As much as I love how Chris is dedicated to spreading positivity and appreciation for film.... man, it felt so good to see him just tear a movie apart again.
I miss his hilariocity videos...
THISSSSSS
Honestly Halloween 6 (producer’s cut) isn’t nearly as bad as some of the sequels
Yes
@@ACD95 this movie was destroyed by studio interference. Both Moustaffa and his son were aghast. The producer's cut is infinitely better
I get why he has chosen not to do bad reviews lately, but you can see how much fun he is having here, he should at least still do videos like this for sure
Agreed
In my honest opinion he seems unhappy whenever he talks about not criticizing movies anymore like it was someone else’s decision.
@@themakeupism That much was pretty clear since he made the decision once he got a toe in the door of the industry. I understand it and I don't blame him. I just wish he would've said that instead of what I suspect was only the half-reasoning he gave months ago.
Chris’s face while Paul Rudd is explaining the thorn absolutely killed me
This was my face as well when I saw this in the theater when it came out. I loved Chris' review of this one!
You're not "bashing" new films though. Criticism vs just being rude are totally different. Criticism is important in the film industry =/
Not when you’re trying to break into the industry lol
Right thats the entire point of being a film critic. You cant pretend to be a critic and say youre only going to talk about good movies so you dont affect how well the not so good movies will do. The whole point is to let people know if a film is worth seeing or not so they can make a decision on wether or not to spend the money and time on it. Especially now with a lot of people short on cash its good to know if a film is worth spending 20 or more dollars to go and see.
@@coreyhamby2989 obviously Chris is trying to “make it” and part of that is kissing some Hollywood ass unless the movie is 25 years old 🤷
@@CarloisBuriedAlive kissing ass and selling out. It's sad, honestly.
I AGREEEEE, constructive criticism is what helps directors make better films, and helps us moviegoers to not waste our precious money.
This was the most fun video chris has done in a while. Hes clearly enjoying himself
Because he doesn't have to worry about burning any bridges by talking about this movie. All of the others are middle-of-the-road nonsense. I liked him better when he was just being real.
@@paulbenvin4394 amen
Have to say I love the way I feel when I see the nurse and car from Psycho in the other Halloween movie!
Indeed!!!!!
@@paulbenvin4394 I think he’s still being real, he’s just being real about movies he likes and choosing not to talk about the ones he does like. That being said, I do miss when he would just absolutely trash on garbage films!
“People always gotta touch the goopy gunk.”- Chris Stuckmann
Egon, your mucus.
I understand the argument for not making negative reviews. But i also think there’s value to them, helping us identify bad movies and appreciate the good ones.
Exactly, I'll stick with Jeremy Jahns reviews
There are more than enough negative reviews out there. I am glad to see one more person focus on the positive.
Did you really anybody to tell you that Halloween 6 was awful though?
Very true.
Regarding the hand scare, the only time that has ever worked for me was in Jurassic Park with Ellie turning to find the severed hand 😆
Niceeee
Quite right.
I'm actually starting to think that Daniel Farrands is Chris's arch-nemesis
“We’re not so different, you and I.”
