Three other boys also suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collapse. According to a relative of one of the injured boys, they were all friends.

Very sad. I used to swim at that pool when I was a kid back in 1991. Not surprised about them not inspecting this pool. We lived on off base housing and those brick houses were in bad shape when we lived there just recently.

They were out of the pool due to adult swim and horsing around near a loose wall. If they caused the wall to fall it could be they ran into it and it collapsed on them. Whatever happened our base facilities are old and moldy all over the world. We need to do better. RIP young man. 😢
