Vikings Season 6 Episode 9 Ending Scene
Vikings 6x10 Promo Vikings Season 6 Episode 10 Ending Scene will be uploaded next week!
This is what the Golden Company should have been like in GOT
Next on Vikings: the entire army gets demolished by a dragon before the epic battle starts
This is why Vikings is better than GOT no less disappointments and has more sense.
truly said, the golden army should have been true to the book, and much more meaner than what they are in the last season....plus some elephants would be really helpful for a bit more bad ass demeanor
@@delitaxiangling7304 no budget forelephants
In the end…this army was about as effective as the Golden Company haha
Oleg clearly said this is only some of the army. He says to Ivar that you will see some of the army tonight.
That tells u these guys are no pushovers
And if the math i did was right its about 18,000 soliders
"A new power is rising! It's victory is at hand! This night the land will be stained by the blood of Norway! March to Kattegat! Leave non alive. To war! There will be no dawn for Scandinavia"
LoL . That's exactly what I thought
The age of the Rus lol
Christopher Lee in Count Dooku's voice: "I've been looking forward to this."
There will be no dawn for the Northmen
but there will
In a way it is interesting to see that while the Viking armies are war bands, and the Anglo-Saxon/Frank armies were not that well organised, this looks like a professional, disciplined army.
these professional armies were massacred by the mongols
@@sajibsjb yeah 400 years later lol
@@sajibsjb Mongolweaboo
@@makky6239 mongol juggernaut
@@sajibsjb The Mongols are actually like a hybrid. They initially appear like just a huge raiding horde, but in reality there is a great deal of organisation and hierarchy. I'm not sure any other army could keep their cavalry in formation during a battle like the Mongols did.
For Biorn Ironside lovers this parade was the most scariest scene in whole series.... For me too 😌
3:05 Ivar wait what face
Prince Igor lookin like this is my army 😌
Kievan Rus attacking the Vikings in Norway? This is interesting. Dominant Christianity and great churches before the baptism of Rus are just as strange. And of course, clothes for the court of the Kiev prince looking like the Moscow court of Ivan the Terrible. And soldiers looking like Mongols are like dressing knights Frederick Barbarossa in Prussian helmets with spikes or German helmets from World War II
Ivar will betray oleg and help his brothers due to the fact that oleg threatens not only his religion but his people
True
Yes but in 6B and no, he won't join Bjorn or Ubbe..
Jep. True
Ivar doesn't care about his people. Maybe his religion, but not his people.
Looks like an 8x9 formation with 150 men per company. So about 10,800 men. But this was only part of his army for the parade.
Imagine if the army of france and rollo, Saxons, Viking’s teamed up to take down the Rus? sheesh.
I remember I worked this out the first time I watched this scene and came up with around 10,000 myself!
Its more like 9x9, i figured about 12,000 men plus the horses, still to be a fraction of the army that means its close to 100,000 troops they could muster up if needed. Impressing for been back then
Oleg is the Night King of Vikings ..lol
So I guess, he will be killed by Torvi and Bjorn's daughter.
@Proud Indian Bran*
Vikings season 6 Beautiful 😂but GOT season 8😞😞
they both have terrible writing tho
He is better because he doesn’t die in his first battle with the protagonists.
MARCH TO HELM'S DEEP. LEAVE NONE ALIVE!!!!!!!
To warrrrrrr
The Rus... Are... Coming...
Everyone was Rus until they Hear Throat Singing from a Distance 😂
More like China.
Imagine if the American army was this disciplined back in the revolutionary war they would’ve beat the British.
Fun fact: This is how we got ready to go on stage when I was in chorus class last year.
THE BRITISH ARE COMING!
They need rollo asap !!!! Theres no way they win the first or second encounter that's on some Roman battalion stuff right there and keep in mind the Russ had better technology than most
Carlo Canti hahaha
Carlo Canti he is, just old. I’m sure Bjorn or Harald can work out a deal to borrow troops or something. Or Bjorn can go to Alfred and have his army + the danish army Ubbe left in England to help fight against the Rus
@@CallsignAllfather ubbe was in iceland during all this so...
I wonder if they hired a bunch of Russian/Ukrainian army personal for this. They march and have formations similar to what I've seen during their V-day parades.
It was at this point... That Ivar realized... He done f***** up....
Someone on Vikings was paying attention to HBO's Rome.
I see the Rus winning and taking over Scandinavia, but I also see Alfred and Rollo joining toghter with the remaining Norse to drive them out. Also couple that with civil strife which Oleg brother is sure to cause which could cause a good portion of olegs troops to leave. This would leave Scandinavia primary Christian which is historical accurate and fulfill the seers prophecy about going into the darkness.
get some glasses you clearly didnt see well
That would have been a better ending to this season.
