift them at this rate 😂 I keep getting distracted trying new things....painting with wool being the main takeraway'er from jobs needing done 🙈 huge congrats on 5000 followers what a fab achievement!
5000 thanks for a lovely podcast! I hope you’re feeling better as the holiday unfolds, but you never need to apologize for your podcast schedule - it’s always a treat to see you whenever you’re able to record.
Congrats on 5000 subscribers, Ailie! Sending you warm greetings from the south coast of Finland - you describing the weather is just like you'd be telling of ours ;D Happy knitting, take care, Solstice is not that far away!
Wow - the lighting of you in this episode is superb. The room is lit. You face is lit - slightly stronger on one side but without shadows. And the texture of your knitting is shown so clearly. Great job. And I enjoy your tales, too. Jonathan
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers. I am currently working on a pair of mittens for my sister. The pattern is Roses are Red , Violets are Blue Mittens by Pia Kammeborn. The pattern is very well written and I learned to make Latvian braids from the pattern. Thank you for your lovely podcasts, I really enjoy seeing all your beautiful knits! I hope you will be feeling better every day. Thanks again.
I like the colours you choose for your project. The grey sweater with colour work is very attractive. Congratulations on reaching the amazing number of 5000 subscribers. 🎊 🎉
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers. I enjoy your podcast so much and appreciate your honesty and openness. I looking forward to seeing your projects and hearing your assessment of them. Thank you so much for all that you do and sharing your knitting with your viewers.
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! I always look forward to your podcasts. They're so relaxing yet informative and you have the most beautiful speaking voice. I'm from County Antrim but haven't lived there for years and it's always a treat to hear somebody using all the wee words I'd hear if I were at home. I'm sorry to hear your health hasn't been good. Look after yourself and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas x
Aw, thanks Jan 💗 Yes! There are so many words that N.I. and Scotland have in common, it’s lovely. I remember hearing Emma of Woolly Mammoth Fibre Company say oxster once and I was delighted 😆 Glad to bring a piece of home to you 💕
What a lovely giveaway to celebrate your 5000 milestone. I'm really looking forward to finishing all my gift knitting and casting on something for myself again and getting back to a little spinning! That will be lovely.
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter thank you. I did get everything finished but then my health took a down turn and I've just spent a week waiting to feel up to doing the last 80 sts of a project. So I'm thinking about knitting a lot more than doing it!
Yay! 5,000 subscribers! Congratulations! As soon as my gift knitting has been completed I'm finally ready to finish the 8, or do, sweaters I have on the needles. Most of the 8 just need sleeves 🙄. I can't believe how large my wardrobe will become once these have been finished. I do have plans to knit 2 sweaters for my mom. One will be a Christmas gift and the other just because she asked for it.
Congratulations, Ailie, on your 5000 subscribers! After working the last few months on gift knitting, I am looking forward to working on a few sweaters for myself. I have got the Snowy Pines by Jessica McDonald, the Felix Pullover by Amy Christoffers and the Ayami Pullover by Isabel Kraemer in my queue. That should keep me busy through the cold winter months. I love the yarn and notions pouch you chose for the giveaway.
I'm so glad I can say I've been around since the beginning! 5000 subs is a great milestone! I'm super excited for the coorie in mal! I hope I finish my current sweater so I can start something new and shiny! I've got a new pattern book coming that I'm sure I can find something in! I love all your new jumpers! You look great in all of them! Have a happy and warm holiday!
🥰 I’m so glad you’ve stuck around and listened to my nonsense all this time! 😉😆 Oooh, looking forward to seeing what you decide to make for the Coorie In MAL ❤️
Hello from the Blue Mountains,Australia. Always lovely to see you Allie, really enjoy your calm and peaceful episodes.Congratulations on the 5,000 subscribers.
Congratulations, Ailie, on achieving 5000 subscribers. So love the beautiful natural colours you choose for your projects. Particularly liked the hat. Best wishes to you for the coming Christmas and New Year.