*bad guy cackling*
@@canorth Yeah, he's the Fred Fuchs to Chris's AVGN at this point. This movie's so bad, that it killed Donald Pleasance, but I'm glad it didn't end Paul Rudd's career immediately. Because he's a great actor who doesn't do terrible movies like this one anymore. Seriously, look at the filmography of Paul Rudd, and tell me if he's still doing crappy movies now. It didn't have to be awful, but damn, this movie's just bad. Now, Paul Rudd is doing stuff like Ant-Man; and the new Ghostbusters. Which could only help his career. I've always enjoyed seeing Paul Rudd's name in a movie, but I never knew about this Halloween movie. I knew they started to keep getting worse and worse, I mean, in either Halloween: Resurrection, or Halloween: H20, Busta Rhymes does a jumping karate kick, and jump kicks Michael Myers out of the top window, and it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And it's way worse than this movie. At least this movie had the last appearance of Donald Pleasance, and the beginning career of Paul Rudd, so it can claim to have those things. Plus, the title of the movie sounds cool, in my opinion. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. About the only good things in the movie, but it's a shame this was Donald Pleasance's last on-screen performance. It feels like the dude deserved better. Anyways, sorry about the long rant. Like many other people here, I've also missed Chris's Hilariocity Reviews. But I didn't want to unsubscribe. I wanted to keep supporting Chris's channel, even if that means no more Hilariocity reviews, but I was hoping he'd still do those. I guess it's not entirely clear yet? As long as he keeps that tradition alive. I do hope he keeps doing Hilariocity reviews, because like many other people said, he seems to be enjoying them, and most of us are enjoying them, right? So why end such a successful thing? I'd at least keep the Hilariocities going, because even if you mainly just keep supporting positive movies, there's always going to be bad movies. They're not going away anytime soon. And we do need someone to help us with those, but even if he's not going to do those kinds of reviews, I'd still watch the channel anyways. Because his reviews have always been good, and while I was almost starting to get used to no Hilariocities, then this video shows up. Hopefully Chris knows that it's ok to criticize a movie, even a good movie, and still be positive about it. It's not impossible to do. But good luck to him anyways. And good luck to everyone else out there, and I hope your Halloween ends up going great.
Farrands at least did his research for this one and tried his best to come up with a coherent story after the decisions made by Akkad & co with 4 and 5 plus most of the "writing" was done by the Weinsteins and their groupies.
I think this is the closest we are gonna get to a Hilariocity from Chris
And it truly deserved a hilariocity for it. He promised us a hilariocity of Gods Of Egypt and The One tho, wonder if he still want to do both movies for hilariocity
Which sucks because he should feel ok to criticize a movie for how crappy it is. I hate that there’s no ratings anymore.
@@Bjork4s Not anymore now that he’s on a high horse.
@@ReanuKeaves1 he just doesn’t want to be so negative all the time, and know how hard it is to make movies. It’s a “glow up” if anything and I get him.
@@ReanuKeaves1 it’s more about respect for the film makers
Chris: "Look at how stupid these people look?" (referring to Mike Meyers and cult around the alter) 😂 Thank you for what might be the best laugh I have on Halloween night lol
And this film is considered an “underrated gem” in Halloween fandom these days 😓
😂😂 Thank you!! I was dying when he said that ! 😂
I miss you doing this types of reviews. It's like the closest thing we'll ever get to a Hilariocity review again.
I don't mind if you don't review movies or 'trash' things that are new but at LEAST keep doing the Hilariosity series, it's how I actually found your channel in the first place 😅😅😅
YES PLEASE!
For real I miss the hilariousity reviews. By the way… does anyone know the progress of Chris’s first directorial effort? Haven’t heard much since his announcement that he would be directing a film.
Agreed.
This
SAME!
I’m glad Chris has acknowledged that he should at least be able to talk negatively about older films. I hope maybe one day we can get another hilariocity.
Same here. It's just not the same without Hilariocities, you know? If Chris wants to do more positive reviews, I don't see why he can't, but I'd definitely want to see some more Hilariocity reviews someday too, dude. Those were always my favorite things about this channel. But Chris should know that it's entirely ok to still keep doing Hilariocities, and review more positive movies. But I do hope he can talk about Halloween: Resurrection again someday. Because that movie is hilariously bad. You got Busta Rhymes jump kicking Michael through a window, then, you got Busta electrocuting Michael, through his little Myers. It's hilarious how I'm not making either of those scenes up. Resurrection was the first Halloween movie I ever saw on tv. It was hilariously bad even back then. But I legitimately didn't know this was Donald Pleasance's last movie, or that this was one of Paul Rudd's first starring roles. I'm glad and surprised it didn't end his career almost immediately, because Paul Rudd is a great actor. But damn; Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers is still the worst Halloween movie. Because Resurrection is hilariously bad, almost like The Room of the Halloween movies. But 6? This one's just bad. But I'm glad Chris talked about it regardless. I missed these reviews from him, and I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one. Even good film critics can talk about negative movies, or talk negatively about some good movies, no movie's without flaws, but some do come pretty close. And I'd hate to see Chris just completely disregard Hilariocities, because those were his bread and butter; and like other people said here, he seemed to be having fun doing a Hilariocity again, even if it's just for the more hated side of the Halloween movie franchise. But even if he doesn't want to do these anymore, I still enjoy Chris's videos. The dude's just hilarious no matter what. Sorry if this was too long. I just had a lot to say.
