Balls, sure, but not brains. Don't make anyone with guns and anger issues mad. Fight it in court, not the side of the road. His arguing didn't change anything, he still got the ticket, but he did risk escalating the situation and risking his life. He won with a lawsuit afterwards.

My guess is that the officer took the "easy" way and just followed his superior and supressed/shut off his own moral-compass. This is an extreme example, but compare this to the guards at nazi-camps.

The first amendment states you can record any and everything in public. There is no expectation of privacy in public. It’s called freedom of press if anybody’s breaking the law right now it’s the police.

Just as there has been an intentional effort to divide people by politics and race, there is an intentional effort to hire and keep rogue cops so that law abiding citizens get abused, and distrust them, then citizens paint all cops with the same brush of corruption , which in turn unfairly taints the reputation of the decent officers. There are good auditors out there, but there are some "auditors" who have no understading or respect and just want to bait the police for content, or lawsuits. Law abiding citizes as well as good police officers are both beig played, and the winners are the thugs, whether in uniform or civilian. It's an unending cycle Wise up people. The fabric of society is unraveling.
Tbh I'm gonna go ahead and say that it is my firm belief that good cops should not be able to be baited in the first place. Like, they are the ones who are supposed to be trained for this sort of stuff. If a cop is getting baited so easily, they need better training

Law enforcement as a whole needs to be Restructured. Higher education requirements (A 2.0 GPA, D+, and 16 weeks of training is all you need to be a police officer), Medical evaluation for Health and Steroid usage (steroids are known to increase irritability, anxiety and aggression and cause mood swings, with symptoms of paranoia and lack of emotion), psychological evaluations annually, term limited Civilian Oversight board

Nice review of dirty cops. In the first video, the police stole from their prey and tried to convert a right into a crime. Improper hand signal? Disorderly conduct? Obstructing the ego of a police officer? It'll get thrown out, but I can do a lot of damage before he gets to court. If not now, we'll get him some day. The sergeant didn't make a huge mistake moving Shawn, yes, the cop was being an asshole but Shawn, just turn around and fucking leave. I swear to god people antagonize cops knowing their pissed already, in order to prove a point. I'd have said "Thank you sir" and left. No need to stay.
The cop at the air port was out of line too and he should also be reported. Not protecting the cops but if you don't want to end up in cuffs unjustly don't poke the snake when it's pissed off deal with it when you're free and can fight it.

While the trooper at the airport was in the wrong, the sergeant at the station didn't seem to do anything wrong up until he got in the guy's face and started pushing him. The guy was trying to force him to take a complaint he isn't responsible for taking. If the agency has a formal Internal Affairs division and a public means for filing complaints this guy needs to follow that method.