Hi Ailie. Lovely catching up with you. Sorry to hear your health has not been good. Hope you are ok. Huge congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. Very well deserved. I’m making the granny go round jumper. Your cardi version is lovely. Take care. Sarah x
Congratulations on the 5,000 subscribers and do wear your granny cardigan out of the house, it’s beautiful. I’ve been wearing my granny square cardigan and have gotten lots of compliments 😊
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! Your projects are lovely and I love the granny cardigan. I was knitting on a Christmas stocking for my grandson while watching. I hope you’re feeling better soon. 💜🧶
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter Yes I got both stockings done, mailed off and they received them well before Christmas. The snowman appliqué parts were quite fiddle but the results were worth it.
Hi Ailie thanks for a lovely evening watching this latest episode. I’m sitting by the fire thinking your Coorie In MAL will be perfect for the holidays and January. Lovely to see you reach 5000 subscribers 🎉
Congratulations on the 5000 subscribers. It's easy to see why so many of love your podcasts. All of your projects are so beautiful and you have such a calming presence. Thank you so much for taking the time to record and I hope you're feeling better soon. Best wishes, Lisa xx
Congatulations on 5000 subscribers! I enjoyed the sweater/jumper parade. It was inspiring. I favorited the Braids of Grass. I'm working on the Mossery Cardigan by Pamela Wynne. I saw the pattern in a yarn shop while I was on vacation and decided it would fit beautifully in my wardrobe. After a bit of a snafu with the sizing I've been making progress on the front of the cardigan. Have a happy holiday season!
Another wonderful episode Ailie! Many congratulations on reaching 5000 + subscribers. I was delighted to have some time to relax and watch this episode today with my knitting, it's always such a treat.
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. I love your jumper finishes and they would be ideal here just north of London where we have our heating set at 19°C and I feel the cold. Your hat and socks are lovely too. Sorry to hear you have not been well recently. Do take care and make the most of staying in with your knitting . 🇬🇧
Congratulations on this 5000 milestone! I remember your first video very well, because it was the first ever knitting podcast I saw I think! RUclips thought I would like it, and I do! I didn't even know it existed, I was just watching every possible knitting technique video. Love your podcast, always a joy to catch up with you. Love from The Netherlands! Marijke
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers! Your Bonnie Isle hat is fabulous. I really like the decrease pattern on the crown and the colourway is gorgeous.
Hi Ailie, wow congratulations on reaching over 5000 subscribers, that's amazing. I can see what you mean about the Cargill sweater. I would probably rip back the sleeves and make them fit me better. I'm also not a fan of the balloon type sleeves. I had them in the 1980's and don't need to go back through hat fashion again! I love the grey sweater with the cables at the top. Sorry missed the name. It really suits you. I hope you are feeling better soon, love. I'm having a bit of a flare up at the moment, but wrapped up warm with my jumper, cardigan and big fluffy blanket. Hoping to get away with a few more days before we have to put the heating on. Even with the government help its a bit of a struggle. But I've got my needles and hooks, some fluffy yarn so I'm all good. Take care xxJane
🥰 Thanks Jane, hope you’re on the mend now🤞💗 Sadly the Cargill is a raglan, so I’d need to pull out everything (including the body) to sort out the sleeves. If I pull that much out I may as well keep going and frog the entire thing…I reckon that’s what I’ll probably do, but maybe not for a wee while yet!
Not surprised your very professional podcast showing your lovely, classic knits has grown to 5000. It is ranked in my top ten! Currently working on my version of a Festive pullover - pattern by Skeindeer. Thankyou for all your inspiration.
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! I am happy to spend time with you again and I was working on a knitted Christmas tree by Sincerely Louise. It's going to be so cute. Take care of yourself and I will see you next time!
Happy 5000 subs! I added your colorwork hat and that lovely blue and grey sweater to my queue. I'm working on gift knits as well as slowly doing an oversized vest for me for spring. The Elsie vest is the pattern. Have a lovely season ❤️
Hi Ailie. Thank you for another wonderful podcast. I loved all your projects. I must get that beanie pattern! So beautiful! Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers… I know there are so many that look forward to seeing what you are up to each time! Enjoy the season and stay cozy!
