My favourite bit of the dave mustaine interview..is when joe showed him a band photo from the 1st tour /kill em all....and dave didnt care about the metallica thing, he was genuinly sad over cliff
Just ordered my first Solar guitar, can’t wait for it to arrive! Great video as always Ola.
They are awesome, i own 2. Pro Tip get a Fret wrap for the reverse head stock. They tend to have a ringing behind the nut, because of the form. This comes with really good tuning stability for low tunings though, so not a problem but a feature. Enjoy and have a great time with your new solar!

I was one week away from ordering one 2 months ago. Then my comp decided to take a shit and needed to build a new one. Started saving up again. Hopefully in a few months.
@@BillPinkNye I got mine the other day, fantastic guitar. Don't think it had been stored well as the frets were a bit oxidised. Polished them up, bit of lemon oil on the fingerboard and fitted some Elixir strings (prefer them and have them on all my guitars) and she absolutely sings.
What you said in the end about not growing quick but steadily really resonates with me and it's one of the things I like so much about all of the stuff you're doing; and it shows in the community and your content that it's working out.

Even on the first pressing of Kill Em All, Mustaine is credited on the songs with his riffs - Metal Militia included. Look up pictures of the 83 release on discogs or e-bay if you believe otherwise. He was credited on RTL as well. Doesn't seem Metallica were trying to get away with anything.
Exactly. I have my vinyl of those albums bought in the 80's and they credit Mustaine were due. And if he is credited, he is getting paid.
i think hes bitter about lars wanting to get credit for the metal up your ass, which dave neglected and thats the reason those demos were rereleased
Even on S&M he's credited.

Ola, greetings from Raeford North Carolina, USA. I’ve been a sub for a few years. I rewatched your Dime visit to Texas video the other day. It had to be such a moving experience. I’ve enjoyed watching your channel evolve and and grow. One of the other guys that I watch,Stay Metal Ray, just got an orange Solar and loves it. Kid can jam. You ought to hook him up with a top notch one. 🤔😉. Although I don’t play guitar well, my dad was a luthier and I watched a few acoustics be built. I enjoy looking at a quality guitar and appreciating the craftsmanship that goes into making them. I have no FKN clue where this is going, just rambling. Toggle switches to swap between single and humbucker for each pickup 1st knob is blend between saddle pickup and pickups. Lowest knob is pick up blend then volume.

Speaking of Dime guitars.. Back in early Jan. '22 I ordered a last issue Dean USA Custom Dime Slime. Still has not been completed. I've contacted the store I purchased it from, they say there's a list if custom guitars being built. Starting to wonder if the lawsuit has affected the Custom shop. Another good SWOLA Ola, and eagerly awaiting the 100th video! 🤘🤘

Ola, I'm glad you went out touring rather than just being a RUclipsr for the last decade. Folks that have been out there and played in bands seen to have a different perspective about what they think is interesting and technique Vs someone that has always sat in a bedroom playing guitar and making content.
Besides, gigs, carrying gear everywhere, enduring the randomness that comes with it develops a unique sense of humour that someone who just receives boxes in the mail and carries them upstairs for review will never know.

I don't even want to imagine what Davis and Lee are gonna sound like in their 60s. If you ask me, sure, talent is nice to have... but between talent and dedication, I think dedication matters more.
Interesting guitar. Shape does look a bit on the conventional side, but man, that higher fret access! I think I might have to look into their other guitars as well.

i think the explorer shape is so sick. the solar version is also really cool, it’s almost like a stealth version, like how the dime guitars have.
As the owner of a David Ellefson Jackson CBX bass, that new Solar looks and sounds freaking dope. I would def pre-order one of those!

Agufish is awesome, and his new place/gear displays are crazy.
They did an '84 reissue explorer back during the GOTW run around 2007 I think. They can bring those back again and capitalize on Hetfield without making it a sig or having anything to do with him. So while I think an '84 reissue of some kind is very possible I highly doubt it will be a Hetfield sig.
They weren't true 84 though, they were the wrong shape and headstock. Ppl who covet an 84 notice these things- I'm one of them! 😁👍

Edit: I don't know why Mustaine went with Gibson and why people would be stupid enough to pay three grand for a guitar when they can get plenty use out of a guitar for less than a third of the price if they look after it properly.
yeah, it might just be nostalgia, but I think his Dean's looked better. Also if I'm paying 3 grand it would be for a custom Keisle or something similar haha
It's a lovely time to be a rock and metal fan, pantera announces it's touring in 2023, both guitarists are going back to gibson and dimebag guitars are being centralized in their own private brand (hopefully)

View from viewers side about "would you change anything about related to youtube", I think you being band member in known bands have helped also grow the channel? When I saw you first time I for sure was more willing to stick checking when I saw that you are playing in Feared and The haunted.
back when korn was on the rise, Im pretty sure there was a bunch of top tier bands that thought the same thing about them, "they just add another string on their guitars and downtune 32 octaves" everyone thinks their way is the right way, every generation thinks they are the center of the universe
truth is Korn doesn't even down tune that much, it's just full step down on 7 strings. Though they might have a few songs they tune lower. They created their own sound, love the early Korn records...
