That comment about how your person wouldn't want you to be like this, or implying that our grief would upset them in some way... This is something that is incredibly upsetting to me. I try my hardest to be polite, say thank you & move on. While the entire time in my head and heart I'm screaming, "how could you possibly know what he would want and feel?!"
I agree, my son would want love, happiness & joy for me. He never wanted to see me cry & would try to fix anything that potentially caused me sadness. HOWEVER, he of all people would understand my pain & I imagine if he could, he would wrap his big strong arms around me & tell me to take all the time I need. He would know how hard I'm trying, how hard I'm fighting to remain present.

There's just something about people saying it that's grating, right? I'm the same way. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️

You are right every grief journey is very unique I know with mine I would say emptiness and sadness are my biggest things I have my good days and my bad days but as time goes on it's a little less but I know it will never leave my heart part of my heart is in heaven..
I have others in my life than I need to care for and that is very helpful during this journey and gives me a purpose as I always said I will see my son again someday I know some people don't see it that way but that's how I see it and that's how I cope My thoughts are with all of you that are on this journey I understand what you're going through❤

Myth number 6 although I know it’s not true sometimes I feel like moving forward means forgetting them. I think it’s sadness too that they are not here to be moving forward and sharing life with us. All my husband wanted was for me to be happy. He used to say if you’re happy then I’m happy. So to honour him I’m trying my best. Thanks for this video I really needed to hear this today❣️

You are so welcome! I struggle with number 6 as well. I think a lot of it has to do with guilt... there were so many things I wanted to do with Libby and I feel guilty that I'm doing things without her. 💔

Another, they loved a long life so should be ok. It’s never long enough with someone so special like your parents.