Congratulations on 5000 episodes. I appreciate your honesty about the Cargill...it made me realise that I do prefer a more fitted sleeve, so now I know what to look for in the future. I'm in Canada 🇨🇦, and my Glaswegian husband caught the last 10 minutes of the episode, and you had him smiling at some of the familiar terminology 😊🥰
😆 Happy to bring a bit of the homeland to your hubby! So glad my comments were appreciated, I was a wee bit nervous that it would come across as criticism (which it definitely wasn’t) 💗
Congratulations on 5000! So happy to see you. I love how you make all your sweaters longer, I do the same. Have a Happy Holiday if we do not see you before Christmas. We are going to Scotland next June with my family for our “50th” Anniversary. I hope to purchase lots of yarn.
Thanks so much Cheryl ☺️💕 Ooh, I’m sure there will be plenty yarn to tempt you when you’re here! What a wonderful achievement - Golden Anniversaries are becoming rarer and rarer 🥂
I was so excited to see your podcast was available 😊 it was lovely to hear from you again…though I was sad to hear that you’ve been unwell 🤒 Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers Ailie- very well deserved xx
I have 5000 wips to tell you about! 😉 😜 Just kidding. Currently I'm working on a throw blanket for my big kid (22) in a waffle stitch pattern and an oversized cardigan for the little kid (12) with giant cables. For myself I'm doing a pullover vest from petiteknits. Of course there's a bunch of others in various stages but those are the highlights. Thanks for sharing your knitting with me! I am inspired by you!
Good to see you again. I'm knitting a couple of Ruby red sweaters for my daughter in law to celebrate her newly adopted daughter Ruby. Sadly they live at least 5000 miles away so I will have to send them with her dad. Hope they fit!!!
Congrats on 5000 subs Ailie! I’m not doing any real gift knitting this year, but I am working on a sheep for my daughter. She saw the pattern and asked if I could please make it which was really sweet. 😊 I love the MAL! That is a bitterly cold time in Canada too. I’m going to work on some thick cozy socks for my husband that he can wear to work for the MAL. 😊
I just found you! And so glad I did. I thought I would help take you over the 5k milestone, but it looks like you are way past that! CONGRATULATIONS! I’m from Central Oregon, USA. We visited Scotland 4 years ago and absolutely loved it! A gorgeous country and lovely people. 💕
Yay, thanks for joining us! I’m so glad you found your way here 💗 It’s fantastic to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Scotland. I’d love to get to Oregon one day, it looks beautiful!
I just came across this channel today, so I'm a first time guest on this lovely podcast and really enjoyed the content. This means that I definitely will join the group of subs who watch regularly and I am eager to participate in the MAL as well. Now this gives me an opportunity to go through the 5000 + stunning projects out there that are worth being selected for this particular round of joint creativity. Thanks for this wonderful video and snowy greetings from Germany.
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers!! I’ve watched your podcast from the beginning and it is always a pleasure to spend sometime watching and knitting with you 🎉😊.
I ran straight to Ravelry and downloaded the Bonnie Isle hat pattern! It is so lovely! Congratulations on your 5000 + subscribers, it is a well-deserved honor.
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. I’m sure like me they are always so pleased when an alert comes up you have posted a new podcast. I hope your health improves. Take care and thank you for your interesting podcasts. 😊
Ailie - it’s so good to see you again, I always look forward to your latest video. I have been watching since your first videos and just love you. So proud to see you reach 5000 fans. Wishing you a peaceful, healthful and happy holiday season.
🥰🥰🥰 Thanks Peggy! That’s so kind! I’m really glad that you’ve stuck with me 💗 I hope you had a lovely festive season and that 2023 has been kind to you this far 💕
Wonderful that you have reached 5000 subscribers, Ailie! I always look forward to your podcasts. My knitting plans for next year are going to include several Tees for me - I hope! Almost finished one this year, but stopped knitting on it when I started my gift knitting. I've been collecting patterns, though, so have several to choose from.