It would be epic if each platoon shouts "hooraa"
Even united Bjorn and Harald stand little chance when this much might has been assembled against them, not to mention Ivar will be commanding them.
Rolo will help,
@@bicnarok
No he won't
@@puertoricanprince7690 yes rollo is coming to help he's slated for the second half of the season 6B Bjorn will lose everything gunnhild, the trading post everything and the only person he will have is rollo, and ubbe who can convince althelstiens son to join forces to take the russ down
QuEsT X. BoXiNg By Athelstan son do you mean Alfred? Or the Athelstan/othere we saw in episode 9?
King harald and bjorn will find a way to defeat the rus army. I agree bjorn will lose kattegat which will force him to sail to the Mediterranean again or elsewhere
Damn, Ivar looks like Grima Wormtongue in the show of the Two Towers, Lord of the Rings, when he realizes during his new master's speech this large army is about to smash down his own people against who he turned.
Ok, if last season is any indication, Ivar loves his culture and religion.
Who can help? Rollo? Alfred? The 3000 Danes who got to England thanks to Ubbe? You will see, in any case, Ragnar's sons will fight together again ..
guys... this scene was so unforgetable for me and my friend.. It was winter and we were watching this episode when we were tripping on mushrooms.. And this scene was so long that we absolutely lost our shit.. We were dying of laughter when watching these guys march for ages :´´´DD We were like WHATAFUCK IS GOIN ON :D :D
Those aren't even that many soldiers tbh. Those are regiments of 9x9 soldiers, and there are 9x9 of them. Which makes a total of just over 6000. Considering the rus had about 5 million inhabitants, that's pretty weak. Well, Oleg doesn't have control over all of rus' territory, but he should be able to muster more.
So, who can resist such an army? Well, basically a single roman legion.
Also, in the second battle of the Kattegat Civil War, Kattegat mustered about 2500 combined troops, Ivars host was not significantly smaller (plus 1000 men frankish reinforcements). Which is already 5000, and that was only a small part of norway.
Considering that norway had a population about 80.000 at that time... Well, if Harald, his vassals and Bjorn raise every able-bodied man and woman they can get, they could pump up their numbers to maybe 10.000, maybe 15.000. The vikings should have the numerical advantage, since it's their home territory. And of course, they should have the logistical advantage, because Oleg has to feed his army through supply lines that run through the entire baltic sea.
Hmm, but the Rus' advantage lies in their ability to fight in formation.
So far, all Vikings just do a barbarian charge at the enemy.
If history is correct, the Roman legions won against barbarian forces by using the power of formation based combat.
Y. R. . The Vikings won't stand a chance against the rus Vikings did you not see how Erik the red looked spooked when he was talking to bjorn and King harald about them
@@SuperChuckkie How is Erik supposed to know anything about the strength of the rus military?
Are you sure about 5 millions?
Oleg said that this is "some of his army" in the scene when Ivar presented Hvitserk to him and Katya...not the whole army lol...watch the episode again and then come here to comment...
9x9 units, each unit about 9x10 men.
So that's showing about 6.500 men at 3:14
And this was "part of the army" that Ivar saw.
Imagine if oleg could see the size of the Russian armies yet to come. By comparison this is little more than a scouting party.
more than a million 🙄
К 1945 общая численность Красной армии достигла 11,5 миллионов
*Tbh this army looks as big as the great heathen army from 4x18. Just a reminder that this wont be the end as its not 1066*
It's bigger, looks like they are over 7000 of them, judging by the size and number of columns. That's almost twice the size of the great heathen army
@@ACruelPicture 5184 (9x8x9x8)
This is only some of the army as Prince Oleg said
@@tantemarianne7190 i counted 11 700 7x9 rows of 9x10x2 soldiers lumped together. Still though there wasnt any number on the heathen army size? They could just as well have been around 5-8 thousand.
But as other point out, this was only part of the army
@@DrKlinkist The rows are 9 wide though, thats easy to count. 9 People in one square and 9 squares in whole. The columns are a bit tricky, but when you count shadows/helmets/feet its obvious that its 8 ppl in a square and 8 squares in total. I would say it's even less than 5184, because i also counted the second square in the mid column as a whole 72 men, which its not. But as we are told, that's only part of the army.
Edit: Im also wondering where the factor 2 in your calculation comes from
3:10 it was at this moment he knew
Kid on the left side of Oleg looks like small Putin.
3:13 this remind me of game of thrones S7 ending when the Night King destroys the wall let's hope we get a great battle in Ep 10
Oleg is badass
The rus are Coming
3:04 "ivor!" ??
