The cross was a favorite method of torture used by the Romans. Thus an empty cross as used in protestant churches is just an homage to an instrument of torture.
Jesus in the cross gives a totally different meaning to the cross as an instrument of salvation.
That is why Paul says "I preach Christ and him crucified"

Jesus on the cross, also makes the devil look like the powerless addition of glib and murderous greed driven true madness that he is.

There is little evidence the early church actually use crosses as symbols for Christianity and took even longer time to accept crucifixes. It's understandably why because Romans still crucified people. Early Christians going around with golden crucifixes around their necks would appear extremely strange since Romans was still crucifying people. I wouldn't doubt 1st century Christians would find it odd Christians today wearing golden crosses let alone golden crucifixes as jewelry.
Paul preached "Christ and him crucified" is not Paul preaching on crosses vs crucifixes.

Cradle Catholics are soooo used to the crucifix. My parents had a fairly large one in their bedroom. As kids we stared at it a lot. My mom also put out a picture of The Sacred Heart too! That’s pretty freaky for kids because Jesus is showing his heart. Not a cute valentine but an organ. But yes, growing up Catholic we sure do ponder his sufferings and wounds.

This video reminded me that its very important to be aware of how people who did not grow up either Catholic or Orthodox did not necessarily grow up understanding the importance of depicting Jesus at all stages of His life. As an Orthodox Christian, I've grown up very used to seeing icons of Jesus on the cross and crucifixes and it has never bothered me. (Not to say that it can't be bothersome, still, to those who're cradle Orthodox or Catholic, because it can be, and everybody has their own spiritual journey.) I'm just realizing that it has never occurred to me, as a cradle Orthodox Christian, to be "triggered" by seeing Jesus on the cross. I understand that this is a jarring image to many, however. It puts us face-to-face, in as much as that is possible without having seen with our own physical eyes, the crucifixion and Jesus' death.

We must experience what love itself experienced, that of suffering. In order for us to learn love at a deeper level, we must experience it at a deeper level. The deepest level is suffering because that's what love itself did. Keep your eyes on the crucifix, for Jesus without the cross is a man without a mission, and the cross without Jesus is a burden without a reliever.”----Fulton J. Sheen (Venerable)
    1 Corinthians:

NIV: You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
RSV-CE O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

There were two criminals also crucified along with Jesus on that day and each of the three were hung on the wooden cross side by side, but there was difference between the cross of two others and the cross of Jesus. On top of the cross of Jesus there was a name plate which said (INRI) Meaning Jesus of Nazareth,. King of the Jews. Protestants claim that Jesus died on the cross and rose to life but the Catholics still carry the hung up Jesus on the cross. But if the cross is without Jesus and the name plate like the plain wooden cross of the Protestants, then the Protestant plain wooden cross is not of Jesus but it is of the rebellious criminal. As simple as that.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the Word of the Cross is certainly foolishness to those who are
perishing. But to those who have been saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians {1:22} For the Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom. {1:23} But we are preaching Christ crucified. Certainly, to the Jews, this is a scandal, and to the Gentiles, this is foolishness. {1:24} But to those who have been called, Jews as well as Greeks, the Christ is the virtue of God and the wisdom of God. {1:25} For what is foolishness to God is considered wise by men, and that which is weakness to God
    is considered strong by men.
1 Corinthians {2:2} For I did not judge myself to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Galatians {3:1} O senseless Galatians, who has so fascinated you that you would not obey the truth, even though Jesus Christ has been presented before your eyes,
    crucified among you?
Galatians {6:14} But far be it from me to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
Phillipians {3:17} Be imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who are walking similarly, just as you have seen by our example. {3:18} For many persons, about whom I have often told you (and now tell you, weeping,) are walking as enemies of the cross of Christ. {3:19} Their end is destruction; their god is their belly; and their glory is in their shame: for they are immersed in earthly things.

5:47 The prayer you mentioned, loosely based on Corinthians, is one of the additions in the New Liturgy.
You may note it is not there in either Latin Mass or Eastern Liturgies ... it is one of the reasons some have to reject the New Liturgy, as "until you come again" sounds like an odd thing to say after transsubstantiation, when Christ is already there before us.
That said, the actual text in Corinthians is a proof text for Mass really being a sacrifice.

@@tbw980371 I don’t even know what you’re referring to perhaps you could explain it in common English instead of referring to something that is specific knowledge. I’m not stupid but not familiar with the reference you mentioned.

Catholics did not change the 10 commandments. It is lifted and literally numbered like the one in Exodus and Deuteronomy. I've seen a lots of Catholic RUclips videos about this. Maybe go out of your comfort zone some times and and look into those perhaps? 😊 They can better explain it than I do.

Acts 15 just debunks SDA doctrine because at that verse is the council of Jerusalem(first council of the Catholic church) where all the Jewish practices necessary for salvation was condemned from temple sacrifice, circumcision, eating pork,Sabbath etc that's why We celebrate on a Sunday because Jesus resurrected on a Sunday

@@michaelwachira8484 You can give reasons why you go to church on the first day but reasons without Biblical justification is still a church making rules instead of Scripture making a change in God’s law. God wrote the 10 Commandments with his finger on tablets of stone and the human leaders of your church changed one of Gods Commandments. All those other things you mentioned were ceremonial rules but the Sabbath was one of the 10 Commandments that’s completely different set of Law.

Must deny himself.......Greed and usury are AGAINST God. This is what Emperor Louis "the Pious", son of Charlemagne (preparing the world for the return of Jesus) said about it:
God forbid and we do not want it, but should it happen that one among them (the 2 later 3 younger brothers _and their offspring/heirs/lawfull successors_ of Louis' eldest son Lothar, he and the eldest of his lineage, called Lotharingen, designated to be his single successor.......as Emperor) lusting after worldly goods - which is really the root of all evil - divides or oppresses the churches, extorts the poor or becomes a tyrant in which lies every cruelty then, according to God's ordinance, let him be secretly admonished by faithful messengers a first, a second, and a third time for amendment. And should he reject this, then he will be summoned by his - eldest - brother and in the presence of the other brother fatherly and in brotherly love admonished and rebuked. And should he wholly disregard this salutary admonition, it shall be decided by the common consent of all what should be done with him; and when salutary admonition cannot prevent criminal action, imperial power and common decree will restrain it.
