Is your amp rack screwed in where you have it in the video?? I am mounting mine in the same spot and need to know if I can screw into the chassis right there without causing problems. Thank you
When ever you disconnect the battery you have to do a drive cycle for all the monitors to start working. I jack both wheels In back and do the drive cycle in my driveway
How on earth did you run the RCA’s through the dashboard to the unit? I cannot get it past the steering wheel to the head unit! Some input would be appreciated!
I figured it out. I’d say that its easier to start from where the headunit is and work your way back. It’s hard to explain how i got it through but its honestly pretty simple.
i just got an bmw 316I 2005 and it already has an aftermarket hu from pioneer installed (MVH-S300BT) Ive heard these have an factory amplifier in the trunk so i was wondering if i could splice cables from them and use an loc and that way only have to do stuff in the trunk please respond
Parts linked in the description!
Thanks for this video, I had no idea where to route the wires lol
Can you use the original radio?

I’m in the exact same boat. Good luck figuring it out. None of these videos are helpful and they never show in depth where they actually run the wires
I wonder the same. Have you managed to figure it out yet?

Took a few tries but eventually it got through the hole. You really have to get under the dash with your head to see when the cable gets through
And the steering wheel control functions with the new radio.
Yes they do - see the radio install video for that information (link in the description)
How’d you mount the amp’s mounting board? Did you screw it down where it is?
Very helpful thank you
Hi, would this install process be similar to an e39 as well?
Can you power the back door speakers with the stock amp in the trunk? Or does putting an aftermarket head unit make that amp useless?
Hi can I use the same rido for the e46 318i for just use sub end 6 by 9 brather..??
Hi, do you know if i could install a 2x12 ground zero sub in a bmw e46 with an original radio (not afternarket)
Just a heads up all e46 models batteries are in the trunk. That spot in the front is for the ABS pump. Looks like the person deleted ABS
No, the 4cyl models have the batterie in the front✌
@@nilsseeli4140 untrue. Go look up 318i engine bays. All have abs pumps
@@kadenbourgeois1 Where are you from? I have a 318i Facelift, German Version, my Batterie is in the Front.
@@nilsseeli4140 well that’s why. Yall germans got all the exclusive shit🤣
@@kadenbourgeois1 yeah but wr also have TÜV🥲
Can you wire through the passenger side to get to the radio?

Did you ever get an answer? I’m trying to find where to splice in an LOC
@@Bruh-bx9mh i did not
Do you have to run the rca wire and the remote wire up to the radio if you keep oem radio ?
No, you can splice into the factory amp in the rear. We did that on a different version of this install on our channel.
Nice video, clean install 👍🏾.
After using car would not start
