  • She was Protestant until she researched that Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church. The Bible that she knew and loved growing up was compiled and canonized by the Catholic Church. She truly found the pearl of great price, Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. All hearts were made by God for Catholicism.

Seriously there's so much beauty and richness in The Catholic Faith! I was always hopping from church to church in my Protestant years. Now I'm happily settled in The Holy Catholic Church and wouldn't even dream of going elsewhere. I can't even tell you how much I Love The Holy Rosary! It has transformed my life completely in just 2 years of Praying it. It's my favorite Catholic devotion and I would be lost without it. Thanks to Gabi's channel I learned the importance of praying all 4 Rosaries daily and it has been a total game changer for me and made me stronger, more confident and stable in my Faith and in my mental health. I've struggled with anxiety and depression all my life and The Rosary has given me the first true confidence that I can surmount those ugly attacks daily.

      CATECHISM of the CATHOLIC CHURCH
PART TWO: THE CELEBRATION OF THE CHRISTIAN MYSTERY
SECTION TWO THE SEVEN SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH
CHAPTER ONE THE SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
Article 3 THE SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST
      V. The Sacramental Sacrifice Thanksgiving, Memorial, Presence

1368 The Eucharist is also the sacrifice of the Church. the Church which is the Body of Christ participates in the offering of her Head. With him, she herself is offered whole and entire. She unites herself to his intercession with the Father for all men.

ON THE SACRIFICE OF THE MASS.
CANON III.-- If any one saith, that the sacrifice of the mass is only a sacrifice of praise and of thanksgiving; or, that it is a bare commemoration of the sacrifice consummated on the cross, but not a propitiatory sacrifice; or, that it profits him only who receives; and that it ought not be offered for the living and the dead for sins, pains, satisfactions, and other necessities; let him be anathema.

The RCC says, that IF YOU SAY, that what they are doing is *not* an offering [in the present] for sins, then they pronounce a curse (anathema) upon you. Let me repeat, If you disagree with what they say, they have cursed you.
What they are consciously or unconsciously saying (by continuing to offer sacrifices) during their Mass, is that they do not believe the 'good news' that an offering was made; an offering that has already satisfied God. They are rejecting Christ, while continuing to traffic in his name and reputation.

The Eucharist is what drew me into more of the Catholic Church. I had an atheist friend that would visit me in the Catholic chapel on base while I was the Catholic Assistant. I would often describe the Mass to him, but I kept telling him that what I describe and actually being there are two different things. So, one day he finally came to Mass, and I was helping the priest out as usual, at the offering of the sign of peace, I looked at him and he was in tears. Going up to him I asked what was wrong and that's when he pointed up at the Eucharist shaking and saying, "There's something there." I smiled and said, "Yes, I know. That's why I'm Catholic." Sadly, he died a few months later.

If the main focus is God, the main focus ought to be centered around how people become saved. The answer is found in Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
It was through Christ's finished work on the Cross. The free gift of Grace comes when one puts their full trust in him and understanding that one cannot earn salvation by any means of works.
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
      John 3:3
Turn to Christ and ask for his mercy. The wages of sin lead to death and hell. Salvation is found only through Christ and in this life.
Pray to God to save you. 😀

Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church?
The quotes provided below are historical facts in reference to our early church which existed prior to Romes adoption of Christianity in 313 A.D.
      Church:
      * "Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrneans 8 (c. A.D. 110)]
      Bishop, Priest & Deacon:
      * “Since, then, I have had the privilege of seeing you, through Damas your most worthy bishop, and through your worthy presbyters Bassus and Apollonius, and through my fellow-servant the deacon Sotio, whose friendship may I ever enjoy, because he is subject to the bishop as to the grace of God, and to the presbytery as to the law of Jesus Christ [St. Ignatius of Antioch- Letter to the Magnesians 2 (c. A.D. 110)].
      Eucharist:
      * “Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ, which have come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God... They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, Ash that suffered for our sins and that the Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrnaeans 6-7 (c. A.D. 110)].
      Scripture:
      * “[W]hoever perverts the sayings of the Lord for his own desires, and says that there is neither resurrection nor judgment, is the firstborn of Satan. Let us leave the foolishness and the false teaching of the crowd and turn back to the word that was delivered to us in the beginning.” [St. Polycrap of Smyrna - Letter to the Philippians 7 (c. A.D. 135)].
      Sunday:
      * “But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead.” [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 67 (c. A.D. 151)].
      Actions/Works:
      * “We have learned from the prophets, and we believe it is true, that punishments, and chastisements, and good rewards, are rendered according to the merit of each man's actions. If it is not so, then all things happen by fate, and nothing is in our own power. If it is fated that this man be good, and this other evil, the former is not meritorious nor the latter blameworthy [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 43 (c. A.D. 151)].
      Apostolic Succession:
      * “It is within the power of all, in every church, who may wish to see the truth, to contemplate clearly the Tradition of the apostles manifested throughout the whole world; and we are in a position to reckon up those who were instituted bishops in the churches by the apostles, and [to demonstrate] the succession of these men to our own times; those who neither taught nor knew anything these [heretics] rave about.” [St. Irenaeus of Lyons - Against Heresies 3:3:1 (c. A.D. 189)]
      Baptism:
      * “The children shall be baptized first. All the children who can answer for themselves, let them answer. If there are any children who cannot answer for themselves, let their parents answer for them, or someone else from their family.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confession:
      * “After this, one of the bishops present, at the request of all, laying his hand on him who is ordained bishop, shall pray this way: O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. pour forth the power that is from you, of "the princely Spirit' that you delivered to your beloved Child, Jesus Christ, and that he bestowed on your holy apostles, who established the Church that hallows you everywhere, for the endless glory and praise of your name. Father, "who knows the hearts [of all]” grant this servant, who you have chosen for the episcopate, to feed your holy flock and serve as your high priest blamelessly night and day, and unceasingly turn away wrath from your face and offer to you the gifts of the holy Church. And that by the high priestly Spirit he may have authority "to forgive sins" according to your command.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 2-3 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confirmation:
      * “The bishop will then lay his hand upon them, invoking, "Lord God, you who have made these worthy of the removal of sins through the bath of regeneration, make them worthy to be filled with your Holy Spirit, grant to them your grace, that they might serve you according to your will, for to you is the glory, Father and Son with the Holy Spirit, in the holy Church, now and throughout the ages of the ages. Amen." After this he pours the oil into his hand, and laying his hand on each of their heads, says, "I anoint you with holy oil in God the Father Almighty, and Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit." Then, after sealing each of them on the forehead, he shall give them the kiss of peace and say, "The Lord be with you." And the one who has been baptized shall say, "And with your spirit." So shall he do to each one [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21-22 (c. A.D. 215).
      Peter’s Authority:
      * “The Lord says to Peter: "I say to you,' he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven. [Mt 16:18-19]. On him he builds the Church, and commands him to feed the sheep [Jn 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed the others were also what Peter was [apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, by which it is made clear that there is one Church and one chair.... If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he think that he holds the faith? If he deserts the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he be confident that he is in the Church?.” [St. Cyprian of Carthage - Unity of the Catholic Church 4; first edition (Treatise 1:4) (A.D. 251)].
These few topics (but a glimpse) were not only discussed but settled BEFORE Rome adopted Christianity (The Catholic Church) and eventually became The Roman Catholic Church as it also adopted its name after 313 A.D.
Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church? Yes!
Does this excuse all its mistakes and sins from the record? Of course not! As Christians, we are called to hold the church accountable, not leave it and let evil flourish within it.
This refusal of accountability within every Christian has led to over 40,000 diferente Christian churches and the ignorance which has flourished from it.
“This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:13-15‬
We are called by God to unite! What better church to do it under than the one he started.

