I’ll be using this to fix the shoddy install the previous owner did for the Eonon in my car. Honestly, the car play is game changing. My girlfriend and I love it.
I like how you described getting that upper dash trim piece behind the radio, I couldn't get it to rotate down into place because of the two plastic pins sticking out from the radio surround. They have to go into a slot in the trim piece. I ended up cutting a chamfer on the bottom of the pins to let the trim piece rotate into place, just a few mm removed from the pins, then the trim piece was able to rotate into place with almost no resistance. It was key to leave the upper screws loose, once the trim was rotated I snuck a thin shaft small phillips screwdriver in and tightened the screws.
have the same u nit installed just a couple of days ago and it's amazing - if you replace a 16:9 factory display then you need an extra extension adapter cable that you have to navigate from the rear to the front of the car. I do recommend to add a rear camera and a DAB+ window aerial - game changer head unit !

Nice Video. I don't think you mentioned the model of the Eonon. I was looking to get a 4GB Ram, but they have run out leaving with the options of 6GB Android 13 or 2GB Android 10. However 6GB is twice as much as 2GB. Is 2GB enough for apple car play? I only want radio/spotify and google maps. Thanks.

Yes its definitely the hardest part with the install. That was a good idea.

Im getting no sounds on mine it beeps but no radio or bluetooth working
