I went to my first Catholic Church last Sunday on Easter. I felt very comfortable and at ease. It was very refreshing to not be bombarded by people introducing themselves to me and asking all kinds of questions. I felt at home there! I loved it so much that I’m looking into RCIA to learn more!
Prayers and thoughts going your way. God Bless!!!!
I love your Catholic videos. Part of why I went to RCIA last year!
Awesome! Welcome to the family.
Welcome home!! I JUST looked at my channel today and realized my last 5 videos have ALL been about bipolar! I have LOTS more Catholic videos planned. Saturday is my new upload day, I will upload weekly for 2023!
I was worried you were changing your channel. I am so thankful you made a Catholic video!
@@LizziesAnswers Oh Lizzie that’s wonderful! I so look forward to the Catholic videos.
Could you do one on how to get started on studying like you did? I have a vague idea about the Church Fathers, study what they wrote I guess. Church History, but how, who, start where?
@@KP-rh5qz Thank you. It’s wonderful. So much to offer than my previous Protestant church.
Please change the battery in a smoke detectors!! That is the beeping you keep hearing! You might be used to it. Stay safe Lizzie, we love you.

I didn't know she was black
It's good to see you bright and cheery.
yessss I MISS your catholic videos
Amen!
I admire the zeal shown by converts to catholicism
Good to see and hear you again!
Thank you Lizzie. God bless you.
i'm going to my first mass tomorrow, thank you for this.
I love the advice of moving forward if not kneeling. It is so annoying when someone doesn't move forward so I have to move back.
Thank you! I'm going to my second mass tomorrow morning. This has been very helpful!
Glória a Deus por vc e sua família, Lizzie. Que o Espírito Santo te ilumine sempre em sua caminhada na Santa Fé Apostólica.
Such a great idea to do a video like this! Thanks!
Great summary!
I'm new to going to mass! Would you do a video on what to wear? Thank you for content!
I totally am not a beginner but I love your videos so here I am lol still always learn something new 🥰
I'm going to Mass as a Protestant on Christmas day at one of the large 15th century cathedrals where I live. I have already "ducked" in and hung out in the back on some of the other Spainish language Masses here, but this one is the only English Mass. Thanks for the video!
Lizzie!!! I’ve been trying to get back in touch with you for years! I understand that you have been so busy and I wish you all the best! I would love to tell you about my journey and how much you have inspired me whenever you have time! ❤❤❤
Attending RCIA in a few weeks and I'm super excited❤
I'm considering converting to Catholicism. I really appreciate this video
I'm going to mass for the first time on Sunday and was super nervous. 3 minutes into your video and I already feel much more calm. Thank you so much!
Same here I’m going to mass tomorrow
@@Simply_American how did it go? im going to my first mass in an hour and a half on my own and im really nervous :( but its so important to me so i have to go
@@robdee81 it was interesting. I admit most of my interest in Catholicism is academic in nature but if you’re looking to grow closer to God it may help you and I pray it does! Though some advice, ask one of the local parishioners to help you. The ones at the church I went to were friendly and helped me out. And when communion starts make sure if you go up to have your arms crossed. I hope this helps let me know how it goes
@@Simply_American Thanks i just got back and i really loved it , the Priest was a really nice man who had once been an Anglican priest (i come from an Anglican background) and the people were very friendly but they didnt all rush me and overwhelm me as i have experienced in some evangelical churches and yes i knew about crossing my arms for a blessing thankyou , i made sure i did my homework before going. I was given a missalette so i could join in with the prayers ect and I also found out that they accept my baptism i got as a baby in the Church of England which was nice to know. Im going to attend a few more saturday mass and then try a sunday mass. Thankyou and God bless.
Praise the Lord 🙏
Have you ever seen the short series done by Fr. Casey, breaking in the habit?
It’s titled understanding the mass. It is so good.
I loved this video.
I love also your others videos but even more about the catholic church
Me too Fatima, my friend.
I started attending Mass before even considering becoming Catholic and I’m a convert.
You are strong. It is not easy converting to catholicism given the rampant negative publicity against the Catholic church
@@josephssewagudde8156 well, the church I left didn’t really have the moral high ground (there are currently chomos who were in leadership before being arrested).