@@MossEYE- If you can, please read your Bible or take some college courses in reference to Christianity but I’ll try to help as well:
The Holy Spirit picked the Catholic Church to decide which books it deemed inspired. The Bible many quote and read was compiled by the Catholic Church and accepted by All Christians.
The schism of 1054 created the Orthodox Church (Catholics at the time), prior to that schism, we were united under the Catholic Church! Did the Holy Spirit not pick the Catholic Church? Was it not the Catholic Church who compiled the New Testament? Did the Roman Empire which ruled over both the west and east convert to Christianity and adopt the word Catholic for centuries prior to 1054 under the Roman Catholic Church?
Then, in the 16th century when the Protestant reformation happen (Catholics at the time) who decided to removed 7 books which is prohibited by scripture. This removal of scripture was led by Martin Luther (who was a Catholic priest at the time) became the reason why we now have over 40,000 different Christians denominations.
The Historical & Biblical illiteracy many freely demonstrate is the reason why this type of ignorance continues to devour Jesus’ church.

Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians).” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭
📖“In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.” Galatians‬ ‭2:9‬

Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:49-58

      ---Antioch---
Followers of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch and it was in Antioch that the word Catholic was first used to described Jesus’ earliest church, 300 years before Rome adopted Christianity! A church that was already established prior to both of those taking place, a church that Paul himself preached from, often visiting it and it was even there were he corrected Peter. Antioch was of such importance within early Christianity that Prophets and teachers were among its members as well.
      ---Paul---
      Corrects Peter:
📖“But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.” Galatians‬ ‭2:11‬
      Prophets & Teachers:
📖“Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called “the black man”), Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas), and Saul.”Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭13:1‬
      Church already established:
📖“Finally, they returned by ship to Antioch of Syria, where their journey had begun. The believers there had entrusted them to the grace of God to do the work they had now completed. Upon arriving in Antioch, they called the church together and reported everything God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles, too. And they stayed there with the believers for a long time.” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭14:26-28‬
Antioch is a prime example of why the Catholic Church is in fact Jesus’ original church.

I feel so blessed that she chose to come into the church after our marriage but I have to admit that converts always make me feel impious. They seem to have so much more conscious thought tied up in their relationship with the Mass whereas I have always just taken it as part of everyday life. Of course Jesus is there of, course we have blessed sacraments, of course I have sins that need atonement. It wasn't until my wife started RCIA that I realized that I was taking for granted the beauty and majesty of our faith because I'd always been a part of it. It really changed my relationship with the Church and made me more involved in my own journey with God.

After a lot of researching scripture I found that church was the Catholic Church, and I found how BEAUTIFUL it is in so many ways! I was surprised not only by the incredible beauty of the doctrines but by the beautiful expressions of faith at Mass (people kneeling, veils, praying as one, etc). I would love to see more reverence for Jesus in the Eucharist and priests who care a lot more about reverence, growth in holiness and our faith.

Dear sweet girl, greetings and blessings from a mother and cradle Catholic from Africa. I’m so happy that you found your home in the Catholic Church. I truly believe that being truly Catholic is not easy. A word of caution as your journey in your now fledging Catholic journey. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith, whatever Mass it is - Latin or novus order. Please be careful about drawing a distinction between the two. Understand that the Catholic Church is universal at its very core and meaning. In the novus ordo Mass, Catholic do not just ‘say things’ - all our responses are truly biblical, responding to the words of Scripture recited by the priest - just reverence should always be in Holy Mass - we do. It come to be entertained, but we have to be fully engaged and joined with Christ in their priceless sacrifice of the Mass. when we receive him, humbly, contritely, we are given the graces to become just a little more like Him. Please guard against feeling. I’ve travelled a bit and have attended Holy Mass in many different languages and cultures. Always the same sacrifice. I think it truly grieves the Holy Spirit when we allow our ‘feelings’ to decide that one Mass is ‘better’ than another. That is not of God. I am deeply concerned by the ‘divisions’ caused by this in the west. This not of God. Perhaps what would help is to imagine that God sends you to Africa and you have to attend Holy Mass in one of the rural areas. It’s vibrant and colourful, but nonetheless a perfect sacrifice, which I truly believe God accepts and is very pleased by the humility of the poor people who walk many, many kilometres just to get to Mass. Be blessed on your faith journey always✝️