Really enjoyed Vikings show, but as a descendent myself of the Rus Vikings just want to point out very obvious inaccuracy, in this timeline they were still Pagans themselves they only converted to Christianity much much later!
Mongols : wtf did you say ??

How many army men did he have I counted 9 down 9 across so about 6.561
Was weird how in Russia it was mid-winter but in Scandinavia at the same time they were going for leisurely swims in lakes.
@Slavic Melodies when is it warm enough to swim in Russia?
@@ASMRyouVEGANyetLate spring, summer, early autumn. In the south near the Black Sea, even longer

This is not history. Season 6 is a complete lie
Tho season 1-2 were realistic and amazing
Magnificent, aren't they?
the red banner, the sickle and the hammer are not enough !!!
Ivar couldn’t just push Oleg over the roof?
But in history Alfred who will sweep Vikings. Do you think alfred will war against oleg too?
I would have preferred the writers stick with a loose historical structure as they had been doing rather than turn to this fantasy of a "Russian" invasion of Scandinavia.
They prefer their political agenda over sticking to history.
Rise and fall of Vikings
Can anyone tell me the name of the ost playing at the end, when Oleg's army is on full display?
this with ussr music would be perfect
Ivar looks very scare
wouldn't you? Those Slavic-finnic-half-norse-half-asian-turk....earrhhhh whatever RUSSIANS army look terrifyingly savage.

@@thewarking08 Yep...Odin suck though.
I don't think he realized how United the Rus were. He knew they were powerful but didn't imagine seeing such a large army. I think he is a bit jealous of the power.
I think ivar will divert the rus army and direct it at wessex after the 1st battle, he still love the pagan gods
Geez ! Putin was even around back then !
Russians had epic parades even then
its hard to look at rus army wearing chineese armor
its not look so big...
This is how Putin se hes army today but they will end like it did in this show
...Were the Kievan Rus Christian at this point in time? O.o
No.
I would rather side with Germanic people and their heritage even if it means losing
Russian troops looks like Mordor armies...
Why did they make the Kievians look like this, fantasy lol.
Rus not Kievans. Native Kievans are Turks
The end of the pagan gods!
eh the Romans armies were bigger do it better and they were even older
Putin 2022
почему мелкий так на путина похож ? специально подбирали ?
And why their hamlet look like muslim
Slavs were heavily influenced by Turks and Asians
I hope the rus army will not win.
This is a fairy tale invented by the creators of the series. Kievan Rus was not Russia of Ivan the Terrible or great Russia of Putin. There was no Rus' invasion of Norway. Rather, the princes ruling in Novgorod and Kiev (descendants of the Vikings) brought warriors from Scandinavia when they fought with each other for the throne of the Grand Duke,
I'm not impressed by this army...less then 8000 men I guess. Around (or just nine?) ten men per row with nine rows overall (90 men overall per "unit"). Then again nine rows with eight units per column: so 72 units à 90 men...even less then 7000 (less then 6000 if it is only nine men per row). A Roman legion had between 4000 to 6000 men plus auxiliary troops.
"By the end of Augustus' reign, the imperial army numbered some 250,000 men, equally split between 25 legions and 250 units of auxiliaries. The numbers grew to a peak of about 450,000 by 211, in 33 legions and about 400 auxiliary units. By then, auxiliaries outnumbered legionaries substantially."
And since he wanted to impress, he has most likely put most of his army at display.
This is only some of the army as Oleg said when Ivar was introducing Hvitserk to Oleg
bluerisk it’s crazy I was so impressed with how the army was so well trained and disciplined. I think The rus are just leagues above vikings
@@lewisburrow3946 Formations and strategy are more powerful than utter brute strength.
Lewis Burrow Of course they are, Vikings in all reality aren’t good when it comes themselves getting invaded which is why they did the invading themselves due to their superior long boats. Other than that they don’t have much going for them, the Rus should mop the floors with them
@Carlo Canti Larger area - do you know how big Russia/Ukraine vs. Italy, the actual origin of the Roman Empire before they became the Empire they were. And Egypt was the major source of wheat.
The Ukraine has far more fertile areas then Egypt.
Quote, when looking for the bread basket of Europe:
"The Answer: The rich dark soil and the vast fields of wheat and other food products have earned Ukraine the nickname "bread basket of Europe." According to the CIA World Factbook, Ukraine produced 25% of all agricultural output in the former Soviet Union."
He shouldn't actually be a Christian
Lol who can withstand such an army? *cough coughs* Mongols.
@Slavic Melodies haha 😄