Thanks Sue! Knitted tees sound great - short sleeves so no getting stuck on sleeve island 😉 I hope you managed to finish off your gift knits and are focusing on your own projects again 💗
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers!🎉 thank you for sharing with us your fiber adventures. I really enjoy watching you. I am working on Benthe at the moment by Natacha Hornby but my plan for the holidays is actually to teach my eldest daughter knitting and that is the one thing I am so looking forward. We’ve started already, she’s making her first scarf and will be starting het first sweater soon. I am so proud.😊
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter I can only recommend the Benthe, it was a joy to knit with an interesting construction and it fits very well 👌 My daughter has started her first sweater. I was doubting my teaching skills but she is picking it up so quickly. Glad I can spare her all the hurdles I encountered by learning by myself. Very proud mom here 😅 two daughters to go… 🤣

🥰 Thanks so much Dawn! I hope you had a special Christmas too 💕💗💕
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers 👏 🙌 ❤️ I have enjoyed watching your knitting journal so much! Since I live in Israel Christmas knitting wasn't ever a thing I did, but this year I knitted a Christmas mouse and sent it to a dear friend of mine in the US just to feel like I'm part of the community this time of year. 🤣
😆😆😆 That’s hilarious! The fear of missing out is very real in the online knitting community 😉 I hope you enjoyed knitting that wee mouse 🐁🧣❤️
Wow, over 5000 subscribers. Amazing achievement, congratulations. I love to hear all about your crafting and the wonderful projects you’re working on. Thank you so much for your effort and time. I can’t wait to hear from you again.
☺️💕💗 Thanks so much for that!
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I just love my time watching your podcast. Its just like having a friend in my living room. Your knits are always an inspiration. Thank you for all your time you give us and I hope your health improves soon.❤️
🥰 Thanks Heather ❤️
Warmest congratulations on 5000 subscribers! Very well deserved. I love your calm demeanour and your knitting is beautiful. I do hope your health improves and you can get out over the holidays. Thank goodness for knitting - it is so nice to have when we aren’t feeling well enough to do anything else. Margaret in British Columbia. ❤
Thanks Margaret 🥰💗 Yes, knitting is such a lifeline when we’re too unwell to do anything else - and is also fabulous at all times really!
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! Love your Bonnie Isle hat. Was so nice to see your smiling face today. 🧶
Aaawwwww 🥰 Thank you! ❤️
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers! I love watching your podcast and seeing all your finished objects. You are an excellent knitter and a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with everyone. Have a Happy Holiday!
Thanks so much Crystal ☺️💗
Congratulations 🎊 🥳🙌🥂🍾 5000 subscribers! How wonderful!! Can’t believe you’ve been going over a year, doesn’t seem like 5 mins ago! Or is that my age? The yarn prize is lovely, not in my usual range of colours but very beautiful indeed. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks!?!!?? 😂
I’m making socks for my father-in-law for Yule.
Aaaw, it sounds like you have a convert there! So glad you’re able to care for him in that way - wool for the win 🧶❤️
It’s not just you 😊 I hope you got it finished and that your mum loved it…also hope that you’re hands are getting a break now! 💗
Congratulations on passing 5000. Busy finishing gift knits in order to prepare for advent knitting. You show such wonderful projects.🇨🇦
☺️ Thanks Anne 💕 I hope you were able to free your needles for advent knitting.
Hi Ailie, Lovely to see you and many congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I'm also on the Scottish coast but on the East and winter has definitely arrived here too. I love seeing all your beautiful knits. Take care x
Hey 👋 I hope you’re hunkering down with your knitting and avoiding the worst of the weather🤞🥶
PS I get overly excited when I ‘meet’ another Ailie, there aren’t many of us with this spelling!!
Thank you!
