I love waking up to a Topher video. Especially one of a Bronco Raptor.
I have a 2022 and remember my first time hearing the engine, as I hit the highway taking it home lol. It still makes me smile, every time!
Sat in one of these on a showroom last week (along with a display model Lightning). They're nuts. Would be an absolute blast for weekending. Had a massive markup though 🤡
Blame GREED for the markups. The dealers and the eBay sellers looking for profit. Supply and demand!
It’s also a terrible time to buy with the inflation, interest rates, debts, and supply chain issues
I’ll buy with 10k markup even. But these are going for 50-75k adjustment…

Markup alone would stop me from buying one. Kind of counter-productive to markup popular vehicles that will sell like hot cakes ANYWAYS.... but Im no car salesman.
I’m a wrangler guy but these new Broncos, especially the color and design of this one I particularl is SHARP.

Except you get a wrangler with a 392 V8 with a manual.. Ford you get a problematic TT v6 with an auto.. Both are the same price. I own a 96 bronco, I rather own the new jeep

So it will be 100k when you can by a v8 wrangle with a manual for same price as this.
I don’t think they can even fit a V8 in the Bronco, I think it’s engine bay is too small. They should have put the 3.5L in this instead of the 3.0L. But I don’t think it’s even possible to shove a 5.2 liter in this rig. This is a great car but once again the V6 is it’s biggest flaw. The Wrangler 392 just doesn’t disappoint knowing it probably has the best engine that can be possibly put in a Wrangler.
@@zoomzoom3839 the 392 is really cool but the 6.4 doesn’t have good reliability rating. A 5.7 would’ve been a far better fit.
@@Freemasonshair All the Crysler Hemi V8s are extremely reliable. Even the supercharged Hellcat engine is ultra durable. Those ecoboosts will break well before the Hemis.

They don’t seem likely to make a Bronco Raptor R. A predator engine wouldn’t even fit in this unless they do major adjustments like they did the 392.

My Ford dealership that I’m a technician at doesn’t do mark ups on any vehicle. Even the Bentley continental we had. We had this raptor and priced perfectly. Sat in it. Super cool car

I wish that both Ford and GM would tune this 10spd transmission to start in 2nd during normal driving. Seeing 1st gear take RPMs up to 2500 and you're only churning 10mph isn't really necessary. This could start in 2nd, probably be easier on fuel and on the powertrain. If you need power, the transmission can kick down to 1st gear.
The Germans have been doing this for years -- I had an E39 540i with the 5 speed auto that started in 2nd during easy driving.

Somtimes I feel inefficient for driving hard and getting 27 mpg instead of 32+ in my hatch, then I remember mfs in their SUVs are getting teens mpg on the highway 💀💀💀

What would you pick for a fun daily driver 4 door version? The manual 4 cylinder, the V6, or the raptor? I was hoping you would compare it to the manual 4 cylinder bc I know you really enjoyed that one calling it an off-road Miata!
I'd personally go for the raptor purely for that crazy engine and the sound it makes.

Dang, my ram 1500 with the hemi gets 18-19 mpg. That mpg is rough lol.
You don't have 37inch tires on your truck though - so that 16mpg is actually pretty damn good. I think 18-19 on your truck is really good as well.