Hi, I am new to your channel. I am a former Catholic, now I would consider myself a spiritual agnostic. I have been following along with some of your videos, and it is interesting to listen to people that have found their path and direction in life. I am glad that you have this passion, that you are sharing. Keep up the great work, I love hearing new perspectives. Thank you for sharing.
@Robert Bartosik. I pray that one day you can consider returning back to the Catholic Church. God bless from a Catholic convert !
Dicas excelentes.
Thank you so much for this! I’m going on a mission trip in June with Catholic’s and I’m Christian, very much worried about the church part!! Never felt like I fit in to Christian church so I’m open to learning, listening, and seeing! On top of that, a lot of anxiety in general.
By the way, thank you for being so happy and kind! There are a couple of snobby catholic influencers on RUclips that turn a lot of people away (the religious hippie and a catholic wife) but you make it fun to learn about Catholicism and your not judgy. I appreciate that.
No need to shame others, if they weren't for you, they weren't for you :)
Those two aren’t snobby.
Good you should do step by step videos on beginners spiritual growth step by step
Finally!
*Yep participation is not a mandatory thing. As long as you sit, kneel and stand with confidence and relax that's basically all you need to look like a natural until you can participate. Nobody will know or care. We're there for God.*
What is the difference between the word "eucharist" and the word "communion"?
Great video! Can you please do a guide to confession video?
YES! Here’s my video on that: ruclips.net/video/FAtPq21s-h8/видео.html
Im going to mass soon for the first time and im absolutely terrified
Big help
Since I have a hard time walking I use a walker it's hard for me to walk up and receive the Eucharist. So the priest brings Eucharist to my seat.
I'm getting a new tapestry for my living room area. Deciding on the Christian verse hanging or a beach theme. I do have a rosary I got from my close guy friend from a long time ago. I would take it with me if I had to suddenly leave. It's blue and so pretty. Mardi Gras is coming up right? Glad you are making videos again. I left Twitter. i don't see the point in Twitter. That's actually good, the classes. I would probably have to go to the Ohio State campus church for RCIA, but I can't go out after dark, I also do not drive. I joined the Momon church too quickly, big regret. I suppose I could go to the Catholic church down the street and say I need a ride. I'm still Protestant. But thank you for teaching me about Catholicism. My grandparents got their last rites and are buried in the Catholic cemetery. We still don't know what to do with my brother, he was an Atheist we think.
@Michelle Sunshinestar. I pray that one day you can attend RCIA and cross the Tiber ! God bless!
Pray for your brother too
I love seeing people at Mass that are obviously not Catholic (yet). Prayers for all of them
Yea I should've watched this first. I just left my first mass and it was intense. Made a lot of mistakes and I feel super bad for it
Don't worry about it! I am about to go to my first as well. Have you had any experiences since?
I didn't know it was changed to OCIA. What does it stand for?
Can you do a video explaining how you would motivate yourself to read the Bible?
well done, from a catholic in Scotland, we are the minority and to some extent persecuted.
Not me biting my nail straight off my finger from nervousness.
I've been to a Spanish mass!! When I was in Mexico. I still can't become Catholic though. Still reading the Bible. I'm in Ruth.
I saw one video before where a Baptist Pastor had a problem interpreting a particular verse in the Bible. He consulted another Pastor ,but they disagreed with each other.so,they decided to consult a senior Baptist Pastor .They disagreed with each other.so,first Baptist Pastor dig deeper into Christian history by studying .to make long story short,he converted to Catholicism.Remember, the Bible came from the Catholic church.
im going to my first mass in an hour and a half , im terriefied as im going on my own , i dont know anyone there and im a middle aged un married man with apergers (a type of autism) so im really nervous and never meet new people but this is so important to me as i came to faith 2 years ago after 20 years of being atheist and after 2 years of reading and studying the early Church i see that the fullnes of the faith is Catholic church and i felt God telling me that i cant be a Christian on my own never meeting other Christians, Christianity is a family, and im just worried everyones going to be like "whos this suspicious looking slightly odd man" lol i know im overthinking it......i hope im over thinking it xD
How did it go man
How was your experience at your first mass?
I would recommend anyone attending Mass for the first time to seek out Scott Hahn’s talk (or book) on the Mass as it relates to the book of Revelations in the New Testament. The Mass is Heaven on Earth.