Phew! I was concerned that I’d come across as a complainer, but I’m glad you think I struck the balance between honesty and respect 😅
Thanks so much for being here, and for your kind comment 💕💗💕
Another great milestone to celebrate Ailie! Love your scrappy crochet cardy too, the colours are gorgeous. Take care and best wishes for the season 🙂
☺️ Thanks Julie 💕💗
Thanks Ailie. Your Braids of Grass jumper looks wonderful on you and the LKF femme top is a must.
☺️ Thank you!
☺️ Thanks Alice 💗
Always so lovely catching up with you Ailie 🥰 So many beautiful and inspiring makes 😍 Your Braids of Grass is just stunning and really makes me want to cast one on ASAP! Congratulations on 5000+ subscribers--so well-deserved 🤗❤
🥰🥰🥰 You’re so kind Nikki, thank you! 🥰😘❤️ I must admit, the finished garment makes struggling through those cables with unwielding unspun worth it 😉
Ahhhhhhh...your name popping up in my notifications always brightens my day!
😆 I hope you managed to get a few finished in time…or if not, that you’ve been thoroughly enjoying the knits that have captured your heart!
5000 thanks for a lovely podcast! I hope you’re feeling better as the holiday unfolds, but you never need to apologize for your podcast schedule - it’s always a treat to see you whenever you’re able to record.
🥰 Thanks Nancy, your kindness and understanding are much appreciated 💗
5000 people who have the pleasure of spending time with you!
Aw, thanks Sue 💕
Congrats on 5000 subscribers, Ailie! Sending you warm greetings from the south coast of Finland - you describing the weather is just like you'd be telling of ours ;D Happy knitting, take care, Solstice is not that far away!
☺️ Thank you! Yes, winter is pretty bleak here, but we’ve passed the solstice now…onwards towards the light 😃💕💗
Wow - the lighting of you in this episode is superb. The room is lit. You face is lit - slightly stronger on one side but without shadows. And the texture of your knitting is shown so clearly. Great job. And I enjoy your tales, too.
Jonathan
Phew! Thanks for saying that Jonathan, artificial lighting can be so difficult!
Thanks so much Linda 💗 I just looked up that pattern - it looks like a really fun knit!
I like the colours you choose for your project. The grey sweater with colour work is very attractive. Congratulations on reaching the amazing number of 5000 subscribers. 🎊 🎉
Thanks so much ☺️💕💗
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers. I enjoy your podcast so much and appreciate your honesty and openness. I looking forward to seeing your projects and hearing your assessment of them. Thank you so much for all that you do and sharing your knitting with your viewers.
☺️ Thanks Jessica, that’s really kind of you, I’m so glad you enjoy my ramblings 💕💗💕
I hope you managed to get through all your gift knitting and are now working on lovely things for yourself 💕
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter thank you. I did get everything finished but then my health took a down turn and I've just spent a week waiting to feel up to doing the last 80 sts of a project. So I'm thinking about knitting a lot more than doing it!
@@purltwotogether8218 oh dear 😕 Sending healing thoughts your way 💗
☺️ Thank you! Yikes, that’s a lot of sleeves!! Good luck🤞💕
Thanks so much ☺️❤️ Those all sound like very beautiful projects…I’d have a hard time choosing what to cast on first!
Congrats on 5000 subscribers. I have been knitting for one year and happily just found your channel today.
Aw, WELCOME!! I hope you enjoy being part of our wee clan 💗

Hi Ailie. Lovely catching up with you. Sorry to hear your health has not been good. Hope you are ok. Huge congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. Very well deserved. I’m
making the granny go round jumper. Your cardi version is lovely. Take care. Sarah x
Hi Sarah 😃👋 Ooh, the granny go round jumper is beautiful too. They’re such fun patterns! Thanks for the well wishes 💗
Congratulations on the 5,000 subscribers and do wear your granny cardigan out of the house, it’s beautiful. I’ve been wearing my granny square cardigan and have gotten lots of compliments 😊
Aw, thanks Olivia ☺️ That’s good to know, maybe I’ll be brave and see how it’s received 💗
Always lovely catching up with you! If only we all had 5000 hands to work on all the projects we have!