?
I think we call that a 'cop out' or an 'exit strategy'.
Lmfao that Loomis impersonation had me dying! "I have unfinished business with Michael!" 😂😂😂
yeah i watched that like 3x 😂
Chris, "i'm going to give this movie a D-" your most entertaining reviews are the low score ones. never give up.
Hopefully he still thinks Halloween 3 is worse. That right there is one of worst movies ever made.
Really should’ve done a Hilariocity on Halloween: Resurrection.
He kinda did one with the Flick Pick on his channel a few years ago.
@@thegroove14 oh. 😲
I look forward to seeing it in 2023
@@killualovesgon6074 Maybe late 2023, or early to Halloween 2024? Let's hope so.

I absolutely miss these kind of reviews from Chris. Where he rips apart crappy movies. This is truly a Halloween treat.
Chris your Halloween specials give me life
. +. Honestly , Chris... I kind of miss your negative, critical reviews of some movies. I think it's healthy to have them _every once in a while_ ...
His rant on no one hearing the baby cry makes so much more sense now
The treatment of Jamie's character infuriates me beyond all belief.
the world needed chris making fun of a movie again. let hilariocity come back
Warning: Stop touching, sniffing and sometimes, sampling the goopy gunk on the ground. Walk away, people, walk away!🤣 You've got it, Chris. I've been saying this for decades!
Thanks so much for this, Chris! I understand and appreciate your desire to avoid negative reviews of new movies, but for movies like this, it's pretty fun! I'm glad you enjoyed doing it! It was a blast to watch!
Per Chris' opening about film crit, I think you can speak critically of a film without being negative.
Totally agree.
yeah that's a weird take to have also being negative towards movies isn't a bad thing film makers need to hear it sometimes to improve
@@athenajaxon2397 Yeah, exactly. You're right, ma'am.
Case example, off the top of my head, I'm pretty critical towards the Warcraft movie, but I would love to see a sequel IF it takes the many criticisms it recieved and applied them to a potential sequel to better itself.
Thank god he’s still reviewing the Halloween franchise on Halloween. Thank you Chris
"I'm not putting that in, okay I'll put that in"
Usually what happens after you light ten candles :P
This has got to be one of most hilarious and entertaining videos I've ever seen from Chris Stuckmann. Not only did you gloriously rip this movie apart but some of your comments were so funny (that candle bit was the best)
Randomly coming across you in the comments was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

WHERE'S THE BABY?
The only time the hand on shoulder scared me a little was in Jurassic Park when Ellie is going through that dark building and catches Arnold's arm .
This is the best Chris has been in a while. Fun review.
This movie has a lot of nostalgia for me. It was the first one I saw in a theater. Not the first Halloween I saw, but my first theatrical experience. Went with my cousin, who got me in to all kinds of music and movies back in the day. Miss hanging with him.
I get you don’t like doing this kinda content anymore but I miss this stuckmann this is the kinda stuff that made me fall in love with this channel it’s nice to see you having fun again
All this time I’ve been lighting candles and killing the mood - how foolish of me. Thanks for the advice Chris you’ve changed my life!
I gotta say, Chris…the hand of the tall man slamming down on Jodi’s shoulder in the mausoleum in PHANTASM got me good.
Fun fact: the "Curse of Michael Myers" subtitle was originally conceived as a joke, as in "this production is super duper cursed", but the producer didn't catch on and decided to run with it as a title
Halloween I, Halloween II and Halloween H20 are my favorites. These are the ones I rewatch.
