This is incredibly high production quality for such a low level channel that gets barely viewed. You guys are truly underrated and i seriously wonder how can you just not get burnt out or tired..
Quick tip: they make a tool that specifically shaped to be able to take off the oil filter housing cap. You can find them for pretty cheap online. Oh and p.s. our m54’s don’t like revs during cold starts but I’m def subbing keep up the content boys! Sincerely, a 2003 325ci owner
Few things wrong here. Always put the oil cap back after removing the beauty cover. Replacing the intake boot with a brand new item will be one of my top priorities. I wouild be concerned with the condensation I see under the oil cap. You don't seem like letting the car to fully warm up. Doing many short trips will cause this and clog up oil recirculation system prematurely. An iconic car like this will last long and keep you out of trouble, if you fix these small but critical stuff. Be sure to keep cooling system in tip top condition as well.
The air intake has since been replaced. Condensation on cap was a sealing issue. The car has an iffy thermostat in colder weather. The expansion tank has been replaced prior and all hoses are in good condition as well as the rad. Oil cap was put back on between shots, videos are naturally edited so doesn't show all the down time in between shots. Appreciate the input though - they're good points for others to go over 👍
Greetings, Phly Daily sent me :-) I have made it a habit of cleaniing out my air cleaner box. To be honest though I live in a desert like are of California and I get a ton of sand and fine dirt in there. I also keep a MAF spray cleaner handy for when it gets fouled and the MAF's tend to be a bit pricey on various vehicles and the spray cleaner can save you quite a bit of money.
Great vid! I've got exactly the same car (same colour too) but with a black interior. Easy to service and a rock solid car. Thinking about getting my disa valve upgraded with a kit you can get on-line. Soon i will check out an issue i have with my interior fan sometimes not working..all fuses are fine and one windscreen washer not working.
Hi there, just wondering if you saw any oil on your spark plugs? I'm servicing mine,a bit on oil on plugs but I think it's down time not tightening them enough. White smoke from exhaust and no oil leaks thankfully.
me, in night battle with a stock tank, stuck a rock, and i think i am on the way to B point. first, buy that dammed boot m8, and always take out close side (i cant translate this but i can say like this. filter cover and sensor connect a long junction but sensor and boot have short junction) so you must take of filter cover with map sensor. boot never be broken. not have knowledge about bmw, this is general technic on cars. sensors works on range, example maf sensor works on 10kg on idle @hot engine. between 5kg 25kg (numbers are fiction) its not think there is a problem or leak. when socket off, when kg -4 or 26+ there will be engine light on. so, if there is a leak, and its work on 6kg, managment system dont think there is problem. adjust fuel for 6kg. that means you are spending your boot money to petrol and have low performance. dont risk your money to a duct tape.
I would normally remove the sump plug first to let the oil fully drain while changing the filters. Cabin filter, as is all too common, looks like its never been changed.
@@omegapolat Im not hating it. Its just they dont have much cars that I like. The old M1 is awesome, The M2 is pretty dope. M3 GTR and GTS ofc is something I would love to give a ride. The old 850CSi is also pretty dope. But Im simply not interessted in most of the other models
@@JChris2403 i was worked for mercedes, their vision cover all my life, quality and reliable very important for me. bmw just go on sporty and desing. so i hate. ahh M1, i remember there was photo of a very first M1 for an expo. its red but had a dark red on it, as like a strip, so car look like its under the a bridge and there is a shadow on car. but not a road car for me, just dream car.
you should get more subs it is not fair. use like (for this video incredibly well held BMW ) . try to corporate with other channels . you have quality content . better than gaming ones
Yeah the shaking is seriously disorienting. Obviously the camera user is “hip” enough to do gimmicks like zooming into the person’s face unnecessarily, but you know to do shit like that but not use a proper gimball or something? Thankful for the video but truly hate the camera movement.
I know right? I'm sure those silly shows like Monty Python, Black Adder, Mr Bean and some weird thing called Top Gear never caught on. British humour is so stupid.
For once, something has gone right on this channel! Huzzah!

Super appreciate that! Thank you.
You deserve more love for such a high quality production brotha
Thanks mate, appreciate that!

Thanks dude! It was a while ago but I think we let it warm a little before revving it. Might be wrong though!
I greatly appreciate the work you did for this video, it's helped me do my first oil service today!
Glad to be of 'service' 😂
cheers guys. Just what I needed to know for my 318 ti 2L compact
You're very welcome!
Keep the oil cap on at all times. Anything can fall in...
Great video guys!
Phly sent me
Welcome!
Thanks alot for this video. You guys gave me the confidence to do the service by myself for the first time ever. 1 love form South Africa
Pleasure! If we can do it, you can too 😂
Aweh
Did you fill up the oil filter housing with cylinder oil before replacing the lid?
Just subscribed & More E46 projects pls!
There will be a new E46 video next week!

That's a good idea, I'll have to make sure the MAF is all okay soon!

No final start? Did you break it? :P
Hahah nope it's all good! 😂 Running much happier.

That'd certainly be the way forward if you wanted to cut service time that's for sure!
@21:30 Mr Ed Sheeran being sarcastic 😎
I know this is an older video, but what wheels are those?
Standard MV1 alloys!
Tip- if you can only buy Boch parts-oil/air filters exc
nice vid but no lube on spark plug threads is crazy imo
Im german and not a big BMW fan (I hope I dont need to leave the country now) but I really enjoy your videos
Thank you, Chris!
germans hates bmw because of "türken" people. i hate too, except old 6 series.
but this video shows british suffer on german cars. thats cause brexit.

hmm, my 325ci surely doesn't sound that good. maybe its the garage acoustics? or modified exhaust?
All stock system!
i have a bmw 325ci should i use Castroll 5W-30 LL or 5W-30 C3
We used LL, but honestly as long as it's the correct type of oil it should be fine.
Camera moving around a tad too much imo ....making me a bit dizzy 😅

This is how it goes every time I work on my car.
We understand haha!
but you should get new cameras . and a table with your old camera zoomed and fixed to show small things.
Haha all content comes out of our own pocket right now and these cameras are about £1,500 each so maybe down the line!
PhlyDaily bug here.......... you guys need some cheap RC drifters with BM and Porsche body's for that workshop floor..... lol.
That'd be a lot of fun! 😂
Jared is still technically right, it was just the wrong side 🤭
Getting a bit dizzy with the camera work lads.
Yeah back then we had no stabilisation equipment at all, it was pretty rough lmao
Painful camera job sorry -.-