😆 That would definitely be good! Thank you 💗
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! Your projects are lovely and I love the granny cardigan. I was knitting on a Christmas stocking for my grandson while watching. I hope you’re feeling better soon. 💜🧶
Aw, thanks Donna ☺️ I hope you managed to get the Christmas stocking finished in time, I bet it was a fiddly project! 💗
🥰 Thanks Shona! I’m so glad you’re thinking of joining in. I can’t wait to see what you come up with ❤️
Congratulations on the 5000 subscribers. It's easy to see why so many of love your podcasts. All of your projects are so beautiful and you have such a calming presence. Thank you so much for taking the time to record and I hope you're feeling better soon. Best wishes, Lisa xx
Thanks so much Lisa, that’s such a kind thing to say ☺️🥰
Congatulations on 5000 subscribers! I enjoyed the sweater/jumper parade. It was inspiring. I favorited the Braids of Grass. I'm working on the Mossery Cardigan by Pamela Wynne. I saw the pattern in a yarn shop while I was on vacation and decided it would fit beautifully in my wardrobe. After a bit of a snafu with the sizing I've been making progress on the front of the cardigan. Have a happy holiday season!
Oh my, that’s a beautiful pattern 😍…I’d never heard of it before. I hope it’s continuing to bring you joy 💕
Another wonderful episode Ailie! Many congratulations on reaching 5000 + subscribers. I was delighted to have some time to relax and watch this episode today with my knitting, it's always such a treat.
Aw, that’s so nice to hear ☺️💕💗 Thanks Alexandra!
Wow! Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! That's awesome and exciting!! Hey from Hiddenite North Carolina!!💜💚🌻🌻
👋 Lovely to have you watching from North Carolina 💕💗💕
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. I love your jumper finishes and they would be ideal here just north of London where we have our heating set at 19°C and I feel the cold. Your hat and socks are lovely too. Sorry to hear you have not been well recently. Do take care and make the most of staying in with your knitting . 🇬🇧
Thanks Elaine ❤️ Yes, they’d be perfect. I find 19C too hot! It’s funny what you get used to based on where you live 😆
Marijke
Oh wow, I’m so happy that RUclips made that suggestion ☺️ And I’m honoured that you’ve stuck around 🥰 Thanks Marijke ❤️
Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers! Your Bonnie Isle hat is fabulous. I really like the decrease pattern on the crown and the colourway is gorgeous.
Thanks Margot ☺️ Yes, I adore the colourway…the designer really nailed it with this one!
Love all your knits ❤ 5000 subscribers is amazing. 😊
☺️ Thank you! 💕
🥰 Thanks Jane, hope you’re on the mend now🤞💗
Sadly the Cargill is a raglan, so I’d need to pull out everything (including the body) to sort out the sleeves. If I pull that much out I may as well keep going and frog the entire thing…I reckon that’s what I’ll probably do, but maybe not for a wee while yet!
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers. I remember your first pod cast.. you’ve come a long way and I enjoy our visits more than ever
Aawww 🥰 I’m so glad you’ve stuck with me, it’s appreciated ❤️
Not surprised your very professional podcast showing your lovely, classic knits has grown to 5000. It is ranked in my top ten! Currently working on my version of a Festive pullover - pattern by Skeindeer. Thankyou for all your inspiration.
Oh wow, that’s so kind, thank you! I hope you managed to finish your Festive Pullover in time for the season, it’s a beauty ❤️
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers! I am happy to spend time with you again and I was working on a knitted Christmas tree by Sincerely Louise. It's going to be so cute. Take care of yourself and I will see you next time!
Oh wow, that does sound cute…I hope you finished it in plenty time to enjoy over the festive season🤞💕
Happy 5000 subs! I added your colorwork hat and that lovely blue and grey sweater to my queue. I'm working on gift knits as well as slowly doing an oversized vest for me for spring. The Elsie vest is the pattern. Have a lovely season ❤️
Ooh, that’s pretty! I love the textured stitches 🤩 Thanks Chrissy 💗
Hi Ailie. Thank you for another wonderful podcast. I loved all your projects. I must get that beanie pattern! So beautiful! Congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers… I know there are so many that look forward to seeing what you are up to each time! Enjoy the season and stay cozy!