Same here.. I do enjoy the two newest ones as well though
@@Monika-di7vv yeah me too, I also really enjoy 4 as well
@@Monika-di7vv I really enjoyed Halloween Kills. I don't know why it got such bad reviews.
I freaking love h20, especially the ending which unfortunately got ruined by resurrection
@@arielperez3613 I like to pretend that movie doesn't exist. lol
was waiting a full year for this video to drop, Chris never disappoints! 10:07-10:32 best 25 seconds of my life 😂😂
Thank you so much Chris stuckmann for reviewing yet another Halloween movie on Halloween! By the way just a personal opinion but I think the Michael Myers in this movie is actually really scary and I love the producers cut version of the theme song as well
That's because that is the one thing Halloween 6 got right, Michael's mask. It looked awesome and he looked scary as shit.
This movie ain’t good, but I find it a whole lot more enjoyable than Halloween 5. Filmmaking is a lot better, the mask is cool, and some of the deaths are fun
With all of its flaws the mood and atmosphere of the producers cut feels the closest to original Halloween.
@@bathtubbarracuda6275 agreed. Like I said, I don’t think it’s good or anything, but I guess if it’s in the bad movie section of this franchise I’d put it at the top of that list
Those are the main elements missing from H20 imo. The mask, the lighting and overall cinematography were severely lacking in that film compared to Curse.
WEEEE! 😂😂😂 I was laughing my ass off. Thank you for this video, Chris!
You're such a bright swath of positivity in film direction and analysis. I really appreciate the art of film due in great part to your videos, much respect.
There's a scene in this where Michael literally makes someones head explode by pushing it against a barred door. 🤯
The only thing amazing about this film is that Paul Rudd looks the same today 😂
This movie screams Hilariocity. And they picked the steapest steps ever to knock him down 😂. If I hadn't already been laughing, that part got me.
This review was one of our all time favorites, we were laughing pretty hard at a few points…Chris these are golden thanks for the content
"For pulse-pounding suspense and relentless thrills, nothing can match Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers -- one of the most frightening chapters in the chilling Halloween series."
Gotta love that that's the ad RUclips put next to Chris' video to try to sell this movie...while Chris is just crapping on it.
The only good "hand on shoulder" scare is in Jurassic Park.
Mr Arnold is still alive. Jackson will return in Jurassic World 3 with a bionic arm.
I saw Critters on the shelf…I had totally forgot about that movie. Absolutely loved it as a kid. If you haven’t already, review that one!
It looked like you had so much fun making this video!! I had a absolute blast watching this video Chris! So funny!! 😆😆
THANK YOU CHRIS FOR ANOTHER HALLOWEEN BLAST!! 🎃🎃🎃
There's nothing wrong with being critical of new films if they suck.
Totally. Becomes a pointless channel. Who's gonna watch a review when they already know its gonna receive a B grade or above
@@jamesg8175 Because they might want to hear what chris has to say about the film? You know, the whole point of the channel? And I understand where he is coming from. If you are working in the film industry while also trashing on films, it must feel a little awkward.
@@ashenone6166 I know what he's going to say...its a good movie (B or above).
@@jamesg8175 if you only watch reviews for the arbitrary letter rating at the end then you're probably doing it wrong. I wanna know what the reviewer thinks about the movie. Him only reviewing movies he likes just means that you're not watching for whether or not he likes a movie but rather you're watching to see WHAT he likes. It's ultimately what I've been watching his videos for since the start so his decision changes nothing for me.
@@jamesg8175 There's so much more to say about film than just "it's good". Far more complex than that.

Yes
Yaaaay! Thanks Chris! Happy Halloween. I always enjoy your critique of films.
This is hysterical. You had me rolling in this review
In defense of the sex scene with the candles set up, didn’t they have the candles cause the power went out? I remember the dad coming home to the power off and Michael Myers electrocuting him.
Exactly. Chris Stuckmann doesn't know what he's talking about...and he also stated he didn't see how he could be in two places at the same time. Tim Strode said it was 'half a mile' from there at the campus. Rough estimate while walking, it would only take ten minutes. So that's two things with him.