Did the physical appearance of the bread change after He said those words ? NO. But do I still believe Jesus when He said This IS my body ? YES I DO.
I do not live by SIGHT; I live by FAITH. My faith in the words of Jesus ("This IS my body") tells me that the bread is NO LONGER bread but is now the real living BODY of Christ, EVEN THOUGH my eyes still SEE ordinary bread. Furthermore, I Know that Jesus was NOT speaking a metaphor because a sensible individual does not use the verb "IS" (or "AM") to refer to AN OBJECT as being HIMSELF when he is pointing to the object right there in front of him (for instance, that is why Paul wasn't physically showing the Corinthians a piece of rock in his hands when he told them that "the rock IS Christ" -- 1 Corinthians 10:4
Neither did Jesus hold up a vine plant in His hands to show it to His disciples when He told them: "I AM the True Vine" -- John 15:1

@@jerome2642 It was a metaphor. Christ was teaching that as bread is life in the flesh His word is life for eternity. It is the same lesson He taught to the woman at the well but He used the term living water. Christ wasn't lying, it was His body that stood in front of the disciples and His body that would be broken apart like He broke the bread. It is the price He paid that He commanded us to remember. You don't think it's a bit funny that if we are saved that way the apostles never taught it. In fact, neither Christ nor the apostles ever said mass
Christ is no more a piece of bread than He is actually a door, lamb, water, or vine.
In John 6 most people turned away because they didn't have ears to hear as they refused to believe Christ was the Son of God. Only the apostles received the message in verse 68-69 When peter replied that Christ had the "words" to eternal life, and He was the Son of God.
We are saved by grace through faith, the gospel, the WORD.

You keep on giving wrong examples. For instance, your example about the woman at the well is an inappropriate example because Jesus didn't point to the water in the well and say "This IS the Holy Spirit" or "I AM this water". I challenge you to provide an example of when Jesus DIRECTLY referred to an object physically in front of Him using the verbs "is"/ "am" (just like He did at the last supper when He showed them bread and said "This IS my body") while speaking in a metaphoric sense. This is how I went back to the Catholic Church. From the beginning: my paternal grandparents were from Asturias Spain and they went to live in Cuba because my grandfather’s parents wanted him to be a Priest but he wanted to get married. On my maternal side, my mother’s grandparents went to Cuba as Methodists, I think they were part German and part Spanish, I am not sure. And when I was born in Cuba, my parents were in the Catholic Church and I got baptized in the Catholic Church. My mom went to a Catholic school growing up but was taken out when she was a little older because of the threats of the communists. When they came to this country, my parents, they were invited to Protestant churches and so they and we became Protestant. My twin sister and I never really liked the Protestant church and we would even ask my dad if there was a church that was full of sanctity and some things that were Catholic without us even knowing it. He kept it hush but my parents realized what was happening. Moving forward, the doctors found a cancer in my kidney while in college and I was really tormented. Going to Protestant churches trying to find fulfillment. One day, when I was going in for the biopsy, I asked my sister to put the Christian tv channel for me at the hospital. But they were selling a book or asking for money, I don’t remember exactly what it was but it was really tormenting. I told her to change it and the mass came up, first time I’ve seen it. And I told her to stay on it. It was amazing: reading the Bible, getting blessings, no screaming, etc. I told her that when we get through this, we’re going back to the Catholic Church. And after the biopsy, we did start going to RCIA and did confirmation. We were already baptized Catholic. They removed my stage 3 renal cancer by surgery and I’m currently and thankfully cancer free right now. And something that really Stuck with me was that my priest told me and I would be ok if I lived or if I died. I’ll never forget that. Because it’s really true. In protestants churches, we’re not really taught about suffering but it is a reality even Jesus, the apostles, the prophets, and the Saints go through. Edit- We’ve never been happier. We’re in the Catholic Church and we’ve learned so much, feel community, and even feel closer to God.