Aw, that’s so kind, thank you! 🥰💕💗
Congratulation! I love your sweaters!
☺️ Aw, thank you! 💕
I was so excited to see your podcast was available 😊 it was lovely to hear from you again…though I was sad to hear that you’ve been unwell 🤒
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers Ailie- very well deserved xx
🥰 Thanks Elizabeth 💕💗💕
I have 5000 wips to tell you about! 😉 😜 Just kidding. Currently I'm working on a throw blanket for my big kid (22) in a waffle stitch pattern and an oversized cardigan for the little kid (12) with giant cables. For myself I'm doing a pullover vest from petiteknits. Of course there's a bunch of others in various stages but those are the highlights. Thanks for sharing your knitting with me! I am inspired by you!
😆👌 I hope you’re enjoying working your way through them all! Thanks for leaving such a kind comment 💕
Good to see you again. I'm knitting a couple of Ruby red sweaters for my daughter in law to celebrate her newly adopted daughter Ruby. Sadly they live at least 5000 miles away so I will have to send them with her dad. Hope they fit!!!
Aw bless, I’m sure they will be very gladly received!
Congratulations 5000. I’m so glad to see you back, love your calm and interesting podcast. Always really interesting and informative. Thank you 😊
☺️ Thank you! 💕💗
Congrats on 5000 subs Ailie! I’m not doing any real gift knitting this year, but I am working on a sheep for my daughter. She saw the pattern and asked if I could please make it which was really sweet. 😊
I love the MAL! That is a bitterly cold time in Canada too. I’m going to work on some thick cozy socks for my husband that he can wear to work for the MAL. 😊
Ooh, thick cosy socks sound perfect 👍 And the sheep sounds utterly adorable 🥰❤️
Congratulations on 5000 subscribers. That is so exciting 😄. Thank you for the giveaway!
💗 Thank you!
Your Cargil sweater is gorgeous ❤ beautifully done. Congrats on reaching 5000 subscribers. Really enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much!
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter if you do get to Oregon, be sure to get in touch. 😁
Congratulations for reaching 5,000 subscribers! All the best to you, Ephemera Bluetit
☺️ Thanks!
I’m so glad that you found us - welcome to the clan! 💕💗💕 Looking forward to seeing what you decide to make from those 5000+ projects 😉
Hi, I really enjoyed the podcast. I loved the fibers 5000. You look so pretty in the knits. Merry Christmas.😊

Figure 5000. I'm a first time viewer. Enjoyed it very much!
Aw, so glad you liked it ☺️ I hope you’ll stick around 💗
I ran straight to Ravelry and downloaded the Bonnie Isle hat pattern! It is so lovely! Congratulations on your 5000 + subscribers, it is a well-deserved honor.
Yay, I’m glad you found it. I can see me going back to that pattern many, many times in the years ahead ⚓️
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. I’m sure like me they are always so pleased when an alert comes up you have posted a new podcast. I hope your health improves. Take care and thank you for your interesting podcasts. 😊
🥰 Thanks Vicki! I really appreciate your kind comment 💕💗💕
Congrats on the 5000!! I can't wait for it to snow, it definitely helps with the darkness 🌨️❄️
Thank you! It really does…it reflects the light and makes the short days more bearable ❄️💙
Oh wow, that looks like a really fun (& beautiful) knit!
I love that you’re passing your skills onto your daughter, knitting is such a gift 🥰❤️
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter I can only recommend the Benthe, it was a joy to knit with an interesting construction and it fits very well 👌
My daughter has started her first sweater. I was doubting my teaching skills but she is picking it up so quickly. Glad I can spare her all the hurdles I encountered by learning by myself. Very proud mom here 😅 two daughters to go… 🤣