Can you do a vlog of any catholic church dear
Do you mean going into a catholic church and filming it explaining the meanings of the art?
@@LizziesAnswers Yes😍😍😍, and also filming the liturgy and the sermon for a mass and the for a whole steps.. this would be amazing
I am afraid to go to mass alone.
What does OCIA mean?
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
@@jonathansoko1085 oh! I hadn’t heard that. I joined last year.
@Dillon Leaf in our RCIA they gave us a cool Bible. NAB Revised. “St. Joseph Edition “. Catholic Book Publishing Corp. it’s very big, informative and definitely Catholic.
@@cyana5867 no worries, it's fairly new of an acronym I didn't know it till recently.
No princípio era o Verbo, e o Verbo estava com Deus, e o Verbo era Deus.
The beginner’s guide to mass should only include “run away from the Catholic Church”. The Catholic Church is not even close to the true church that Christ founded. The “first church” is the church that is recorded in the New Testament, especially in the Book of Acts and the Epistles of Paul. The New Testament church is the “original church” and the “one true church.” We can know this because it is described, in great detail, in Scripture. The church, as recorded in the New Testament, is God’s pattern and foundation for His church. On this basis, let’s examine the Roman Catholic claim that it is the “first church.” Nowhere in the New Testament will you find the “one true church” doing any of the following: praying to Mary, praying to the saints, venerating Mary, submitting to a pope, having a select priesthood, baptizing an infant, observing the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper as sacraments, or passing on apostolic authority to successors of the apostles. All of these are core elements of the Roman Catholic faith. If most of the core elements of the Roman Catholic Church were not practiced by the New Testament Church (the first church and one true church), how then can the Roman Catholic Church be the first church? A study of the New Testament will clearly reveal that the Roman Catholic Church is not the same church as the church that is described in the New Testament.
The New Testament records the history of the church from approximately A.D. 30 to approximately A.D. 90. In the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th centuries, history records several Roman Catholic doctrines and practices among early Christians. Is it not logical that the earliest Christians would be more likely to understand what the Apostles truly meant? Yes, it is logical, but there is one problem. Christians in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th centuries were not the earliest Christians. Again, the New Testament records the doctrine and practice of the earliest Christians…and, the New Testament does not teach Roman Catholicism. What is the explanation for why the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th century church began to exhibit signs of Roman Catholicism?
The answer is simple - the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th century (and following) church did not have the complete New Testament. Churches had portions of the New Testament, but the New Testament (and the full Bible) were not commonly available until after the invention of the printing press in A.D. 1440. The early church did its best in passing on the teachings of the apostles through oral tradition, and through extremely limited availability to the Word in written form. At the same time, it is easy to see how false doctrine could creep into a church that only had access to the Book of Galatians, for example. It is very interesting to note that the Protestant Reformation followed very closely after the invention of the printing press and the translation of the Bible into the common languages of the people. Once people began to study the Bible for themselves, it became very clear how far the Roman Catholic Church had departed from the church that is described in the New Testament.
Scripture never mentions using "which church came first" as the basis for determining which is the "true" church. What it does teach is that one is to use Scripture as the determining factor as to which church is preaching the truth and thus is true to the first church. It is especially important to compare Scripture with a church’s teaching on such core issues as the full deity and humanity of Christ, the atonement for sin through His blood on Calvary, salvation from sin by grace through faith, and the infallibility of the Scriptures. The “first church” and “one true church” is recorded in the New Testament. That is the church that all churches are to follow, emulate, and model themselves after.
No one is judging you - because no one is watching you or more importantly NO ONE Cares
Jesus Christ NEVER instituted a one man papacy.
Proof is found in Matthew 18:18-20 and Acts 15.
Jesus Christ COMMANDED apostles that if 2 of them agreed TOGETHER concerning ANY MATTER, whatever they (other people) may ask (Acts 15:1-2)
In Acts 15 we find James + Peter agreeing together to establish law regarding Jews demanding gentile Christians to be circumcised and follow the law of Moses.
Not Peter alone, because Peter alone is disobedience to Christ's direct command to apostles.
Jesus Christ only instituted 2 or more, not 1 above everyone else.
So Roman catholicism is lie from Satan, and is doomed to hell for this man made heresy.