@@slipshot9074 You know what, the movie was awful. Who’s gonna give a damn about those details unless it’s actually a knife stunt from M:I-II??
Whose talking about Mission Impossible III? This review is absolutely awful. Already PaulCastles pointed out the obvious clue that he had missed was the reasoning behind the candles, and I added that if given the fact that it was only half a mile, it would take ten minutes walking time. Trust me, if you set a timer on a walking machine, at about 3 you would get there then in 10 minutes. Also, the DJ slipped into the Smith's Grove van instead of his own. That was another thing he missed. Let alone in fact you have to see his review of Alien Covenant and he gave it a B-...are you kidding me? And Halloween Kills, another B-...both of those are C ranked or D rank to me.
@@slipshot9074 you sound like such a douche. Do people enjoy being around you or do you stay inside your house alone most the time?
@@modest1989 Honestly, if you can hear me out instead of trying to insult me, which doesn't work at all...there is 'another' thing that I will prepare you for. He stated there's a scene with the doctor with his arms out and he randomly lets out a 'whee' and busts out laughing and said it looked stupid. Given the fact that Jamie was doped up on meds you are seeing what 'she' saw...and in the process you see things differently. Whether sped up, or slowed down, it gave us the desired effect of what was going on in her process from her perspective. So saying it looked awful, well, I consider that a little bit juvenile.
I love that Chris is having so much fun in this video
Great intro! I do really hope we get hilariosity videos again because those are easily some of my favourites on the channel
I’m happy for Chris Stuckmann for his new movie and I understand that he doesn’t want to do anymore negative reviews but I had to admit… I missed this side of him 😆
Great job Chris and again, congratulations
Bro Chris’ face phase-in during the Paul Rudd explanation killed me
This is like the Jason Takes Manhattan for Michael, in that it’s not so bad that it makes me angry (Rob Zombie movies) or that it’s so ridiculous that it’s entertaining (Resurrection), it’s just the most boring and forgettable installment
No this is Like jason goes to hell because they both changed story line with a cult and a demon jumping bodys to body's and there from the 90s to its both different from there franchise.
5 is way more boring and forgettable imo
Except there is no scene on the level of someone punching the hell of out Michael for like 2 solid minutes straight before Michael counters by simply one punching their head clean off and into a dumpster.
I remember that Jason Goes to Manhattan scene. I don't remember anything about Halloween 6 except Paul Rudd beating green blood out of Michael with a pipe and Dr Loomis dying off screen.

Appreciate you not doing negative reviews for new releases but man I love your critiques!! You always give me a good laugh. Thanks for bringing them back for Halloween
I always found this one at least more entertaining than most of the other sequels
I've always liked the whole concept with the zodiac/mark when it appears, Michael appears. I've always thought that was dope. I thought the kills were brutal, Paul Rudd is great, he's creepy and weird but he's the good guy. I didn't find it hilariously bad at all. Maybe the cult thing was a bit out of place, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. I've always thought Halloween 6 was badass, very dark tone, great pacing, great characters, great kills, creepy atmosphere, and great musical score. Overall I can't hate this movie or say it's shit, I don't see it the way Chris see's it sorry. I'll defend Halloween 6 to the end.

The thing that always bugs me about the "hand on the shoulder" maneuver in horror movies is that nobody ever actually gets people's attention like that in real life. Unless you're at some loud party, you're just going to say "hey Bob". This is especially true for when you're sneaking up behind people, like in every movie instance.
I don’t know why I’m DYING to See what Chris thinks of The Rob Zombie Films

This is just a Hilariocity review in disguise, and I'm so happy
I like how a constellation appears from time to time. Also the timeframe between when it appears on Halloween. 15 years, then 10 years, then 1 year, then 6 years.

Also when it shows the graphic of the thorn constellation, it doesn’t even show a pattern of stars that looks like the thorn symbol. There’s just a bunch of stars scattered everywhere, but they still highlight the the thorn pattern even though the stars were not aligned in that pattern in any way, shape, or form.
