@@omar_elattar.6500 You're right. Actually they are not far off. Igor of the show is supposed to be the same Igor of history, the husband of Saint Olga. Igor's father was Rurik, a son of a Swedish King who was sent to govern the Slavs and start his own dynasty. Oleg is Igor's uncle who was the brother of Rurik's wife, Elfana. Rurik made Oleg King Regent until Igor grew up. The show's depiction of the early Kievan Rus is pretty accurate. The fiction part, the part about a mass scale Rus invasion of Scandanavia (not that there weren't Rus warriors active in Scandanavia from time to time) is actually believable. The Kievan Rus royal family at this point is only like 2 generations away from being part of the Swedish royal family. Them feeling entitled to an Overlordship of all Scandnavia isn't that far fetched as long as it’s fiction.
